Cons: We were sorely disappointed to learn, when we arrived to the pickup counter, that our pre-paid booking of $178 required an additional $380 to purchase insurance, because the very VERY fine print on the contract said we could NOT use our own car insurance provider. We walked away and used Lyft/Uber for our Florida trip and had a great time. Do NOT recommend Discover Cars or their partner, Green Motion.
Pros: Scam artist
Cons: I had a binder showing covers for insurance. I had my agent able to increase my coverage to the outrageous amount the rental demanded and they would not accept it. Wanted to triple my price. Then would not take me back to airport when I refused the car and said they could not refund my prepaid costs. Filed claim with VISA

Cons: The instructions to get to the off site shuttle was awful. The instructions on the confirmation was lacking details. Called Green Motion 3x and spoke to 3 different people. Each subsequent one gave us a bit more info. By the time we got picked up, we were in a bad mood.

Pros: nothing. Staff was late at 6am to inspect cars and shuttle to the airport. THere were 6 people there dropping off at once. In order to take the shuttle to go to the airport on time, they could not inspect every car and you could not make sure of the results of the inspection.

Cons: Inability to comprehend when presented with a simple billing question; the whole declaration page demand issue; a complete lack of customer service; and no manager available, just to name a few.
Pros: The people who work the desk are terrible. I waited at least 10 minutes before anyone showed up at the desk.
Cons: I am handicapped and before I rented the car I called and asked if I could be dropped off by the Southwest door, and was told yes that would be fine. When I dropped off the car, I was told that was not the case and I was furious! Finally, the person who drives the van to the airport clocked out and drove me on his own time. He was a life saver as I have severe pain in my knee and cannot walk very far.

Cons: This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a car rental company! BUYER BEWARE! There car are advertised at an affordable rate which they ask you to prepay in full however when you go to collect your car they tell you you need $300,000 properly damage liability insurance which costs an additional $220. The good old bait and switch tactic. Meanwhile, most states and reputable car rental agencies only require $10,000 which your personal car insurance usually covers.

Cons: Have to pay extra if you use your own insurance. More if you use theirs. Gas was on full but still had to pay for an extra gallon since it wasn’t past the full line upon drop off. Deposit was $1000. Higher than most places. Need to show them a copy of your insurance policy declaration with coverage of $300,000 or you have to buy their insurance. This is unlike most car rental places and I have rented at multiple car rentals.

Cons: Where to start. Maybe with it was supposed to be a small SUV and we got a Corolla? Or that it took 15 mins to get anyone to come to the front of the store to pick up the car? Or that the cars bumper needed to be popped back in by the time we drove 20 minutes.

Manual door locks and windows... horrible customer service, rude, ruined my vacation to Ft Lauderdale and Miami, will never go back because of this horrible experience.

Put a complaint in to BBB and AG. Not worth the few dollars less to put your safety and sound mind at risk. Also contacted the CEO... Pros: Relatively quick once we arrived at the rental office. Use of photo sharing app to make the process of checking the car for defects more efficient.
Cons: Tried to pressure me to buy several little add-ons that together would have ended up doubling the cost. They were using a vehicle with engine problems to shuttle us to their office (it broke down twice in the span of the week that we were there). Their sales associate was having real troubles speaking English, which might not have been an issue except that she had to try to give me specific directions over the phone for where to wait for her, which caused an even longer wait to be picked up.
Pros: One agent was helpful and did give us her cell phone number and it was the only thing that made it okay.
Cons: Bad vehicle, recommending that customers pay for repairs and they’ll get reimbursed, no one to bring new vehicle. We paid over $250 additionally to rent another vehicle because of this. No vehicle replacement at all.

Cons: We waited over 2 hrs before someone pick us up at the airport. I had to call a few time as well as I had to talked with an airport employee to use her cellphone in order to find out the exact pick location. We had to walk back and forth to find where we needed to be for the pickup. There was no Green Motion sign anywhere and no one knew that your company ever existed. We arrived at our final destination around 21h30 and my family (4 children and wife) we were finally able to eat supper.

Cons: The fact that the car was "cancelled" without my being informed! Vanessa, who is supposedly the manager, couldn't have cared less - as I stood there with 3 kids and luggage. She in fact started speaking in Spanish telling her co-worker that I wanted a refund and they weren't going to give me one. My oldest daughter is fluent in Spanish, so that definitely backfired. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I'm also seeking compensation for the $50 I spent on Uber.

Pros: They hosed us down for this sun pass scam they have going. You have to pay per day for a sun pass as well as any tolls you take, and if you don’t you pay around 25 buck, plus the toll every time you use one. So instead of us paying 12 cash, we paid the renal car company 62. Nice.

Cons: The shuttle took a long time to pick me up. The car was not full clean and the stereo didn’t work. There was no recycling despite being called “Green” Motion and having signs on the wall about the importance of recycling.

Cons: The customer service, timeliness, cleanliness of their car seats, and their insisting we purchase the toll package even though we only ever saw one toll road on our trip and drove quite a bit. So we ended up paying forty dollars more than we had originally agreed upon for no reason at all other than they wanted to get more money from us. I was very disappointed.
Cons: No shuttle to rental facility, nobody available to answer phone, voicemail full. It's as if the facility closed and did not bother to notify reservation holders. It's worthy of a BBB report.
Cons: A sunpass was already assigned to the car so we couldn't add out own sunpass. They charge a rental fee for Sunpass but we already had one. Had to take non toll roads. Very hard to find the shuttle. Had to call numerous times. Shuttle was not where the instructions said it was.

Cons: I followed the arrival instructions I received via email and when I called the phone number as instructed, all I reached was a recorded message in Spanish. Ended up calling a GreenMotion office in England where they also had trouble reaching Ft Lauderdale, but eventually arranged a pickup for me. The people I dealt with for the pickup were incapable of clear communication. I honestly thought GreenMotion might have been a scam. Nothing about it seemed professional or well-organized. NEVER AGAIN.

Cons: EVERYTHING! -It was listed through Kayak as "In Terminal." It isn't. -The instructions through car hire said to go to the car rental shuttle center. Green Motion stated they are not allowed to pick up there and I had to walk back to the airport. -I ordered a compact/economy E car. Myself, along with EVERY SINGLE customer there received a mini van as they "had no other cars." -The agents didn't know anything and barely spoke English (and I speak Spanish as well). -The car was DISGUSTING!

Cons: I will never rent a vehicle from Green Motion again. The agreement that was sent to me said that a transponder was recommended to rent for highway toll charges. They refused to rent me the vehicle unless I paid $6.95 per day for the transponder rental. The customer service from the manager was appalling. He was unapologetic and refused to even compromise. He told us if we did not pay the transponder daily charge he would cancel our reservation and drive us back to the airport.

Cons: the airport pick up was a complete mess. We waited more than 30 min with a bunch of children, luggage, etc. They had no idea what they were doing on this point. But when they did get us, they were so nice it was hard to stay mad.
