EPI Rent a Car at Lisbon Airport

Pros: Great drop off process. Friendly representative.

Pros: Helpful staff. Even provided some travel directions and provided a Google pin for exact return location.

Cons: With the company not having an office, it took a few minutes to locate the agent. Also I needed to have a cellphone available so that work needed to be completed on my end first.

Pros: Prompt, courteous professional staff.

Pros: Very accomodating, business integrity, which isn't always the case in overseas car rental. Completely satisfied.

Cons: Initial confusion that there was not a rental desk in airport, but agent was whete he said he would be with a sign.

Pros: Roberto and Rui were impeccable with getting the right car for liking, they went out of the way to change the car after we left and Rui was very helpful to accommodate us when we returned it. We rented from EPI for the second time and highly recommend this rental company.

Pros: Had a great experience with EPI. Pedro explained everything about the rental agreement in perfect English. Great communication. Car was in good shape and we received the exact make and model that was advertised. No surprises and no hidden charges. Dropping off the car with Roberto (after 23 days) was also a pleasant and efficient experience.

Pros: Like meeting a rep to go over the car. It's always amazing to me how different cars are from each other, helps to have someone go through how to reverse (manual car), how to get Android Auto, how to turn on lights, what is automatic and what not

Cons: The only thing I didn't like about the experience was the fact that the car had no backup camera. That's a huge issue in the small streets of Portugal! Kept me from being brave about going down streets several times, I was worried I'd have to back up

Pros: The representative - Pedro. He was very thorough and took his time to explain everything.

Cons: Nothing. I was a bit paranoid about meeting times and fear of missing the representative and trying to make calls to let them know that we may be late but, in the end, it all worked out and on time.

Pros: The fact they meet and greet with the car at the airport, and quick process of both pick up and drop off. No hours long wait at a rental counter, pushing add ons. They don't try to extract extra money from minor scratches on hub caps or bumpers. I don't need to video the entire inspection process:) EPI is awesome!

Cons: Nothing. EPI is the best rental car company serving Lisbon Airport, in my experience. This was my 3rd time renting with them. Have used 7 other companies, no one can come close to touching them.

Pros: The friendliness and efficiency of the agent on pick-up helped make it one of our best car rental experiences ever. The van exceeded our expectations in every way. Fantastic all around.

Cons: Extremely poor communication regarding need to call agent in place to pick up vehicle. Returning vehicle in Lisbon nightmarish. A map delineating dropoff point and again, the need to call agent for that as well. Still waiting to learn how to file insurance claim.

Pros: Despite me being late and unable to find the meeting spot (it was crowded, my first time in Europe, my credit card wasn’t working for some reason, etc), this was still a breeze to rent a car. A representative was there waiting for me, had the car available right away, was very kind and funny putting us at ease, and the car worked great for the trip from Lisbon to Lagos. The return process was just as easy. Highly recommend.

Cons: There was an appointment pretty close after mine, so it did feel a little rushed since I was lost and felt the pressure to get to the representative quickly before he needed to go meet his next appointment. But everyone was very kind, and it was smooth sailing once I found him.

Cons: The only issue is that EPI doesn't have a kiosk or other physical location to find them so you have to arrange to meet with their representative. This was a bit awkward when returning the car because we didn't know exactly when we would be there. However, they were patient and didn't mind that we were later than expected, so it turned out not to be a big problem for us.

Pros: Great people to deal with - they did not try to push extra insurance on us and when we returned the car (after 6 weeks) they took a very casual look at it and did not look in great detail for scratches or dents that we may have put into their vehicle.

Cons: For rentals the car was a high in mileage - 60,000 kms. - so definitely some scratches - but worked good. Also the car had "pitch" marks from parking the car under a tree and having the sap drop on the car.

Pros: The service from all staff was very courteous and they were very good at responding to our questions. The car was in great condition and there were no ‘hidden’ surprises or costs. Very much a pleasant experience.

Pros: Pedro was incredibly kind and patient as we were running late. Pedro also took extra time to go over the car and make sure there were no scratches or marks before and after our rental. Really great communication and cooperation at pick up and drop off which they were super flexible and relaxed about. We will definitely use this great service again for any future trips to Portugal and will recommend to friends and colleagues. Thank you again and take good care.

I thought there was staff always at the airport, but we had to wait about 20min for them to arrive after we did to return the car. Not a very long wait, but it would have been nice to just be able to drop off early without a schedule

Pros: The service by EPI Rent a Car was fantastic! The agency met us at the airport and took us to the car, explained the paperwork, was available when we got a flat tire, and was efficient about meeting us at the airport when we returned the car.

Pros: Roberto was super professional and accommodating. Our flight was delayed 4 hours and we didn’t arrive to collect the car until 1am. This was no problem for Roberto who was so friendly who took time to explain toll roads and other useful information about driving in Portugal. Communication with Roberto and his team was easy and quick from start to finish. The rates with this company also beat everything else.

Cons: Don’t see the need for paper forms given all the information is online. The agent has to transcribe everything from the online form to paper- seems a bit old school. Would make them much more efficient.

They didn't try to sell us any add ons at the time of collection which was very much appreciated. They made the whole process simple and I really liked the fact that we didn't have to wait in queues to collect the car or to have to get on a bus to do so. They wore face masks throughought the process and the car had obviously been thoroughly cleaned. In all an exemplary service.
