GreenMotion at Glasgow Airport

Pros: Poor at the start of my rental , perfect on my return

Cons: Hire car rep to me sounded like he disliked women and had no time and he was very rude in fact I was dreading seeing him again but had a nice different chap on return . I wasn’t even shown the controls to the car , good job I can drive any vehicles.

Pros: good people to deal with and a very good range of cars

Cons: Ridiculous up charges, cost more than 3x what we booked online

Cons: Aforementioned issue with payment of insurance and deposit being extremely expensive and unclear during online booking

Cons: Fuel tank was nearly empty when we picked the car up so we had to find a gas station as soon as we got on the road. This could be standard practice in Scotland.

Cons: Try to make me add insurances. Took them time to take me from the terminal. The car had many scratches and bumps.

Pros: The service was appalling, apart from the guy who picked us up, who was cheerful and pleasant. The desk agent wasn't interested, unhelpful and want to get rid of us. She lied about the number of charging points & garages. We found 1 in 5 actually had them, which caused us a lot of angst and worry.

Cons: The basic Vauxhall which we didn't want, didn't have enough charge in it. We explained we needed a vehicle for a journey through underpopulated countryside & were worried about this. The desk attendant was not interested & unhelpful.

Pros: Green motion is also to blame for my serious increase in price I would never recommend

Cons: They screwed up my rental and made me get a car 4 times as much

Cons: We had a couple issues with the rental. The major one being when we showed up we needed proof I had been driving for two years. My license was issued this past year (even though I have had a license for 27 years). He asked if I had my expired one but we are not allowed to keep that in Canada. The other thing is it said we needed an international driving permit which we didn’t when we arrived. It cost over $100 for us to get this and then it wasn’t needed.

Pros: Are GREEN MOTION the car rental company? Or Discovercars? Who IS responsible for the original online contract? The service WAS TERRiBLE ! Please read on...

Cons: Price gouging, forced to pay for MORE insurance having ALREADY paid for comprehensive at point of sale online. Discovercars misrepresented insurance offer as FULL COVERAGE COMPREHENSIVE!! Had to pay ANOTHER 420GBP to pick up car.! Predatory rental practices!? After returning car...it was late. but was returned intact and extra time offered to be paid. Actually made another contract to cover lost days, at double daily market rate! Intend to file formal complaint Better BBureau!

Pros: VERY FRIENDLY WHEN PICKING THE CAR.

Cons: WHEN I RETURNED THE CAR. I ASKED FOR TAXI TO DROP ME HOME CITY CENTER. BUT I WAITED MORE THAN 40 MIN, THEN NO ONE CAME , SO I WALKED TO THE TERMINAL. I WAS NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

Cons: Hired a car for four days, used it for four days and was charged extra mileage based on a three day rental.

Pros: The you man Kamal, who picked me up was efficient, pleasant and personable. I liked the fact that that car was diesel.

Cons: Car not valeted/clean and completely empty of fuel when I got it, despite being told it had 1/4 of a tank. I contacted Robb the manager at green motion, who apologised, initially stating that “dirt can drop off feet into the footwell” until I pointed out - with photographs, sticky marks, and dirt everywhere. He again apologised, on 6/8/20, offering 2 days rental and a 25% discount on my next booking. Which he would put in writing to me that day. To date, I have not received an email.

Pros: Fast efficient no hard sell . Abbas was courteous and polite the car was in good condition and value for money. I have been to this glasgow airport pickup point on multiple occasions and had no problem whatsoever. I would suggest to those who have... to read the conditions carefully..and come with the correct documents and you will sail through and help all the other customers at the same time.Top cars and you are frequently upgraded or given an automatic...should not tell you that....big perk.

Cons: They did not honor our rental car agreement, and would not allow us to rent a car, due to a fabricated "issue" with our credit card. This company seems like a scam.

Pros: Car was what we requested, ran well no problems.

Cons: Felt terrified driving away after they explained all the things that could go wrong and how much it was going to cost if we never took all the extras they offered. Had to take photos all around the car to keep everyone honest. Luckily we had our passport handy and drivers licence, but why they needed our boarding pass from the plane?? Person picking us up at the airport must have been in a hurry as he drove us around to the pick up place like he was in a F1 race.

Cons: Not being told that needed 6 months on credit card before pick up.

Cons: Worst hire car company I’ve ever used. Charged me £870 for a small scratch and dent that I am absolutely certain I did not cause. They gave me the car at night indoors with the lights down, this is the only explanation for me not seeing the damage. Now taken almost a week to produce any type of report as to why they have charged me so much and still nothing. Feel robbed, cheated and insulted. Tried to charge me £60 more than booked on arrival...careful.

Pros: The staff were lovely and the car was nice and clean and spacious. (Newish car). The prepay petrol was a good deal.

Cons: The cost of fully comp insurance was very high. The deposit for the car was also very high. It took quite a while to check in for the first time but I was assured this would be quicker the next time.

Pros: Green Motion were great when handing the vehicle back. They removed the hold on the excess deposit within 48 hours.

Cons: Arrogant staff who were not willing to help. Kept on blaming Discover. The check in staff wanted to charge me £350 for an alternative vehicle.Only when I asked to see the manager did things eventually work out. Even he was not willing to help in the beginning.

Pros: They were efficient and very professional, they were able to accommodate our needs. Good value for money. Our service was provided by a trainee and could not have had better service

Cons: I had technology issues when I arrived in the UK so having to phone to get them to pick me up was a challenge when just arriving in the country, if they could make this a bit easier (not sure how that would be) it is the only thing I could see they could improve

Cons: They're cheap but awful to deal with and they don't take AMEX, my priimary card. I was forced to use an ATM Debit Mastercard for which I HAD to have the cash available. I was lucky I did.

Pros: Nothing. They overcharged me - and did not have the vehicle I requested when I arrived into Glasgow very late at night. They took advantage of me being with very limited alternatives - and charged me for a vehicle I did not request. When I confronted them on return a manager was no where to be found. They have not answered any of my emails. I am very disappointed - and intend to pursue the matter.

Pros: The person who dealt with me was polite and helpful

Cons: I had to wait 40 minutes to be picked up phoned 3 times and was fobbed off with the driver is on his way. The car was dirty and quite damaged. It was an upgrade I paid for and it was unacceptable.

Cons: Had issues that took too long to correct. Two truck from Braemar to Mercedes in Dundee on. Friday. They couldn’t fix it till Monday so tow truck took us to Edinburgh. Not sure why we were sent to Dundee in first place if they couldn’t fix car. Should have been sent to Edinburgh. Too many phone calls that cost us money and too much of our precious vacation time wasted.

Pros: Value for money and responsibility to the environment.

Cons: Cars are not guaranteed. So you might have to be flexible in what you get.

Pros: Nothing, the staff were rude condescending, slow and un-cooperative

Cons: I was forced to pay for an automatic as I was allowed to book a class of car they didn't even stock. I was then charged £1200 deposit for a vehicle with 2700 excess (which was covered by discover car hire) but then they tried to sell me a lower deposit, which would have maid the fee I paid to discover useless. The staff member there was very condescending to myself and my wife, and more focused on making money then explaining anything to us.

Pros: There is nothing to like!

Cons: No flexibility at all. They make it almost impossible to hire a car. Even if I did have my passport then hiring would still have been denied on the basis that I didn't have a utility bill to hand. This mob are not doing your brand any favours at all!

Cons: Car in poor / dangerous condition, rude customer service, lack of flexibility as I booked through you and so they charged additional fees.

Cons: The lady who served us was rude, she insisted I signed paperwork without being allowed to read it, she gave us wrong information about the car (petrol vs diesel), made it feel like we were inconveniencing them by attempting to rent a vehicle from them.

Pros: Overall the experience was unpleasant. However, they young tech assessing the car before it was released was helpful and polite.

Cons: What was promised in the promotion was not delivered. The car cost 50% more than advertised, charges were added on for bogus reasons, the clerk was rude, and the car was smaller than what had been ordered 8 weeks earlier. Not a great way to start the holiday

Pros: Very little. The small print is absolutely ridiculous. Every single person trying to pick up there car seemed furious that there were so many hoops to jump through in order to be able to pick up a car. I could say the price was attractive, but after all the additional costs that add up because of their ridiculous requirements/documents etc it is probably cheaper to go elsewhere (not to mention their extortionate £2500 deposit if you don't own a credit card!).

Cons: Everything! The staff were not friendly, and the small print in the voucher is an absolute scam. All the additional requirements and documents required just to hire a car are imbedded in a lengthy voucher document that the staff kept referring to. I have never had to jump through so many hoops and part ways to so much money temporarily just to hire a bloody car for the weekend! No idea how this company runs a business like this!

Pros: Friendly.

Cons: It took 2 and a half hours to finally hire the car.....including having to return the first car given because it did not have the GPS we paid for.

Pros: Very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Handled stress well because we could see they were clearly overworked with not enough staff. Offered compensation for our time.

Cons: Took much longer than any other rental pick up I have experienced, many others frustrated as well

Cons: I phoned to ask directions for the shuttle pick up. I wasn’t able to hear the directions as it was noisy at the airport and the lady I spoke to was so rude. She said “Oh my GOD, did you hear anything?” Not what I needed after a long international flight.

Cons: They know many use third party website to rent their cars and know it will open up few more door to screw you guys.

Pros: Hyder was a charming young man, very helpful and explained rental terms clearly.

Cons: We arrived late admittedly and I did not ring to tell them but when they were going to offer me a different car for £ 785 plus a deposit of £1750 that was when I refused and walked out. HORRENDOUS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Pros: check in was fast and easy.

Cons: Pick up was slow-- two hours-- because some customers were not organized.

Pros: Superb car.

Cons: Pickup time. The fact, that we paid much more than we should due to our internet booking.
