BeRent at Lisbon Airport

Pros: I had a bad experience with the chosen car rental #Be Rent company did not show up at the pick up point to pick me up.

Cons: After 3 hours after my call 📞 they texted me on WhatsApp: one of our staff is on his way. By then I had already booked another car with another company.

Pros: everything was what we expected, no hard selling in the insurance unlike other rentals.

Cons: Nothing, we will rent with Berent again for sure

Pros: The cleanliness of the WC at the office and interior cleanliness of the rental vehicle. Exterior of vehicle had quite a few scratches and dents.

Cons: The greeter in airport facility was hard to find as he was with just sitting on bench and not holding up a sign indicating the company. Walk right by him! Rep in office still tried to sell me car insurance even though I had purchased it through discover car.com. Was never given the return address of the office, had to research on Google to find it.

Pros: An unexpected great experience and totally not what I expected after reading bad experiences about Portuguese rental car companies

Cons: The service was great. Justb a few annoying points: I just don't understand why the rental company (like others) don't give you a car will a full tank. When we give back the car, it is hard to give it back with the exact same amount, so we end up putting more gas. Windshield washer fluids almost empty, I had to fill it up. Squeaky breaks, but nothing dangerous.

Cons: They did not tell us anything about gas and we ended up paying $1200 euros extra for using the wrong one in a tank they gave us that was 1/4 full.

Pros: Excellent new car in great condition; reasonably fast pick service and very efficient drop off service as good as I have ever experienced.

Cons: It doesn’t have a kiosk at the Lisbon airport so depending when you arrive it may be inconvenient to wait for pick and can be a little difficult to find pick up area if an attendant isn’t around with a placard.

Pros: Easy pick up at lisbon airport. Friendly staff, although they could have used more staff to help as the wait line was long and slow. Very easy return, and they phoned us a taxi.

We had an additional charge that we weren't expecting (for driver over 55) but that might be because of going through a 3rd party for our booking. I don't understand why we went to a check in desk first then to wait to speak to the agent.

Picking up the car was another unpleasant experience. Nobody explained the procedure about checking in first, so I waited about 1.5 hours to have the car.

Cons: BeRent is EXTREMELY slow. It took us four hours to pick-up our car and 45 minutes to return it. These kinds of wait times are completely unacceptable. There is no reason this process should take so long. BeRent also gave us the car with only a quarter tank of fuel and charged us for not bringing it back with the exact same amount. They tried to charge us for a dent that was already there when we picked up the car as well, but we had photos before pick-up.

I went on that address to my dismay thats a ring address they had not print update of address on the return contract.I almost lost my flight due to the negligence or misslead of the company to atract costumers to aeroport site. Furthermore all returned car address has not been update on Google

There, you can expect at least an hour wait to receive a vehicle. It’s a very poor check in process. As far as the company, I’m pretty sure they are conducting insurance fraud by proxy, using the customer as their agent. They charged me over $500 “for tire and rim damage” and forced me to file claim with you.

Pros: I was first given a not-so-good car by BeRent, which was making some noise when braking, which over the course of the rental got worse. When I told BeRent about it they immediately suggested a changeover. Good call BeRent! Not only was the changeover car a lot better, but the whole process was completed very quickly and we were on our way again! The staff were friendly and helpful overall. On our first pickup day they had got a new system and understandably everything was very slow.

Cons: Good that I’ve got the refund in my account today. Thanks for that. Not good that I had to follow up three times before I got a response from Discover Cars. I was told by BeRent that the money would be in my account in 3-4 days. So basically, wrong expectations were set. How hard it is to “under-promise and over-deliver”!

Pros: The car was great and economical and we had unlimited milage. Premises of BeRent very comfortable and clean and modern. Staff very efficient.

Cons: It took 2 hours to get our car, from the time the agent met us at the airport until we drove out of BeRent. Extras are annoying, eg. when collecting the car you can pay an extra 29 Euros to have the car cleaned when you return it OR return it in the condition you receive it OR if the car is dirty when returning you are charged 80 Euros for them to clean it.

Senior citizen charge ( we are not 65 years old), since the booking was under my wife credit card she was charged for extra driving (she was not driving) we used her credit car ALWAYS to make reservations because we get points on that card.

Pros: BeRent was very good. They had the exact car that we reserved, which was important since we are a family of five with luggage. The staff was friendly, and the facility was spotless. It’s also very close to a gas station, so you can fill up the car when you get it. They don’t require to the car to be filled up when you return it, so it might not have much gas when you get it. Some of the staff speak English, but I would print a copy of your rental agreement to be able to hand them.

Cons: The checkout process was a little slow. They only had one person checking in cars, and the people checking cars out couldn’t help with returns. That was frustrating, since there wasn’t anyone picking up a car at that time. The agent was very patient as I worked out a problem with my card issuer during check in. My delay meant the car I had reserved was gone, but they provided an upgrade to replace it. Took ~40 minutes from the time we arrived at the Vodafone store to meet with the rep, to actually arrive in the rental counter. Once at the counter, they had 3-4 agents working the rentals, and that process was almost another 1.5hrs of waiting... Overall it took just above 2hrs from meeting the first agent at the terminal, to driving out of the facility with our rental.

The 2+ hour wait to pick up the vehicle, after traveling for 12 hours, was awful and unnecessary. The agents were not only slow, but we needed to upload documentation multiple times. And, worse yet, was drop-off when we realized that they never applied insurance to our rental agreement.

Cons: The only issue I had was how long it took to get the car. We arrived at Be Rent and there were only two guys working and the process didn't go quickly. Probably took an hour to get the car. Overall, however, it was a positive experience. Would definitely recommend.

We wait for an hour without any shuttle and we found that another BeRent customer waited for more than 2 hours for the shuttle. Even we called the 24-hour hotline but no one answered. Luckily, one of the representative of other car rental company helped us to call the shuttle driver and the shuttle finally arrived after 10 mins. What a “GREAT” experience

Pros: BeRent provides a shuttle service from the airport to their rental office since they don’t have one at the airport. The selection of vehicles is extensive, and the garage is very clean and welcoming.

Cons: Although the shuttle service is provided, what wasn’t very clear as how to contact them to pick you up. We were only provided a vague area where to get picked up. They don’t have kiosk at the airport and it took us a longer than usual time before we figured out how to arrange for pick up. We were supposed to call to get a pick up but upon arrival we had not arrange for cell service yet. And when we did manage to call, it was an automated message in Portuguese.

Pros: Was one of very few rental agencies to offer vehicles that can seat 6 people. Provided a shuttle to the airport which was helpful upon dropoff.

Cons: The vehicle had a flat tire at pickup. The company filled it, but it continued to go flat throughout our trip. However, we were far from their office, so we continued filling it up and documenting it. The car also had a critical electrical failure warning light which voided the cruise control from functioning. Both of these were frustrating nuances during our rental period.

Pros: Nothing. My plane got delayed by 50 minutes after their closing time and they went home leaving me with no car having to spent €85 in uber fares and having no car on my 4 day stay. Tried to pick up car following day and booking automatically got cancelled and I could not book directly.

Pros: What initially caught my attention was the unbeatable price of the rental. I was able to get a great deal on a reliable and well-maintained car that met all of my needs for my trip. The car itself was spotlessly clean, inside and out, which made me feel very comfortable and safe driving it.
