Pros: Easy to communicate with, did not create damages to charge me for which is very typical for rental cars in Port Portugal. Reasonably priced, did not try to upsale me. Very friendly people and called me back anytime I had a question.

Cons: Picking up and dropping the car off was a bit confusing, but definitely manageable.

Pros: The service was very good,professional and quick.The use of modern communication made the experience seamless.

Cons: Vehicle provided was not as advertised, but alternate was satisfactory.The van provided could not fit in some parking spaces. Unfortunately we were unable to connect with the Golf Auto representative at the drop off at the Lisbon Airport to thank him for his assistance throughout the whole rental process.

Cons: The fuel policy is a joke, they give you it near empty and your suppose to figure out how much to put back in, we were at level when returning, then it clicked one lower when we got to terminal and they billed me £24, not cool

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1800.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax, Toll pass / E-toll device.
Rate excludes
The following mandatory surcharge(s) will be applied: Toll pass / E-toll device.
An E-Toll is offered in order to avoid violation fees.

Many highways in Portugal are tolled using only electronic means.
All rental vehicles are equipped with a transponder that can be used for paying for all toll roads.
You’ll be charged a service fee of 1.85 EUR per day up to a maximum of 18.50 EUR per rental in addition to the tolls, which will be charged to your credit card after the rental period.
You may also be required to leave an additional deposit for tolls.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 23 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Licences issued in Mexico are not accepted.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Cross border fee.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Portugal.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period is without limitations.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 1 hour after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
