Also the tyres were in low pressure.I had to spend and wait for them to take the car from its parking space for not to scratch more the side mirror than it was and to put air pressure on tyres! Not professional at all!Also when the gentleman insisted so much for me too pay their extra insurance which i have refused!They didnt give me a car in good condition!

Pros: They haven't refund the 100€ deposit yet after 10 days. That haven't neither refund the 49.05€ deposit for fuel despite the fact take I have drop off the car with 50% amount of fuel even though I took the car with 45% amount of fuel, so I actually refuelled it more than needed, and I only received 28.77€ of refund. Why?? They do not answer to phone. They do not send email upon filling in requests on their website. Service completely absent. Company not suggested at all. Very bad experience.

Pros: The agents were very fast and thankfully there was barely any queue when I picked up the car. There was a mini bus every 15 min at the airport and the location is right next to a nice area of Lisbon so I went to have dinner around parque das nações!

Cons: I don’t recommend taking out the electric car, I had to wait multiple times to charge it and sometimes plan way too much to ensure I always had enough KM. I think the Renault only serves 400 KM but because I drive a lot of motor way that is just unreliable and unrealistically low. It’s better to pay the extra for a diesel and be at peace

Cons: The agent was a complete jerk when I did not accept the insurance he was pushing. He had the nerve to tell me that no insurance of mine would ever cover any damage as if he even knows the kind of coverage I have. I wrote the policy!! To top it all off they gave me a totalled car with huge damage on the back end and the has was 45% full. I waited 3 hours total to pick up the car!!! My small children were crying so much from being so tired and so hungry. What a nightmare company! Never again!!

Pros: Believe or not the only think that I liked is the Brazilian drive. He is very happy and the face smile all the time.

I had to request they document 4 roof and 2 door scratches before I accepted the car they told me was in excellent condition. When I returned the car they said the existings scratches were new and was going to charge me for damage. I had to tell him to look in his system for the photos they took when I reported the damage on pickup. I also had my own photos of the full car before pickup which also helped.

Cons: When I tried to pick up the car, I found that my order had been cancelled for an unknown reason. The Centauro staff were unable to explain the reason. I tried to get an explanation on DiscoverCars.com, but have not received an answer yet.

Cons: I got scolded when I returned my car because it was late. I told the agent I tried to get in contact with me but he was rude. Will not use them again.

Pros: We arrived on an early flight and had no trouble picking up the car. The line at the rental agency was pretty short given the time of arrival. We had to wait a bit for the shuttle to pick us up as we arrived prior to opening hours.

Pros: The agents were unhelpful and created unnecessary problems. I have rented cars in Portugal many times before and no company has ever asked for an International Driving Licence. Even the Portugal Police do not expect you to have one.

Cons: The only thing to complain was that the windshield washing liquid was out after first rinse. That was easily fixed though.

Arrived at 1 to pickup a 2:30pm appointment, and left at 4:02pm. You decide!

When I arrived to Centauro office, I was told that Centauro company fuel policy is always same to same and did not honour the fuel option I purchased from Discover Cars. Cons: I've rented at Centauro for 26 weeks last year.... Near 90% of the time they downsize and downgrade the car. This last time I got what I paid for. The new place is crowded, dingy, dark, and everybody is on top of everyone around you, so, I had to take a,quick video (car had many, many, additional damages on the exterior) When I saw the inside! Gooey, stains, dusty, jelly, food, crumbs, white stains on uphold, oily, DIS GUS TING LY FILTHY.... FILTHY CAR.

Needs to be pairs, I understand. That cost me $200,..€ and the rental agency refused to give me the money back for the tires

Cons: Shuttle service let them down, I waited 40 minutes at the airport while other rental companies passed two or three times, same during return to airport the bus was already full but had to wait about ten minutes before the driver decided to take us

Just impossible to leave because exit is unreachable, unless you got a levitating, turn on a dime, flying car. Car was a C3... I rented a Juke, (much better and larger car) So, was downgraded for FREE ;-(

Cons: The Provider didn't give me the car that I rent for , did give me one inferior and charge me 10 Euros for gas when he can't prove that he have 85% of Gas , even doing the mat as the provider wants don't give 85% of gas will give 87.5%.

Precisam melhorar o atendimento cliente.

Cons: They gave us a majorly dented car, they quoted it as "minor damage" making me think they may try to pin the blame on us later. No other automatic vehicles available to switch out so we took it.

Pros: I saw plenty of negative reviews about Centauro so I was hesitant to rent with them… but I was very surprised on the quality of the service and how it was easy and friendly to rent a car with them. I will rent again with them without hesitation!

Cons: No shuttle other than the airport one so i grabbed an uber The address listed was not up to date, i ended up going at the wrong spot. Then they ask you to take a waiting number, i waited 3 hours outside of my pickup time. I was starving, the staff seemed stressed and anxious. It was horrible.

Cons: They had us wait for close to an hour at the airport for the shuttle service, then wait in line inside a hot garage (no AC, no seats, 30+ other people waiting): 3.5 hrs in total. At drop-off, they charged us 120 euros for a scratch we didn't make, claiming we should have checked the car more carefully at pickup and gone back to the desk (waiting for another 3h in line or jumping ahead of 30+ people) to report any damage not on the contract. The back seat had an unreported cigarette burn.

Pros: The cars are great, they treat small dents on a car as no damage, the staff was very clear on rental conditions.

Cons: The biggest problem is Centauro does not return the car excess taken if the damage to the car is done by someone else (not the driver) and the faulty person is known. They still do not return the 1600 eur deposit, and they try to force purchase of 300 eur all inclusive additional insurance. The centauro has 2 extra charges which are not listed on Discovery cars: 160 eur deposit for fuel and 100 eur deposit for road tolls (which is ok).

Cons: How about 3+ hours wait to get the car? Some people arrive after you, but because they overpaid for their insurance, you (I) will wait fir them to cut in front of you! Keep in mind; Before we go, we all have a pickup time... yet, 3+ hours after that time you get the car! The car's condition review sheet stayes that your car is new (no scratches) well, it was only 2000 miles on the car, but, not only was a Renault (I specifically avoided to rent a Renault) but it had as many scratches as miles.

Pros: The experience is quite terrible. I was left with a car that looked like it had a noose in the engine bay. After taking the car on the road I noticed it and came the day after to explain it and request a switch since that I was concerned about getting in problems on the highway with it. They tested the car and said everything was fine with it for me not to worry. Reality is that I had a car for a couple days doing the weirdest noise and was embarrassing when I picked up my clients at the airport

Cons: The car was washed during the pickup so it took a bit longer but tha's juat a minor inconvenience. The fuel conditions were advertised as full/full, however we got half tank - and half tank on return.

Cons: The service was great. It was hard to find the correct property entrance when returning the car. A large arrow under the sign pointing to the correct entrance would be helpful. If you take the next entrance 10' further you will have to back out into very busy traffic and then find your way back around. Once you know which driveway it is it's ok but for your first time it was confusing in busy traffic.

We waited 45 minutes for a shuttle and the driver was sarcastic and rude telling us to put our luggage in the back of the shuttle ourselves quite rudely. Secondly, we bought full coverage on the insurance through DiscoverCars and the desk agent tried to sell us the insurance through Centauro. He advised if there was a problem that they would charge us and we would have to seek payment from DiscoverCars. 3rd, deposit on gas not refunded

Cons: The person at the desk at the time of collection was pushy in trying to sell me their insurance despite me telling him that I have arranged insurance through Discover cars. Worst was the person who was at the dropoff. He wanted to charge me for a damaged wheel rim which was already there, it was also noted on the form which I showed him, he then apologised but only after me being firm.

Pros: The vehicle was new and clean with a full tank. The airport shuttle driver was friendly and helpful. Not a long wait to pick up the car.

Cons: The airport shuttle pickup location is not readily apparent. The rental agent was friendly and nice, but he tricked me into not getting the highway transponder. At drop off, I then had to pay a €18 fine to Centauro, which I tried to fight them on but they told me it was my fault for not reading the rental agreement in Portuguese. Arguing wasn't worth my time. Also, when I returned the car the agent was very rude and ill-tempered. I'm still waiting for my €100 toll deposit to be returned.

Cons: The fact that when dropping off the car I didn't receive any indications of the timing, procedure or Centauro address. Therefore I drove to the airport and had to come to the office. Hopefuly I had time. When coming to Lisbon I received an e-mail with indication to reach shuttle bus, the same should have been done for dropping off.

Pros: Very pleasant and apologetic for having to wait for 8 hrs after blowing tire. They had to give us another rental car, which was in better condition and an upgrade from the first. We were told that they will send us a cheque for reimbursement for tolls and gas and implied that they will give us some renumeration for the time we spent waiting for help, after blowing the tire. Hopefully, they will follow through with this.

Cons: Initially, the front desk had diffiulty finding our reservation. It seems that if the car is arranged through a broker, they give you one that is not in the best condion. At lease that's what it seemed like, as the car we were given had numerous dents and tires were very well worn . We blew a tire and had to wait by the Hwy for 8hrs. Finally, they had a taxi take us back to Lisbon( 1 1/2hr drive) to pick up a replacement, which was in a lot better condion and upgrade from the first.

The car came with a VERY LOW AdBlue exhaust fluid additive level, and I had to buy and add exhaust fluid--not a problem to do physically, but the car had diesel exhaust fluid gauge and I spent over an hour on the Internet trying to discern how to determine the level--and reset the warning light. Otherwise, the car was clean and in very good condition.

Cons: They didn't have a car in the classification I reserved--particularly the make and model I reserved. I had to pay additional for an upgrade to get something similar to meet myh needs. HIGH-PRESSURE sales tactics trying to get me to cancel the car reservation and insurance I purchased from Discover Cars and book directly with Centauro--which would have been more expensive. Took almost two hours to get a car to get on the highway to our destination, two hours away. VERY UNHAPPY with the treatment.

Cons: Centauro told us that the additional money we had spent with the Discover Hire service for insurance was useless, and that we pretty much had to purchase an additional $300+ worth additional coverage. We were offered to leave a $1200 deposit as an alternative, but it was made clear that if we choose to do so, we would almost certainly have to pay for some damage, and we would be liable for everything. This complex pricing game is not at all clear.
