Though a pretty young company – it was only established in 2007 – GreenMotion is a British car rental company that has grown rapidly. Based in the United Kingdom where it still has a large share of its business, it has expanded across more than 60 countries worldwide. The company’s name comes from its mission to provide lower-emission vehicle rental. The company operates as a franchise but at the country level. In each different country, it operates, there is a different franchisee.

Many of its franchisees are highly rated. This is shown by the brand having won our 2024 Excellent Car Rental Service Award in 43 different locations. Some of those locations include New Orleans International Airport in Louisiana, Manchester Airport in the company’s home market, Sydney International Airport in Australia, San Jose Airport in Costa Rica, Rovaniemi and Helsinki Airports in Finland, Krakow Airport in Poland, and Zurich Airport in Switzerland.
