Pros: GreenMotion left us without a car on a family trip twice despite booking months ahead and offered no assistance per alternative.
Cons: Unreliable, no car!
Cons: Green Service apparently cancel your booking if you are more than 2 hours late. We were charged more to hire another vehicle not of a good quality. I don't blame the staff as they tried their best.
Pros: Drop off was great and quick. They called a taxi for us.
Cons: Car had many little scratches but no problem at drop off. We had taken a lot of photos at pick up. Agent at pick up was not so friendly.

Pros: Close to airport, convenient shuttle, they can speak English which helps with ease of communication, competitive rates.
Cons: Didn’t like the paper license on windshield as it blocked visibility for passenger. This should be kept in different place as I was passenger and trying to navigate.
Pros: Excellent and kind staff, SUV was available upon arrival to the rental office and shuttle from the airport was quite convenient.
Cons: Everything went quite well. I do not have any issues or complaints at all.

Cons: Car was ok, but not in great shape. Spare tire was bald.

Cons: I have rented a lot of cars but never had such a damaged and old one as with GreenMotion. The engine hardly had any power, some hills were barely possible to drive. The cars I usually rent in this category are newer, have more power and are less damaged. In Europe you get an VW Golf or Peugeot 308 for these prices.

Pros: The SUV that was delivered on the third day was okay.
Cons: I received a 2 wheel drive small car with a small engine for 3 days of the rental term. I did not receive the 4 wheel drive SUV that was what I paid for. This created a major inconvenience for the first part of our trip since we could not reach the areas that required a 4 wheel drive SUV.
Cons: They didn’t have the car I reserved and gave me a bad car

Cons: Pick up from airport didn’t go very smoothly as we were in early so no one to greet us and couldn’t get hold of them on phone . We were helped by a local man in thee Ed end and all was good
Pros: The bus service to the airport.
Cons: The person who initially served me was rude and it was hard to ask any questions. It looked like he was about to explode at any time.

Pros: The staff were polite and largely helpful except on the point of the insurance excess, see other comments.
Cons: High cost of extra insurance to cover theft. Their basic cover has $5000 excess and it was very expensive to cover for this excess.
Cons: Car did feel expensive for the quality- but Costa Rica roads aren’t built for nice cars, just practical ones!
Cons: I would never ever do any rental with green motions in any country. Such a rip off people. They tried everything they can to not honour what I booked online.
Cons: Waited 20+ mins for collection at the airport then comfortably over an hour in a queue to collect the car. Never had such a poor pick up experience before.

A Young driver fee is not applied.
Maximum rental age is 85 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
The driver license must be written in Latin, English, Cyrillic alphabet.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country.
UK customers must bring their DVLA check code along with their photo ID. This check code can be obtained from the DVLA website.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners. Any other cards or cash payments are not accepted.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
Delivery/collection service is not provided.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
