The list goes on.

Pros: They have a very modern fleet and all to the very best standards

Still have not returned the funds reserved on the card for fuel and travel on toll roads, as well as compensation for the evacuation of the car due to the mechanical failure of the gearbox, which occurred not through my fault.

To be sure I bought a separate INSURANCE from the link om your site. I was OBLIGED to but a new insurance with them (113 euros!!!) because I didn't have a credit card. I actually don't own one. Pros: All went great. There was quite a line to pick up but it moved very quickly. Car in perfect conditions.

We almost missed our flight due to a lack of available transportation back to the airport, which was incredibly stressful. Two members of the staff were extremely unhelpful, repeatedly stating that our transfer would arrive without providing any real information. We ended up waiting nearly 45 minutes for the van to return, and they were less than honest about traffic conditions on the way back

Cons: I've arrived on Sunday and I didn't find ant van to pick up us, after 45 minutes I didn't see any van and I paid 12 euro taxi and 1h45 waiting to pick up the car.

I was previously advised that the return of deposit would have been automatic on returning of the rental car, however today is the 29/09/2024, I am still awaiting for my money to reach my bank account.

Total chaos when dropping of the car, waiting 30 min for drop off, 30 min for coach and only place for 2/4 persons. I had to run 30 minutes to airport to get the flight. Thus 1,5h time for dropping off the car!

Cons: Lisbon pick up was the worst experience I've had in 35 years is international travel. We waited to be seen an hour and a half with only a handful of renters in line. Then we were told we had to buy their full coverage insurance to be covered although we'd already bought full coverage online at the time of booking. It felt very much like a scam, but what choice do you have when your rental company is telling you the full insurance you bought at booking is not going to cover anything?

Also, made a deposit for "Via Verde" which is in case you pass through those lanes crossing the tolls on the highway, which I didn't, I passed through regular tolls in which I had proof of payment in both of the occasions I passed through tolls. Four(4) days after my arrival I still haven't gotten my reimbursement of €100.

Cons: my deposit with DiscoverCars was not included in the overall rental cost, and after returning the car RecordGo added an additional 125 euros charge to my Visa, for which they have not yet provided a clear explanation; we only incurred 25 euros of toll charges, returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas, and caused no damages to the vehicle, so it remains a mystery despite many emails and phone calls to the company.

The employees that were there that night told us that it was impossible, against company policy and that we were lying that one of RecordGo’s employee said that. We didn’t get a refund for the insurance which we only took to be able to return the car early morning next door. Antonio was a really nice guy just trying to help out with a good idea.

I was done in 15 min although the agent was thorough and showed me every (small) imperfection in the car as well as all the controls, and advised me on ViaVerde toll charging. I dropped it off at a very busy time and it still took only 10 min for the agent to thoroughly review the car and process the documentation. It is GREAT that there is a person at the airport to guide those with reservations.

I could only do, because I was alone in the car the whole time. If there had been a co-driver, it would never have worked out. When I asked the employee, he didn't even care, like "it's your problem". The car was in a very bad shape: 70'000km, the car was damaged all over, one tire sensor was broken...

Cons: When I dropped of the car I had to chase someone down to help me checkout. I was ignored while a white man was helped. I am a black American woman and felt irritated about the way I was treated.

Cons: Only thing was the time spent picking the car up, but that's becoming more and more common.

Cons: When we arrived at the airport, we called the phone number given and their numbers were wrong. No option for English speakers, the front desk people were not friendly.

Cons: Very hard to find when returning the car, no GPS in the cars and no information or signs to direct the person back to drop off the car.

Pros: The service was excellent. The transfer to the airport was excellent.

Cons: We reserved a hybrid and the car was empty of battery when we arrived, and was a plug in (and the alternative also empty). The staff was helpful though and kind, and tried to charge it for a bit but the battery was still less than a 1/4 and we weren’t allowed to bring the charging cord. The customer service was good, but I wish The car had been charged since we had to spend a lot of money on gas and would not have reserved an SUV if we had known it was a plug in and that it would be empty.

Cons: The car I was given had tire leaking issues in three of the four tires. It was quite dangerous considering the roads in Portugal, especially in the country.

Cons: - they don't take Amex (when I booked the website said they DO) - it took over an hour to pick up the car (and only 2 people in front of us) - we booked from DiscoverCars and were looking out for that name at the airport. However it turned out it was Record2Go - instructions said to call them as soon as we landed and we phoned over 10 times and no one ever answered the phone - the driver who took us to the airport was texting and reading texts on his phone the whole time and we almost crashed

Pros: Absolutely nothing. The car was fine, and the price seemed good, but the customer service was the worst I've ever experienced with a rental car company. It seemed that we were getting a good deal, but in the end it would have been worth paying more for a reputable rental company.

Cons: DO NOT RENT FROM RECORD-GO. After renting the car we decided to cross the border from Portugal to Spain but needed to inform Record-go that we planned to cross the border for coverage.Phoned the Lisbon office 50 times and no one answered; Sent WhatsAPP messages to the number they provided; they received our messages and read them, however zero response. We also sent email to cust. service and called central booking but no luck. Ridiculous.Spent hours but ended up renting another car for 4 days.

Cons: The car was not the one expected being an Opel which is not as good as being a Seat. We do not want an estate The car was covered in scratches and we had to take numerous photographs of these and the clutch position is very high so very difficult to drive in hilly Lisbon. We were almost forced into buying a toll device And placing a huge deposit on the car despite having a waiver damage. We then have been charged a couple of bills with no email information as to why - toll charges were expected.

Pros: Great car and friendly agents. The car rental price was unbeatable for such a nice clean car.

Cons: No system for car return. Had to wait behind people picking up and there were only 3 agents working during very busy period. The agents were still friendly in spite of being overworked however. Also did not like the insurance cost offer from Record-go. It is same for 7 days as for 1 day! That is extremely unfair and I would not book insurance with them again.

Pros: They were friendly, spoke excellent English and helpful.

Cons: The pick up office is always far too busy, especially in the mornings. This causes a lot of waiting around and can lead to mistakes on the booking.

Cons: Poor communication around shuttle to pick up. We were looking for a shuttle that said ‘Discover Cars’ and it wasn’t made clear that we should have been looking for RecordGo shuttle. Also, we returned the car two days early as our plans had changed and they didn’t entertain any possibility of any discount or allowance for it. Cons: As usual, an attempt at high pressure up-sell of unnecessary additional insurance. We had already purchased additional insurance through Discover cars. The car was completely wet when we picked it up. And it was inside a dark building with glaring lights. It was impossible to see all the MANY scratches and scrapes on the black car. But the rental agent assured us that was normal, and they weren't concerned about that. When we returned the car they billed us for a scratch on the bumper.

Pros: They were very honest and didn’t try to force extras upsells on me. It was also a very quick and friendly service.

Cons: When I arrived at the airport, The directions provided to navigate the airport to the Vodaphone boutique were not accurate. I arrived a few minutes after my pickup time and there was no Record-go representative. I had to call record go and they sent someone right away to pick me up.
