I got insurance premium insurance when booking in uk but was informed that that would cover everything so was charged additional for super insurance.

Cons: I was supposed to rent a Nissan Qashqai, which is classified as an intermediate SUV, but I was given a small compact SUV from Renault instead. When I complained, Guerin claimed that both vehicles are classified as compact cars. However, on Discovers.com, they are listed at different price levels, with clear distinctions between compact and intermediate categories. Despite this, the Guerin rental counter insisted on renting me the compact car.

Also, when importing from my iPhone photo's directory, the photo often transferred into the Guerin app as a black square and only worked reliably when taken right from the Guerin app itself. This delayed the inspection and caused the app to time-out :(

I have rented well over 200 cars over the past 20 years and this is by far the worst customer experience I have ever had. Because of this, I would not recommend anyone to use your service and this is unacceptable, all the other car hire companies were not as busy and I would prefer to pay more and get the car faster.

Cons: It took 2.5 hours from reaching the rental desk to leaving the airport. I am furious, just absolutely enraged. An unbelievably long time that is completely unacceptable. Initial wait time was over 1.5 hours, then it also took ages to obtain the car from the pick-up point. The first day of our holiday was almost ruined. Yet staff told us this level of busyness was 'normal'. How can that be? I have never, ever waited anything like as long for car hire before (max about 0.5 hours).
