Pros: The car was better than expected. A Citroen c3 which was spunky and comfortable. They picked us up from the airport quickly, and after we returned (1 month and 4000 km later) they processed the return and got us to the airport super fast. They were courteous and spoke good English.

Pros: The agents at the Portela office were excellent. They were friendly, professional and very competent. I incurred some damage to my rental car that required exchanging the car for another. This was taken care of quickly and very professionally so that I could resume my trip.

They left me waiting for the pick up van for 1hr(their shop is 7min away)not convenient for international traveller's Who don’t know the country. They also leave out a lot of information when you rent with them, they lure you in with their cheap prices then come back and scam you for extra money. They stole $200EUR

Cons: Eric, the guy that booked me and went through the booking process is a really good dude, this guy will later pull a magic move to help me get to the airport 15minutes before the flight. Dude, without knowledge and ghidance, mu family would have missed the flight. My soon was unwell, and we were able to to take him to the hospital as we landed, as it was very difficult to get help for him there at that time. Thanks to you and the guy that received the car and manged to call you over the phone.

Pros: BeRent was good, but DiscoverCars got my booking wrong. I had selected specific pick up and drop off times, but they changed them when sending to BeRent, which ended up costing me a full extra day rental cost at BeRent’s full rate, which is DOUBLE what I was paying through DiscoverCars.com. My fault for not catching it on the contract before completing it, but you should be able to trust that information is flowing properly. Rental ended up costing me significantly more because of this flaw.

Cons: Friendly attended and place is clean and well taken care of. Good quality cars. No hard pressure and manipulation on selling extras by staffs, which is unusual for Portugal. Most places will try to scare you into their extras, but not here. They’re my go to whenever flying into Lisbon.

Pros: Service was average at best. To be fair, the shuttle bus driver was amazing after we returned the car - he drove us to our airport hotel when he was only supposed to drive us to the air terminal.

Cons: Not so much the service but the car we were given. Mechanically it was fine for our 3 week trip but it constantly flashed it needed an oil change the full 3 weeks, it only had a quarter of a tank of gas when we picked it up and the back licence plate kept falling off. We returned the car with 3/4 of a tank, complained about the license plate yet no compensation was offerred - just some lame suggestion we email head office and complain. Brutal.

Pros: Easy to use, no hidden charges, although they are now charging €10 for cleaning the car unless you bring it back as it was when picked up. But still happy with using BeRent.

Cons: They reason I keep using BeRent is they have not added extra charges when collecting the vehicle, now they have a €10 charge for washing the vehicles when returned unless it's cleaned before returning.

Pros: I have booked twice with BeRent this year and and both times they have been excellent. Their online pre-check in saves plenty of time and speeds up the process. The cars have been in excellent condition and their instructions are clear.

Cons: Have a representative waiting inside to point first time customers to the pick up area and ring the depot for the customer. Not everyone arrives with the means to make a call. If not one can flag down the van that is outside of course.

Pros: Car was the one I reserved, once we got to the agency, the rep was helpful. Once we found the place again at the end of the trip, it was a quick process to return the vehicle. Free shuttle to and from the Lisbon Airport.

Cons: I booked online and was charged for both the rental ($250) and the comprehensive insurance plan ($85), then when I picked up the vehicle, they said those were charges from the intermediary web booking company and not Be Rent, so we paid way more and again for insurance because we were told we had to or we would have no car. We had a hard time finding the rep after arriving & once we found him, he was not very helpful or friendly. Finding the place to return was difficult- no address was given.

Distracted me during the car rental so I wouldn't see or photograph a hairline scratch on the car and then "found" it when I returned the car and charged me 200 euros to fix it, which they won't. The car was already scratched up an damaged, which they clearly had not fixed before. There was so much damage to the car that I missed one scratch that was hard to see in the shadowy place and that's how they got their extra 200 euros. They will definitely do this to other customers.

Rep in office still tried to sell me car insurance even though I had purchased it through discover car.com. Was never given the return address of the office, had to research on Google to find it.

When we give back the car, it is hard to give it back with the exact same amount, so we end up putting more gas. Windshield washer fluids almost empty, I had to fill it up. We had an additional charge that we weren't expecting (for driver over 55) but that might be because of going through a 3rd party for our booking. Cons: BeRent is EXTREMELY slow. It took us four hours to pick-up our car and 45 minutes to return it. These kinds of wait times are completely unacceptable. There is no reason this process should take so long. BeRent also gave us the car with only a quarter tank of fuel and charged us for not bringing it back with the exact same amount. They tried to charge us for a dent that was already there when we picked up the car as well, but we had photos before pick-up.

I went on that address to my dismay thats a ring address they had not print update of address on the return contract.I almost lost my flight due to the negligence or misslead of the company to atract costumers to aeroport site. Furthermore all returned car address has not been update on Google

There, you can expect at least an hour wait to receive a vehicle. It’s a very poor check in process. As far as the company, I’m pretty sure they are conducting insurance fraud by proxy, using the customer as their agent. They charged me over $500 “for tire and rim damage” and forced me to file claim with you.

They tell you that the insurance you purchased with Discover is not recognized by them and will have to buy new insurance from them. So the car ended up being double the price of what was originally quoted. Will never rent from both companies.

Pros: I was first given a not-so-good car by BeRent, which was making some noise when braking, which over the course of the rental got worse. When I told BeRent about it they immediately suggested a changeover. Good call BeRent! Not only was the changeover car a lot better, but the whole process was completed very quickly and we were on our way again! The staff were friendly and helpful overall. On our first pickup day they had got a new system and understandably everything was very slow.

I was told by BeRent that the money would be in my account in 3-4 days. So basically, wrong expectations were set. How hard it is to “under-promise and over-deliver”!

Pros: The car was great and economical and we had unlimited milage. Premises of BeRent very comfortable and clean and modern. Staff very efficient.

Cons: It took 2 hours to get our car, from the time the agent met us at the airport until we drove out of BeRent. Extras are annoying, eg. when collecting the car you can pay an extra 29 Euros to have the car cleaned when you return it OR return it in the condition you receive it OR if the car is dirty when returning you are charged 80 Euros for them to clean it.

Cons: it took one hour for the pick up process and I had to go through two agents asking me the same info, then they started nickle and dime me with extra charges. Senior citizen charge ( we are not 65 years old), since the booking was under my wife credit card she was charged for extra driving (she was not driving) we used her credit car ALWAYS to make reservations because we get points on that card.

Pros: BeRent was very good. They had the exact car that we reserved, which was important since we are a family of five with luggage. The staff was friendly, and the facility was spotless. It’s also very close to a gas station, so you can fill up the car when you get it. They don’t require to the car to be filled up when you return it, so it might not have much gas when you get it. Some of the staff speak English, but I would print a copy of your rental agreement to be able to hand them.

Cons: The checkout process was a little slow. They only had one person checking in cars, and the people checking cars out couldn’t help with returns. That was frustrating, since there wasn’t anyone picking up a car at that time. We waited at least 30 minutes to start our return process. ** I would allow at least one hour for the car rental return, wait time for the shuttle, and drive to the airport.

Cons: Very slow, hard to find car rental agent at the airport, only one shuttle and a lot of people waiting to be transported so it took way longer than if should to get to their depot. Not enough staff at depot so a long time waiting to be served and then the process took way longer than it should have. This is all compared to using car rental companies for years.

Pros: Efficient, friendly and honest service. No pressure to buy insurance or extras. Honored everything promised with no unexpected charges. The agent was very patient as I worked out a problem with my card issuer during check in. My delay meant the car I had reserved was gone, but they provided an upgrade to replace it. Check out was quick and straight forward. Car had a few dings, but was clean and in excellent running condition.

Cons: Only thing I would have liked was some information on the special features of the car we rented. Most models are unique to Europe so I wasn't familiar with the car. Maybe supply a fact sheet since no manual was in the car. Cons: Incredibly slow and inefficient process. Only 1 van taking people from the airport to the rental facility. Took ~40 minutes from the time we arrived at the Vodafone store to meet with the rep, to actually arrive in the rental counter. Once at the counter, they had 3-4 agents working the rentals, and that process was almost another 1.5hrs of waiting... Overall it took just above 2hrs from meeting the first agent at the terminal, to driving out of the facility with our rental.

Cons: We were looking for the BeRent transfer, but it wasn’t there. We had to make a call and 10 minutes later the transfer arrived.

Cons: Instructions for finding the representative at the Lisbon airport were unclear. We luckily found a person with a clipboard who could take us to the spot to pick up the shuttle. The 2+ hour wait to pick up the vehicle, after traveling for 12 hours, was awful and unnecessary. The agents were not only slow, but we needed to upload documentation multiple times. And, worse yet, was drop-off when we realized that they never applied insurance to our rental agreement.
