Pros: Initial inspection missed some rock chips on the front of the car due to it being wet on pick up and the carpark being dark. This got marked when dropping the car off. Which is an even bigger insult since the car had dents and all on it already when picking it up

Pros: Drop off was quick and seamless. Although, the poor condition of the car helped with this, as it meant that the agent did not need to complete a thorough check. It would have been impossible to have identified any new damage to the bodywork given how many dents, scratches etc were already present.

Cons: The car I received was way below my expectations. I ordered an automatic car and received a manual. It had done nearly 90,000km which I feel is extremely high for a rental, and it drove like that. The exhaust for example, was loud and echoed in the cabin. The bodywork had lots of damage, and whilst the car had been cleaned - it had the smell of an older, well used vehicle. Had I not come off a longer haul flight with my young family, I would have not accepted the car in the first place.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Loss Damage Waiver (damage deductible: € 2300.00), Third Party Liability (TPL), Vehicle registration fee, Environmental charge, Free modifications.
Rate excludes
The Airport Surcharge applies in all airport locations.
Many highways in mainland Portugal are tolled using only electronic means.
All rental vehicles are equipped with a transponder that can be used for paying for all toll roads.
You’ll be charged a service fee of 2.23 EUR per day up to a maximum of 22.30 EUR per rental in addition to the tolls, which will be charged to your credit card after the rental period.
You may also be required to leave an additional deposit for tolls.
An E-toll charge will apply; personal consumption will be charged separately at the end of the rental period.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 23.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country.

Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Deposit and deductible policy



If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Roof rack, Toll pass / E-toll device, Wi-Fi, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.


Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Portugal.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 29 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
