GreenMotion at Lisbon Airport

Cons: Waiting a month for the deposit to be returned.

Cons: Car had all 4 tyres tread near the legal limit. After 3 days, one of the rear tyres had a a bulge, that's how bat it was. Got told to Swap for another car, and the replacement car tyres were also bad. Never again for me

Pros: Really liked the quality of the vehicle. Agents were helpful and timely. Did not try to get me to pay for damages that weren’t my doing like I’ve experienced with other providers.

Cons: Made me pay for young drivers fee. I am 25 and it said on the paperwork drivers under 25. My agent explained this still applies to me at 25 which I don’t agree with. Should change the wording if this is the case.

Pros: The car itself was good and value for money

Cons: Pickup and drop off took ages, particularly the shuttle service from the airport. Only room for 8 people per run, and only one shuttle running.

Cons: They took a huge deposit for the rental and then told us 15-30 we would get a refund after drop off. That’s ridiculous no other company has done this. We rented 3 cars while in Europe.

Pros: Very helpful, we did an upgrade and the agent was more than willing to accommodate us and very informative

Cons: Car fuel tank was under 1/2 wich is hard to leave the same. I was given the notes and it said tank full. ( Only saw this when I got to hotel)

Pros: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Cons: Green Motion is a SCAM company. Read reviews for them all over the internet (Trip Advisor, etc). BUYER BEWARE. This is a terrible company and they need to be removed from Discover Cars.

Pros: Green motion closed by the time we arrived due to flight delay. The next day they said my rentak was no longer avaliable and made me pay for new rental

Pros: The car was great. Another member of our party rented from someone else and their car had problems. The price is pretty good

Cons: It took at least 2 hours from when we arrived at the shuttle pick up to when we drove off in our car. The hard sell on their insurance was fierce and would have tripled the price. Then when we went to a different agent and said our credit card would cover it he said “you’re really smart”. There was an €80 surcharge because there was sand in the car.

Cons: The car pick-up was very slow. We waited in the queue for one hour and there was only a slow woman at the reception, even if there were a lot a people waiting to pick-up their cars.

Pros: Very easy to check in and out.

Cons: I got a new hybrid vehicle. After I left the rental company I figured out where the gas gauge was and noticed that the tank was only half full. I paid full to Full. Also I got the full rental insurance from discover cars. Green motion knew nothing about it and tried to sell me the same insurance. Since they knew nothing about it they also put a 3,000 euro hold on my credit card.

Pros: Friendliness of agents and car was great

Cons: The time waiting inbetween drop off and pick up was too much at times

Cons: They didn’t pick us up at the airport for over 90 min. When they did arrive they didn’t have space for all the people waiting and left me on the curb with a crying baby and pregnant.

Cons: Checkout was fairly easy. But the cars need to be inspected a little bit better. The brakes did not seem good.

Cons: Car pick up and drop off were both very very slow. We provided information prior to pick up and that did not help improve how slow the pick up was.

Cons: Shuttle took an hour to pick us up. Then checking out the car took another hour even though we checked in online prior to arriving. Tried to sell us insurance even though we already had insurance. They wasted two hours of our trip, and shuttle wouldn’t take us anywhere except the airport so we had to uber when we returned the car.

Pros: They were professional. But when we first checked out the car to us, they were more interested in trying to get rid of a message that was coming up on the screen of the car saying that it needed an oil change. They assured me it didn't and the car was fine the whole trip. We never did a walkthrough for the car.

Cons: They didn't do a walkthrough of the outer condition of the car. Dents, scratches, etc., when I first picked up the car. And they did not do a walkthrough once we dropped off the car. And once I received the final bill, only then were there photos of scratches on the lower half of the car. I assume I am not being held responsible for those because I did not have one accident/dent/scratch on the car while I was driving.

Cons: Got a Dacia instead of car promised, but it was fine. They tried to sell additional insurance which I refunsed but I had no problems when returning car.

Cons: Extremely Frustrating. I reserved a large station wagon with a lot of seating space and trunk space, the Peogot 508 Stwagon, but that one or any other stwagon like it was not available. I was given an SUV which is less safe, was smaller and I had to use the back seats to transport luggage and bags for two weeks. Frustrating that the customer plans are so ignored and is basically forced to take a car so different than what was reserved and just make do. Not right.

Cons: 1. Opening hours - it closes at early. We needed to pay extra 75 euros to pick up after 22:00. Other rental companies doest have this charge usually, or they charge much less

Pros: This is the third time I rent with green motion, because they are so great to work with. The cars are well maintained and their process is very straight forward. The car was so clean it looked brand new! The staff is well informed and can answer all your questions. Will be renting again with them next time for sure and have recommended them to many others who have also been consistently satisfied. Thank you green motion team!

Cons: I reserved a Peugot 508 station wagon but when I arrived, they said I would receive an equivalent, which is fine, but they gave me a sedan. I needed a station wagon and asked for a Peugot 308 instead as a step down, but to meet my space requirement for my trip. I was still charged for the larger vehicle though I received a smaller one. The price should have been adjusted accordingly.

Cons: At check out they found a way to charge me 150 euros. They found scratches under the car. During check in they checked with me all the parts visible but not under the car. I'm sure I didn't do that damage. I tried to object but they threatened me by telling me that they would take the money from the deposit

Pros: The drop off in Porto went smoothly, once we found the remote location.

Cons: Their cars are not maintained. They take way too long going every inch of the car. They threaten to charge for every new scratch on the car or tires.

Pros: Nice car a little damaged but made note of it so no big deal

Cons: These guys are ripoffs, They make a profit centre out of finding minor (road caused) scratches, less tan 2.5cm and charging ridiculous damage fees. There is no way they will even attempt to repair, so they just put the money in their pockets. Nickel and dime experience and will not use r Them again.

Cons: The representative suposted to wait at the terminal was hiding talking with other friends and colleagues for more then 20-30 minutes, was talking ugly to the customers asked about the late of the shuttle, and after become angry just left all of us outside and went inside the terminal. The person who answered us to the phone this evening after called the agency and asked about the shuttle, used ugly language and just hang up the phone when we was of the middle of our sentence.

Pros: Fast end efficient. I got the car right away.

Cons: the car gave me a warning to fill up Adblue, I filled it up with adblue and keep the receipt as they explain that only gas is my responsibility for running the vehicle. When I return the car and reported what happened, I’m expecting a reimbursement for the money that I used for adblue as it was not my responsibility to add that fluid. They declined, told me that I had to use their code to reimburse. This was not explained at the start and now I lost money for it

Cons: I was forced to take full insurance because i don't have a debit card

Pros: Fast and friendly service.

Cons: The drop off hours are not very good for an early international flight. But the company did make an exception to allow us to return the car early.

Pros: GreenMotion were great. Fast and efficient. Car had a few bumps and scrapes which may have been reflected in the price.

Pros: Everybody was extremely nice and punctual. The car was extremely clean and a joy to drive!

Cons: The car that I received did not match up to the group that I reserved. Furthermore the car was already scratched up and damaged. It was difficult to find all the damage as the car was wet when I was picking it up therefore I was not able to note all the scratches.

Cons: My flight was delayed (nothing i can do about it) and I arrived in Lisbon after 8 pm. The office was closed and there was no way to contact the company. I ended up renting another car from a different company. When I went to greenmotion the next day I was told they didn't have any cars and that my reservation was cancelled. Very bad experience.

Cons: They waited to depart the shuttle van for 40 minutes and then we hit rush hour traffic. Arriving 3 hours before our flight should have been enough time, but we barely made it.

Cons: Não me foi dito que o levantamento do carro seria fora do aeroporto. Tive que apanhar um táxi que me levou ao rent a car por volta das 21:00. Tinha a reserva para as 21:30 e o funcionário disse me que já não podia me entregar o carro porque já era tarde. Tive que voltar no dia seguinte, portanto paguei mais um dia que não usufrui. Aluguei uma viatura “compacto elite” é foi me dado um “Fiat tipo” que me foi trocado uma semana depois por um Seat Leon…

Cons: Unfortunately, as I forgot the pincode of my credit card, I could only use my debit card. Had my own insurance as coverage. Green motion changed the terms in such a way that I could only use their expensive (but good) insurance for some complicated reason. We improvised a deposit, which would have also been possible without their own insurance I believe. That was a pity! But I was happy to be depart finally. Otherwise it’s an ok company. I just paid an insurance 3x the amount of rental!

Cons: Car was smalled than class i booked. Car fuel tank not full making return difficult. I ended up over filling the tank by probably €30.

Cons: This company uses Bolt (Uber like) service to pick up and drop their costumers in the airport. Unfortunately they don't have a pick up point in the airport, so you never know where the pick up will happen unless you call the Bolt driver.
