Pros: Nothing. Not efficiente at all.
Cons: They did not provide us the car because out flight was late and we advised them!!! They did not refound our deposit!! we lost the money. WE DO NOT RECCOMEND DISCIVER CARS OR GREEN MOTION!!!!
Pros: They had a lot of extra charges in the end. I had a small claim with damage to the car and they are making it very difficult to file the claim.

Pros: They made everything easy.
Pros: The service was terrible, completed the online registration to find that they had lost my info - this included copies of my passport, driving licence and utility bill a great start for GDPR! ended up having to bring all info with me to the pick up. Staff at the desk were to busy talking to colleagues to actually sort out my hire. I got so fed up with the lack of interest in the communication I had to walked away without the rental.

Cons: Staff was not very helpful. We could not move the car as the front breaks seized. Asked for help, but the person at the desk did not know what to do. Took nearly 2 hours to collect the car. Also no flexibility as we weren’t allowed to use my wife’s credit card or my debit card, eventually they charged us 200 pounds extra on top of quotation. Very disappointing unpleasant experience
Cons: Had to take the premium booking as they wouldn't except my credit card option for the hold. If I had of been notified in advance of this requirement and what payment options are accepted I would have made sure the funds were available. Car ended up costing 4 times the price. I also left something in the car and told it's not possible to post it to me - after spending so much money putting my belonging in an envelope and posting it back to me was not a lot to ask

Cons: We had to wait 1.5 hrs in the Queue as the Check in was so slow after that, I did not bring in the passport as I was travelling from London & I was Blatantly refused even if I had an email copy. I had a UK Full drivers licence & a credit card statement. Absolutely Shocking, a lot of people had some issues or the other.
Cons: They are not flexible at all. Their payment methods are bad. Their insurace policy is unclear. A custumer feels scamed, because everithing is hidden in the fine print. The front desk is at no help at all and constantly tries to sell you products you do not need. Although, the car alone was ok, pretty new and in the good condition. It was poorly cleaned- between the front seats there was peaces of left over food and garbage. We definitely would not rent or recommand Green motion to anyone.

Pros: This was my first time using Green Motion and I felt that their Customer Service was far better than dealing with their number one competitor located within Edinburgh Airport. Their attention to detail and explanation of the rental agreement was not pushy. Their overall service was excellent.

Cons: The main reason is the service of Greenmotion was simply unacceptable, in terms of personal attitude, cost, and more than all a form of pressure, reclaiming 267 pounds for a very minor damage on the plastic bumper, which was initially accorded as covered by the supplementary assurance. For me it is a form of gangsterism, having finally paid more than 700 pounds for 9 days of renting
Pros: Nothing - it was rubbish
Cons: Very slow, both the customers on either side of me were also unhappy with the service. When the agents found out that the car I booked in advance was not available, they offered two other cars at between 2 and 4 times the original price. I hired a VW Caddy or similar, and was given a 3.5 tonne van, which is impossible to drive in town, impossible to park in one parking place, and uses more fuel. I was told this was an upgrade, even though I told the agent it was totally unsuitable.
Cons: Unreasonable list of documents many of which GM have no legal requirement to insist on, one of which meant that we were not able to proceed with the hire which at 10.pm was a MAJOR issue. We were definitely not the only ones left stranded. I have a valid paper licence with my current address and therefore there is no legal requirement to obtain a DVLA number for the car hire.

Pros: I found nothing good, sorry. They could not fulfill and they then wanted to charge me more than double what I had thought I would be paying. They took ages finding me a suitable vehicle (see below) , making me late for my business appointment and throwing out my plans for the day. They finally found me a Mercedes to drive but charged me extra for their lack of availability. I should have been given a free upgrade. I could not believe how inefficient they were. I felt they were a tinpot operation
Cons: When i checked in, they told me they did not have a car for me. Instead of a Fiat 500 type of car booked, they offered me a 9-seater diesel van!!.I thought they were joking but they were not. I refused this obviously. I was driving the back lanes of East Lothian on my own. WHY would I want a 9 seater van? The car they eventually gave me -charging me extra - was on reserve tank of petrol - virtually empty. Not a great start. Two bars on the gauge would have been more helpful. Hopeless.

Cons: They dangerously allowed a car to go out for rental that was unsafe with a slow puncture. The tyre pressure guage had been ripped off making it impossible to inflate. This was not mentioned at walkaround. Later after sending failed car back they took all deposit and fee with no resolution to a new hire as i had to return car after finding the damage. Ty were all very rude and unhelpful and just took all the money. I had to get legal advise and got the money back for now. 1705 deposit plus 173

Cons: Neil Fusco is a liar! He is unprofessional. Car had multiple scratches, dents and marks but he would not add these to the damage form. The car was also dirty. I took photos. Upon return Green Motion charged me £680 for damages I did not cause. I had to prove my innocence with the photos. The stress has caused illness and sickness. Absolutely disgusting service.
Pros: used before so now know location & challenges so leave extra time to collect. 1st time I hired couldn’t find offsite location, 1 hour for them to answer their phone & couldn’t tell me where the pick up bus went from & no refund so ease of finding can only be a 1 even though I know where they are now. On a previous return I was pressurised into leaving a good review in real time by the operator before I could leave. On a budget I still use them, awful start but they have improved now
Cons: Always slow to collect cars, systems not working properly this time. Also unpleasant - always arguments going on as customers discover small print/extra charges/cash cards not being accepted etc. Returning car told had to go via another office - paperwork already done & car returned so what was the extra things needed? Nothing, a charm offensive to avoid more bad reviews online but delaying customers from getting the shuttle bus so I wasn’t impressed at more delay however well intentioned

There's no reason I should know all of this about other customers, but added to their incompetence and misquoted prices, there was no privacy in their trailer passing as an offic

Cons: We showed up a little early (a bit after 10:30; had put 12 PM as arrival time) and were told that they didn't have any compact cars, only SUVs. Rather than being given a clear option to wait for the car I had reserved, I was given an elaborate sales pitch on an SUV that cost three times what the compact car I'd originally reserved cost. Furthermore, I had to use my own credit card rather than my wife's (which we'd have preferred to use) because I would be the principal driver.
Cons: It took a long time to pick up the car as there were no staff working. I dropped off the car at 0630 and they wanted me to pay 36 pounds as it was before 7am. The 95 miles a day allowed before paying extra was ridiculous. The boot would not lock. Would not use this company again.
Cons: They're operating out of a temporary office, and their system was down when I tried to pick up the van. It then started raining and they had no indoor space for people to wait. They handed out umbrellas but it was still a bad experience.

Cons: The location is small in a trailer. It took an 1 hour to pick up the car. I had to stand outside of the trailer in line. The agent told me I had to pay for their insurance because my card was not embossed. This is absurd as I used the same card at Enterprise two days later.

Cons: Literally one of the most inefficient operations I have ever seen and that is bad considering I am an operations consultant. Staff workload was unbalanced. Archaic procedures including the need to have an embossed card and asking irrelevant questions. It is unreal the level of inefficiency compared to renting a car from National in America. I literally walk out to the car and the keys are inside the car. I drive to the checkout counter, the attendant checks my license and I leave.

Cons: NCP Drivers who do the picking up are not friendly in any way shape or form! You need to change the description, Look for the friendly driver in the yellow bus! Instead you could write, look for the yellow bus with the angry looking driver who will try to ignore you!
Cons: I ddidn't get an electronic copy of the rental agreement. They did not send a itemized bill for damage to the car. There is no way to contact them for support.
Cons: Although I was covered by Discover Car Hire insurance, the Green motion desk clerk blocked a high amount on my credit card, not trusting third party third party insurance ( by the way it is fourth day from dropping off the car without damage and this amount is still blocked- don't understand why). I think this was not explained enough when booking the car hire. All the people who hired the car at the same time were surprised by this.
Cons: Shady sales person who tried to squeeze in unnecessary charges by lying about Scotland law. We were told that a $2000+ deposit was standard for all cars rented in Scotland without accepting the expensive car insurance. We were also told that it was unacceptable to charge on ‘chip’ credit cards because ‘US security is so far behind Scottish’ and chip-less cards are more secure (?!). He also quoted us at $1000/week for a car but ‘was able to find a better rate’ (of $400) after I left.

Cons: The location (within NCP car-park) is very awkward for someone arriving by car. We live in Edinburgh and did not arrive by plane/shuttle bus. We arrived at GreenMotion with our own car (we were hiring a 7-seater because of guests) and had to drive in it and out of (and around) the NCP car park to avoid being charged (you can only stay within the car park for free for up to 10 mins which wasn't enough time)

When I saw people taking photos of micro-scratches, I was worried this was a risk and ended up paying for their insurance to avoid problems. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!

Pros: I ended up booking another rental (see next).
Cons: There were hidden fees. The first was a limit of 500 miles on the rental with per mile overage charges. That was in the fine print. But then they also did not accept my US credit card (Chase Sapphire Preferred) because it did not have traditional front-facing embossing. They would have accepted my debit card if I paid for full insurance... which more than doubled the fee! So I booked a new rental with another agency, which ended up saving money due to having unlimited miles + my card’s insurance
Cons: When I tried to pick up the car, they asked for a card with PIN verification. I was not clearly notified during the booking process that this would be required. The only card I had that usually does PIN verification did not work. The representatives then offered to charge me nearly 3x the price I originally booked to let me keep the booking. I refused and went to Arnold Clark, where I had no problems and was given a much cheaper rate.
Cons: There were WAY more customers than representatives. Part of our party had to wait outside in the rain while the driver was jammed in a trailer. My husband unwittingly signed up for extras including insurance and unlimited miles which were not necessary. I was unable to change the agreement to remove the additional items and charges, even though it had just been signed a few minutes before. That raised the price above a more convenient rental company that I would typically used.

Cons: Long line outside of a trailer to pick up the car. We had left an item in the car when we returned it and emailed them as soon as we realized it (a day and a half before we were flying out), but by the time they responded that they had the item, we were already through security at the airport.

Cons: Very arrogant and rude (service staff all the way through to car inspectors) , the 2 hours I was there they were rude to not only me but many other customers. I witnessed them try to jam anyone they could and their excuse was it’s not our fault, you need to take it up with the booking agent. They wouldn’t even fit a baby seat and told me to find one for our child in a van full of car seats and car seat parts. Discover hire should send a staff member down Without notice to experience

Pros: The GM man recognised me from previously and allowed me to continue with the rental, despite the lack of Utility Bill, but grudgingly. The vehicle was very clean.
Cons: It wasn't clear that I would need a Utility bill in order to rent the car because of having an Edinburgh address. This caused a delay. We were an hour late in arriving and our booked car had been given away. They said this was because we had not booked directly with them. We landed up with an unwieldy 9-seater instead of 5-seater vehicle. (Second time we have had this vehicle instead of the one we 'booked'.)
Cons: they women was rude and left me in a position where I had no choice but to take what they had because I had six people expecting a rental. I was over charged and I cant believe they said they were not affiliated with discover car hire.

Inspection on the car prior to renting was brief but inspection upon return of the car was 20 minutes long and the staff felt/looked under the car until they found a scrape and tried to charge me $1,000 for the alleged damage underneath the car when none existed.

Pros: I cancelled my rental once I was told that I would have to pay an additional £200 because I had a debt card as opposed to a credit card. This is a complete scam. I went to Avis rental car and rented a vehicle with no additional charge.
Cons: The line was long and the car rental lot is located away from the other rental companies which makes it inconvenient. The staff were threatening another customer with exhorbitant costs if he didn't take out the Green Rental insurance policy.
Cons: First of all, the rental desk is not at the airport. You have to take a shuttle to get there and there is no indication anywhere to do so. When we got to the rental desk, the office was smaller than most people's bathrooms and we were made to wait for at least 30 minutes. When we finally reached the desk, a representative with the worst attitude was assigned to us. This person was extremely rude and unpleasant. My booking was for 8am and we reached at 10:15am.
