Pros: Reception and drop-off of the car at P2.
Cons: The car had lots of damage and scratches which could result in a discussion at drop-off (which it didn't).

Cons: Having to meet someone in the corner of the airport to do the paperwork and then follow him dragging our luggage out to the parking lot to find the car, then very little communication about the vehicle once he had our credit card!
Pros: Carwiz had the easiest pick up and drop off I have ever experienced. Usually it feels like I need to protect myself from getting screwed with some minor flaw in the car but with Carwiz it felt like I was trusted and respected. Great experience.

Pros: Collection and return were at the Airport. There was no need to take a shuttle bus to some other location, however this fact was not clear in the information I had been given by Discover Cars and Carwiz. Your Voucher and that of Carwiz mention a "Free Shuttle". It was a good surprise to us that the airport representative said that the car is in the Airport Parking Lot.
Cons: The airport representative said that the car was "brand new". Upon collecting the car we found over 18,000km on the odometer. The car windshield and rear window were not clean, there were even cobwebs on the rear window. The car was only 1/4 full of petrol. There was no option to get the ViaVerde autotoll device. They said all their cars are not equipped with this. Your voucher said that all Carwiz vehicles are equipped with a transponder and this was not true and caused us some anxiety.

Cons: Car Wiz was not a big car rental company experience with the Big rental desk and multiple agents type of operation… Personally I prefer that… But, some people may have a different opinion.

Cons: There was no shuttle. The numbers listed for the agency were out of service. We spent over an hour waiting for a shuttle and finally took a 20 euro cab ride to find the basically unmarked agency. The car we were provided was not what I paid for. We recieved the most basic model when I paid for a mid size.
Cons: Filthy dirty, no windshield washer fluid, drove less than 100 kilometres and had to put Blue DEF in. 2 front tires were so bad they were worn to t6he cords, spent all morning getting repairs, i paid extra for early pickup of vehicle and they were an hour late\, causing us to miss a prepaid, non refundable boat trip.
Cons: Difficulty in picking up and dropping off. Car was old. On drop off we complained about many service alerts flashing on console display. They told us we were last customers and car was being sold. We bought insurance online for around $200. On pick up it was raised to over $300
Pros: Lisbon pick up was easy and efficient
Cons: Terrible drop off experience and poor attitude. Drop off office that was hard to find and then nobody there, when I explicitly arrange for someone to be there. This caused extreme anxiety/stress and we nearly missed our flights for this lack of attention. it also cost us money in taxis. I will be complaining and asking for a refund for part of the costs.
Cons: The worst service on planet earth. We were late because of our flight and they cancelled our reservation without communicating with us. Then they charged us cancellation fees. Total scam.

Cons: Our flight was delight . We did call them 18: 40 ( discovery papers wrote open till 19:00 ) . The said where our closed after 18:30 we did have to pay 35 euro extra to them. we didn't get the FIAT TIPO we did get the Citroen Elsyee. the car had many mechanical problems. Constant technical failures, we even had to pump up the tires on day 2. When you turned on the air conditioning, the car almost didn't move. It felt like a flintstone car. Driving up the mountain meant turning off air con.

Pros: As there is not a designated desk, I appreciated that when I called the representative picked up immediately and then promptly met us at the designated meet-up location. In total, picking up the car probably took 15-20 minutes.
Cons: Due to the craziness of airports right now with shortages and delays caused by Covid, I wanted to drop the car off four hours in advance of my flight to ensure that I’d have time to make it through everything. There was a 35€ fee to drop the car off prior to 9:00 a.m. so we got as close as we could to that 9:00 a.m. point and then called for the representative to come meet the car as there was no designated lot for Discover Cars. At the time, it was more than a little confusing and frustrating.
Cons: The rental car company rep refused to change the return car time even though I paid for the entire day extra already (11 am was the cut off the extra day and I said originally that I will bring back 6 pm.) It's a complete rip off. Also the rental car company didn't show up at the airport and yelled at me when I called them and asked why they didn't show up at 11 am. They also threatened to not give me the car!

Pros: Carwiz sub contracted to another hire company which delivered the car to the airport, and could also be dropped off at the airport rather than have to take a shuttle bus. Very convenient.
Cons: The car was three years old and had 101.000 km on the clock, however ti was diesel automatic which was booked. Though the car was old, it worked like clockwork.

Pros: Agents are nice people, but they must know the condition of the car. This time they knew to start the car up before I picked it up. Therefore the battery perhaps stayed alive until I drove the car out.
Cons: Car’s battery was dead by the next stop (3 hours away). Took half a day of my time to haul it to the repair and get changed. Full level indicator on board computer is false. I rented car 3/4 full. Even if I filled it up (because the meter doesn’t show right level), it still shows 3/4 full. All these faults are for customers disadvantage. Stay away from Carwiz/Specific Rent-aCar.
Pros: Absolute worst company I've ever rented from. The vans brakes were completely shot and they refused to change the vehicle. Breaks shook the car and squealed so bad the entire week. Can was also completely filthy, they didn't clean it prior to rental, my husband actually had to take their vacuum to clean it before we took it, it was so dirty. The biggest issue was the safety with the brakes that shook the whole van when we tried to stop.

A young driver fee of 50.00 EUR per rental applies to drivers under the age of 26.
Maximum rental age is 78 years.
A senior driver fee of 10.00 EUR per day, with a maximum of 50.00 EUR per rental applies to drivers above the age of 74.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the Geneva / Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (e.g., China), an official translation of the license in the following language(s): English, together with the original license, must be presented.
The driver license must be written in Latin alphabet.
Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Diners, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
The following payment methods are accepted: Cash, Prepaid cards, Visa Debit Card, MasterCard debit card, American Express Debit card.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: France, Spain-Mainland.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.
Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
It is allowed to add up to 4 additional drivers.
Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
