Alamo at Lisbon Airport

Pros: Staff were fabulous and extremely helpful!!

Cons: The car itself was fine and the pickup process was generally smooth, but the electronic check-in system was very frustrating. It kept freezing and took much longer than expected to complete. After a long trip, dealing with technical issues at pickup is not ideal. Improving the reliability of the online check-in would greatly improve the customer experience

Cons: Nobody informed me that instead Alamo it was guerin the rental car provider… I deduced this from an email received on the day of check-in from Guerin asking for information on the rental... even if the booking number was different... I also believe that if a customer chooses a rental company, his choice must be guaranteed... on your website it is not specified that Alano and Guerin collaborate because in the proposals they appear separately

Please ensure all agents are polite, patient, take time to effectively answer questions and ise a friendly helpful tone.

Cons: They charged us the full price and did not rent any car, closed the office in spite of the fact we we're agreed the'are going wait one hour due to the delay, they closed!!! So therefore we missed the connecting flight!!!!!

Cons: The car itself had quite a few scratches and the website was not working so I had to take photos on the collection day which slowed down collection and leaving the airport.

Cons: The billing appears to be shady, somehow a $200 rental for a week, before including some fees (tolls, etc) suddenly gets charged at $1100.

Pros: Everything - easy pick up, easy drop off, and no hard-sell to buy insurance I don't need. Most important, they were quick to respond when we had a flat tire and needed a tow and a replacement car. They sorted everything out within an hour or so.

Cons: I thought I had filled all the information online, but needed to do it again at the service desk. We also ordered a child seat which was placed in a plastic bag next to the car. Installing it at midnight with sleepy/screaming kids wasn't fun at all.

Cons: I originally ordered a BMW 4 Series, Discover contacted me to say that it wasn't available and offered an Audi A4, on arrival I was given a Lexus, which was not in great condition or fully clean. I'm used to car companies giving the car I ordered, but I guess Discover and Alamo are budget, which means also misleading.

Cons: I had to wait for a half-hour in the queue to get the paperwork which is terrible when you have two kids and need to wear a mask due to the pandemic.
