Pros: Tiny rental office located behind an old disused Holiday Inn building which seemed to have 2 vested guards at the front door. Only men were allowed to go in and put of this building being used for purposes not having to do with a hotel, even though the Holiday Inn signage was still hanging. I took the Hotel "Happy" shuttle bus here from Heathrow and had to walk around withy bags to the back of the "Holiday Inn" building where the tiny rental office was located.

Cons: I returned my car and hoped to take the "Hotel Hoppa" bus to the Renaissance Hotel, the hoppa bus driver said he wouldn't take me there even though I knew it was on the Hoppa route. My cell phone was dead so I couldn't get Uber. I asked in the rental office if I could charge my phone and get an Uber and one employee said "were closing in 5 minutes so you better get a cab". He called a friend with a "cab" service who charged me £28 whereas Uber would have been £8 (once I got my phone on).

Pros: Returning car was fast

Cons: The agent at the pick up desk tried his hardest to get me to purchase car insurance even though I had already purchased full cover online. Also, I booked car for 1,000 miles for whole of trip and he stated I could only do 100 miles per day which was quite hilarious. He was rude when he realized I was not going to fall into the trap of purchasing additonal insurance even though he tried pressurizing me to do so.

Pros: I had a new vehicle so it was great. Jay was personable and helpful. Drop off was a little slower but I still was in and out relatively quickly.

Cons: The only negative was that the car only had a quarter tank at pick up. I have some experience with left hand driving but most renters don’t. It is stressful enough negotiating driving on the left without having to find a petrol station right away. Not a big deal but full to full would be helpful.

Cons: Our experience with this rental company was poor. The process to get the car was really inefficiently organised and it took us more than an hour. During this period many other customers in the line had issues, so it was not just our case. If they need so much extra information they should ask customers to provide this in advance online. Pros: Friendly, polite staff. The price of the rental vehicle was the best I could find.

Cons: The tiny office in a shed-like little building hidden away in the car park at the back of a run down hotel miles from the airport doesn't inspire confidence in the company. The car had surface marks in many places, particularly all along the driver's side. I noted as much as I could on the rental form but I still worried for the week I had it. Luckily it was OK in the end.

Pros: Nice car. Needed interior cleaning.

Cons: Had to wait over 30 mins for the shuttle bus, for a 20 min ride. Then stood in line for 45 mins to start the process. Was given the hard sell for extra insurance even though i had full coverage and my rental document clearly stated i should not accept extra coverage. Despite the extra coverage they held a huge security deposit, $2,000 ish. Had to walk to the other side of the hotel to pick up the car with 3 cases, why can't the staff bring the car to the counter? More to say but no room!

How could you imagine a Countryman can host 4 pax and then 3 luggages? They upgraded us to a Mercedes with 30 pounds per day but with the insurance of 40+ per day. Pros: despite the initial hard sell on insurance and being hit w/a large damage deposit for refusing (Our discover car hire said we had coverage) we were treated fairly upon return w/damage to one wheel questioned for which we had pictures to prove pre-existed. The final inspection was fair and fast. car was great and handled 5 people plus luggage. skoda wagon.

Cons: i got the impression that they make their money on damages not covered by insurance..which caused some anxiety. They were all about taking photos of existing damage before getting behind the wheel for the first time to document condition. I had the car for 2 weeks logged over 725 miles and fortunately despite being from the states and dealing w/uk's narrow streets and garages etc...i didn't put a mark on the car. Initial impression-bad final impression-good! overall quick and fair.

Pros: The guy I spoke to in Heathrow was very honest. Very fast service. Quick to communicate via email. Very nice car and was very clean.

Cons: Heathrow office never answers the phone. Was told they are so cheap because they make their money charging for scratches etc out of the deposit. However, I didn't experience this as a problem when I dropped the car off and the inspection wasn't pedantically close. Hard to actually find the office and where to collect the car. The entrance/ exit of the car collection is through some very thin width restriction bollards.

Cons: Ridiculous time spent queuing to pick up the car because all the agents were trying to persuade every customer to take out Greenmotion's own insurance policy (at excessive cost) and then cancel existing cover after leaving the offices, and to increase daily mileage limits. Took over 1.5 hours from arriving to collect the car and driving off the property.

Cons: We tried to point out marks on the car at pick up but the staff told us not to worry and that the marks were not significan. At return we were charged for a 'scratch' that had been there at pick up. It was clear to us that this was a profit making exercise. We were extremely unhappy and will recommend to family and friends that they avoid Green Motion. We will also leave feedback on social media warning people against using this company as I wouldn't want anyone else to suffer like we did.

Pros: Nothing. They take pride in scamming you out of money, they are all part of it. The reason they charge you so little in hiring the car is so they get you to take out their insurance which adds about minimum of £40/day. If you use your own travel insurance, they will get you back by giving you a car which already has damage on it (which you can hardly see, unless you squint your eyes and look at various angles, you might just be able to make it out)

Pros: Dreadful experience - green motion office was closed when I arrived to collect my car and I spent the night On a sofa in local hotel reception. Car was filthy, dented and scratched in more places than not and I was given an “upgrade” I didn’t want and it cost me more money.

Cons: You sell an insurance package on your website which the green motion representative told me was rubbish when I commented that surely as they were represented by your website they should approve this product and why was it offered to me he said "well that's the problem with booking on line you are offered insurance products that aren't good ! I'd love to know how anyone would even know about green motion if they weren't on your website. In the end he persuaded me to cancel your insurance .

Pros: Car itself was in very good condition

Cons: Very long wait to pick the car up - about 50 minutes in the queue - not what you want at any time let along after a 24 hour trip from Australia. On return a tiny dent (almost invisible) was found on the car and so a "dent charge" was made. This may or may not have been justified. The dent was so small that it could have been there when I picked the car up - I wouldn't have seen it at the level of inspection I made at pickup time

Pros: Patient agent.

Cons: Transportation to and from airport is not convenience at all and the bus fee that we have to pay. Lucky us that we have small money from overseas. Timing for pick up is not convenience at all (Need to be afternoon??). Our flight arrived earlier but have to wait for the car then we arrived our destination super late!!!! Size of the car, we traveled from overseas with big suitcases and they almost could not fit in to the car.

Pros: Not alot. Pick up guy was very helpful but knew nothing about the car.

Cons: Each person in the queue took 20 mins to be processed and I was there for 1 hour before going to the car. The discussion re the cdw was awfull. I was informed that unless i took out the extra insurance I would be liable for the full value of the car. The explanation was terrible and I nearly gave up and left without the car. I have hired many cars in many countries and this was the worst experience ever.

Pros: Most staff was very friendly and courteous.

Cons: I was aggressively upsold a luxury upgrade by an agent who refused to take no for an answer. I would not use the company again. It took about three hours to pick up the car because the agent would not give me the option to rent the standard card I had reserved. Then the car he upgraded me to was far too large for me and I had to return it and rent a smaller car.

Cons: The company did not have the size of car reserved available. The first alternate they provided was defective Service was very poor when the vehicle broke down They have charged foe an alleged scratch which was probably there upon pick up but not visible due to the car being wet and has not even broken the paintwork. They clearly operate a business model based upon maximising revenue through bogus claims. I do not believe that you should offer them as a provider as they are clearly not reputable

Cons: Car was dirty on the inside and has no petrol upon pick-up. Not enough attendees when I dropped the car off - one person trying to serve 5 or 6 people. Off-airport location is not very convenient, and for that reason alone I will likely book with a company that is physically at the airport next time.

Cons: We arrived 1/2 hour late to pick up rental car due to traffic congestion only to find that the car we had hired was no longer available as we were late. After much haggling we managed to secure another vehicle. The vehicle had only just been returned by another hirer and had not been serviced or checked over. Upon us receipting the vehicle the hirer did not go around and check the vehicle for any damage /cleanliness etc so we were forced to take as is. Our bond has still not been refunded.

Cons: Over-charging and erroneous charges. Atrocious customer service when difficulties arose. Even though I provided photos to refute charges there was no refund of money. Total intransigence and lengthy delays in responding to queries while ignoring any issue raised regarding my dissatisfaction. Their lack of response has resulted in unwarranted delays in enabling me to address matters with other parties in a timely fashion.

Rental Conditions

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Mileage: 500 miles per rental, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 1790.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Free modifications, State Tax.
Mileage policy
Mileage is limited to 100 miles per day.
For each additional mile an additional charge of 0.30 GBP per mile will apply.

Mileage limitations will apply if the car is to be used for crossing country borders.
Mileage will be limited to 100 miles per day for the entire rental period.
For each additional mile an additional charge of 0.50 GBP per mile will apply.
It is possible to purchase the Unlimited Mileage option for an extra charge of 7.80 GBP per day.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 80 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

The driver license must be written in Latin, Roman alphabet.
Licences issued in non-EU are not accepted.
Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, USA.
Driver licenses from the following country(ies): China will be accepted only if the translation is approved by the Consulate or Embassy. Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP). In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
UK customers must bring their DVLA check code along with their photo ID. This check code can be obtained from the DVLA website.
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, additional ID showing home address (e.g. Utility bill), proof of entry/exit into/out of the country, bank statement or utility bill, boarding pass.
The following document(s): proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill), bank statement or utility bill must not be older than 4 months.
ID documents must be hard copies; documents held on mobile devices will not be accepted.
Please note that provisional driver license won’t be accepted. Licences issued in Albania, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Aruba, Azerbaijan, Benin, Cameroon, Congo, Djibouti, Dominican Republic, Fiji, Gabon, Georgia, Ghana, Guatemala, Iran, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Lesotho, Libya, North Macedonia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Samoa, Senegal, South Africa, South Korea, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Yemen, Zimbabwe, Philippines, Eswatini, Haiti, Niger, Pakistan, Suriname, Afganistan, Mauritania, Indonesia, Iraq, Burkina Faso, Papua New Guinea, Zambia, Guyana, Rwanda, Palestina, North Korea, Dominica, Eritrea, Tonga, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Arab Countries, Gambia, Mali, Guinea, Somalia, Burundi are not accepted.
Certain professional groups, such as rally drivers, are not permitted to rent a vehicle.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card and will be released within 30 days after drop-off.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Additional excess conditions may apply for drivers who hold a licence from the following country(ies): Australia, Canada, USA.

In the event of damages to the car, without providing a police report, CDW and any other additional protection become voided.
The driver is fully responsible for the cost of the repairs for any damage to the mirrors, tires, undercarriage and all mechanical parts of the vehicle. This is not limited to the excess amount.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: MasterCard, Visa.
The following payment methods are not accepted for payment: American Express, Cash, Debit cards.
All credit cards must be capable of the following: CHIP verification, PIN verification, Embossed; cards without this capability will not be accepted.
Credit card must be valid after rental period for at least 60 days.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Unlimited mileage.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Details are available from the rental company's reservation office.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information

The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
Please note that the rental company will check for any endorsements or penalties (traffic offenses or penalty points) on renter's driver license and that renter may be refused the car if there have been any in the last 5 years.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 240 minutes.
