Cons: They have an agreement withThe Star Inn hotel. So if you arrive a little late, the agent has to go since there is no office.

Pros: I was given an option between 2 cars in the class I wanted. Usually I get stuck with gigantic vehicles when I try to rent the smallest option available, so this made me happy. It was also nearly brand new and a hybrid at that! Got spectacular fuel economy.

Cons: We were surprised to find out it's not really a rental car desk, they show up at appointed times only. They weren't there at the designated time. They had called my American number while I had a traveler's Portugal SIM. But I finally called and they came quickly afterwards.

Pros: Price of the rental was reasonable.

Cons: Wrong vehicle, filthy inside, filthy Childs seat, quarter tank of gas. The van was so big we couldn't park it indoors so it was broken into and I had to pay for new window. Cost me more money in tolls and Gas. We planned all our parking beforehand and it all was wasted because this van was too big. we had to uber to towns because this van was too big. It was a joke!

Pros: Collection location within walking distance from the hotel and then greeted by the agent in the hotel lobby.

Cons: Some confusion to toll fee's being fixed and there security deposit being a higher rate compared to other companies.

Pros: For rental return had to leave car in garage and leave keys at desk. Rather unsettling knowing I had a huge damage deposit on my credit card.

Cons: Not easy to get to, had to take a cab to hotel to pick up car.For return, add 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. Airport is crazy packed every morning. If you rent on sight same problem... 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.

Cons: Only thing that would have made the car pick up experience better would have been a map for how to find the location (it’s a 5 minute walk from the terminal exit, but because it’s outside the airport building it took us some time and asking around to find it).

Cons: Received a cabriolet which was nice for some drives but not nice when luggage was loaded. Expected a Panda or similar. A Fiat 500 is not similar in my opinion.

Cons: Different car provided to what I have booked. Booked a 5 door car but was giver 3 door car which is lower class. Also they charge 2€ per day for tolls even though I did not plan to use toll roads. Other companies only charge for days that you actually use

Cons: Noone from Opcao was in the hotel when we collected the car (we had to wait almost an hour) and when returning the car, same thing - no one there and we just had to leave the car keys in the hotel praying that they would find no damage where someone from Opcao would finally collect it. Will never use them again, we almost mist our flight.

Cons: They refused to deduct the pre-payment made to the rental platform (Discovery car), saying that was "the fee of the platform", while the voucher clearly said "pre-payment. They charged VAT while the announced total price by the platform was supposed to include VAT. Finally, their system of blocking 2500€ (!!) for the full insurance is prohibitive and unclear, I ended up paying almost twice in practice.

Cons: the fact that pick up was inconvenient since you need to take a shuttle from the airport to get to the pickup location, however they accommodate our needs and brought the car to the airport for us.

Pros: Plinio Barai went far and beyond to make up for what happened to us when we picked up our van. He was professional knowledgeable, and very polite because of him I would recommend your car rental company

Cons: When we picked up our vehicle after a long flight from Canada, we were kept four hours waiting for our van with no explanation. We were given no paperwork and nothing was explained to us about the van. It was also very hard to find where the location was outside the airport. Again, if it wasn’t for Plinio Barai I would not recommend this rental company!

Pros: The initial price seemed attractive but didn't turn out to be a good value. Our rep David was nice.

Cons: Check in was a nightmare. I was able to book the car and prepay insurance using my AMEX in advance, but it wasn't accepted to complete the transaction and I was forced to purchase a different insurance through him at the Kiosk. When I tried to call I had a hard time reaching anyone but left a voice message to cancel my insurance and refund me the amount prepaid ($102.02) in Aptil. No one ever got back to me and I was not credited. The car was also malfunctioning - service lights came on numerous

Pros: The car model was nice and was in good condition

Cons: The pick up was a shambles. Paid for a after hours pick up and was left waiting for over half an hour after the stated 10pm pick up. No one at drop off, key just left at a hotel reception. Then received a drop off form with a charge of 80euros for car washing and 392euros for a scratch on a door. Luckily I took pictures of the car before giving keys back. I dropped off at 4pm, well within office hours. Return form states return was at 3pm. Clearly no one was around between at least 3 and 4pm.

Pros: They didn't have the reservation from the discovercars, but they were able to help us. By providing another car (upgraded one)

Pros: Agent was thorough and informative. All required documents where completed promptly and copies received via email.Vehicle was clean and in very good condition.

Cons: Did not like the same as gas policy. Vehicle was deliverd with less than 1/4 tank of fuel requiring immediate fill up. Make sure to have Full Insurance coverage as every little stone chip or minor scratch is documented. Agent was not present when vehicle was returned, unable to confirm drop off condition.

Cons: The biggest hurdle for us: no spare tires with the car. They do give a self-healing spray but when you’re on smaller roads (away from toll), there are challenges in Portugal that can often result in flat tires. Even if you opt for their insurance, towing/emergency help can take hours, ESPECIALLY during the 1-3pm lunch breaks and weekends! Opcao charges a “via verde” of €20 on top of toll. We rather opt to pay toll ourselves. there are other companies who give you an option.

Cons: We waited a while to get the car. However, communication regarding the delay and the situation was exceptional, so overall I have not complaints as I was not on a tight schedule.

Pros: For an off-airport rental option this was really convenient and easy to get to from the airport. More than that though, the customer service was outstanding at both pickup and drop off.

He was very approachable and professional when it came to the process of picking up the car and explaining things that we asked, such as refuelling. The deposit was quickly returned the day we gave the car back, and Charles was always reachable by WhatsApp should we have needed it.

Pros: It was a new car and the it was delivered clean. The agent spoke English fluently and he was welcoming. He was punctual. At arrival, he informed us about the terms and conditions and he also thoroughly check the car for damages together with us. Overall, we had a great experience.

Cons: I would suggest to write some more details information on how to meet the rental representative. It is very convenient to pick up the car at the hotel but it could be clearer that we need to meet inside the hotel's lobby and wait for the agent.

Cons: There where 2 underground parkings under the Hotel Star Inn. It was not clear in which floor should I leve the car. At first I left it in the -2 floor, which turned out to be belonging to the another hotel. Therefore, I have to remove it and park at the another parking. More instructions on how to leave the car and where is the right entrance to the underground parking would be great.
