Cons: Their cars are awesome!

Pros: In the past we had excellent fast service; not this time.

Cons: We were not picked up at the airport at a designated spot. Suppport phone lines were not working. We took a taxi to the rental site. The agent was very slow and kept trying to upsell us. Pros: Efficient and reasonably priced

Cons: N/A

Pros: the service representative was excellent

Cons: The car was not what i rented

Cons: The worst experience renting a car due to the rental company. I did not rent a car after more than 2 hours waiting to be attended: 30 minutes for the bus, 15 minutes bus and more than one hour in the office and still more than 20 clientes behind of me waiting with no more than 2-3 employes attending. I took photos of such a disaster.

Pros: It was quick

Pros: Price

Cons: Took 2 hours to get car

Pros: szybkość obsługi i profesjonalizm

Cons: Long lines to pick up car. 1 hour wait. Also long wait for shuttle back to airport at drop off with long line. Hired a car to drive us from car rental to airport so we did not miss our flight.

Cons: That they Had Not the Car which was rented, so that i only could Change it 2 days later

Pros: Zero service other than an email.

Cons: the rental was from another company and the company treats you differently because you didn't rent directly from them. tried to hard upsell on everything. Didn't get the car I ordered.

Pros: Fast Pickup and drop off at the airport

Cons: It takes way too long for us to get into the car and leave the place.

Pros: They had a van to transport us back and forth from the airport

Cons: the company that we used called Movida in Lisbon Portugal has not refunded the $600 deposit for any car damage or the $90 for the tolls. We waited for 1 hour or more when we arrived, and Movida rent a car Drive on Holidays has not replied to our email sent to operationsdept@driveonholidays.com. We feel ripped off by $690

Pros: Excellent service from very helpful staff

Pros: Very accommodating professional

Pros: Good new cars

Cons: Wait time to be served

Pros: Quick shuttle service but the drivers, both for pick up and drop off drove too aggressively. The drop off was quick and smooth.

Cons: The car had scratches on the wheels but no one had marked those when I picked up the car. I did a video but on drop off no one asked about it. The car could have been cleaner.

Pros: Excellent customer service, speedy pick up, cleanliness of car

Cons: Nothing

Pros: fast pick-up and transfer to airport

Pros: Bom atendimento e carro em boas condições

Cons: ---

Pros: staff

Cons: The first car given to me (Seat) started showing a yellow light about a week into my holiday, when I was away from Lisbon. I was given a better car (Citroen C3)for Euros 50 more. The engine of the SEAT was very dirty when we checked it to see if oil etc were OK. When I booked I asked for a small SUV and the Seat was not it.

Pros: Very professional service at all levels including the airport shuttle. The rental conditions were explained clearly and with no sales pressure.

Cons: The requirement to insert the credit card rather than use tap to pay is a bit odd.

Pros: Everything. Simply perfect.

Cons: I never received my signed contract on email.

Pros: Car was in great condition - new. The pick-up and drop-off was very quick.

Pros: Service was good.

Cons: Didn’t like the fact that you have to drop off and pick up bet 8-8 or they charge you for dropping off early or outside of this window.

Pros: Relative speed of drop off and selection of vehicles aside from not having many automatic diesel options.

Cons: Inability to bridge two seperate bookings made back to back and having to drive to Lisbon to essentially sign paperwork. The products used to make the interior of the car fragrant is horrible, migraine inducing.

Pros: Proactive management of queues by Fabio. Excellent

Pros: Excellent Rental Company chosen by Discovery.

Cons: Nothing I can think of.

Pros: Car was clean and new. I was upgraded to a luxury SUV for the same price because the original car was not available.

Cons: The service was excellent except it took a while for them to hand me the car; I guess this is due to the original car was not available. But the drop off was quick and the guy that checked the car was very professional and explained everything to me. The person at the counter also clearly explained what needs to be done and those 2 guys made my check out very easy after 35 days of driving to Portugal and Spain.

Pros: Fast and efficient

Cons: Nothing really!

Cons: Check in was a bit tedious.

Pros: We had electric problems with our car. It was almost impossible to fine a contact that I could use. Finally reached them by email.would have been terrible if I were on the side of the road. All they have to do is provide a card with dropp off and contact information. Not a hard fix

Pros: The speed and cleanliness and care of the employees.

Cons: n/a

Pros: drop off.

Cons: pick up. Battery in fob died during my rental leaving me to self discover how to open the door, start the engine. I eventually went to a dealership that replaced the fob battery.

Cons: Car was damaged, all plug in system was out of service but no apologies, no discount

Pros: The shuttle service is good, and the cars are always in good condition.

Cons: Overall, they are normally great. However, this time the cues for pickup were crazy. I had to wait more than 2 hours rather than the usual <20 minutes.

Pros: They didnot have the car I booked which failed the confirmation letter.

Cons: 1. No car 2. The service took so long and made lots of mistakes 3. They even gave me the wrong contract of the car

Pros: Very professional and efficient

Cons: It’s all good there

Pros: Good car and proce

Pros: The cleanliness of the place and the ticket system.

Cons: n/a

Pros: Everything from start to finish was as it should be, we have been hiring cars in Portugal for over 20years and we can honestly say Drive on holiday are the best we have used no pushy sales team trying to get extras , just a top professional team delivering a superb service 💯👍😎

Pros: Staff and great car

Pros: Simpathy and availability of the staff Simple, fast and efficient

Cons: Nothing to register

Pros: Eficiente e rápido.

Cons: The car hadn’t been cleaned inside, I did mention this to the hire company and they were very apologetic

Pros: Easy, stress free. Good communication

Pros: Great car. Drop-off service was highly efficient with minimal (less than 10 min) wait time.

Cons: Very long wait (>1 hour) at Pick-up. Huge issue with credit card payment process (see comments above). Would watch for ?up-sell 'scam'.

Pros: Clean outfit, good price , quick service in and out.

Cons: Agent didn't go over existing damages on car, when I chalenged him he said its ok, and told me to take pictures. also no explanation of instrumentation etc.

Cons: Windshield not clean and your employee did not have anything to clean it... Also the windshield tank was empty

Pros: always treated well. great team and patient.

Cons: The team was great, just not enough agents at pick up, waited over 1 hour to pick up my car,

Pros: Nice car, quick pickup very good ratio quality/price

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The whole process was very smooth and easy

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The service was great, a bit long to get the car ( many customers), only complain is about the cleanliness of the car inside. The back seats specially were very dirty with a lot of stains.

Pros: Shuttle pick up was on time, check in was easy and the condition of the car was great.

Pros: that they were opened when I arrived, which most places schedules are a little off this place was opened, and they had more than one employee

Cons: The car did have some damage, even though they didn’t report it or make issues about it. There were some things in a vehicle that should’ve been addressed.

Pros: Speedy, value for money, great customer service

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing

Pros: Customer service at pick up and drop off. Thank you.

Cons: Inside the car should have been thoroughly cleaned.

Pros: Fast, efficient, great customer service. Great cars for value, clean. Speedy process.

Pros: Best Car rental company in Lisbon. Highly recommended!

Pros: everything was good but I think they should check car with costumer on pick up not just saying(if you want you can make a video)

Cons: as I said rent a cars should check car with costumer

Pros: Once I got to garage pick up and drop off was efficient and professional manner.

Cons: Airport reps are not showing any Discover Cars or Drive on Holidays logo. Reps wearing Orange shirts with Movida logo are not mentioned in contract. Other reps didn’t know who discover cars was.

Pros: A nice company, the service is usually efficient, but after more than ten car rentals with the company, I always get a different car than I understood, and then I have to upgrade if the final price is reasonable, there are cases where it is not! This is a disadvantage for a good company

Cons: A nice company, the service is usually efficient, but after more than ten car rentals with the company, I always get a different car than I understood, and then I have to upgrade if the final price is reasonable, there are cases where it is not! This is a disadvantage for a good company

Pros: This is my preferred option to rent a car in Lisbon. If you know what you are doing and come prepared, you can pick up your car very quickly. Drop off is also very efficient. I cannot fault the service when compared to most other companies I have tried, even the more established companies.

Cons: On this occasion, I cannot think of anything.

Pros: Terrible service waited hours why make a reservation

Cons: First come first serve regardless of reservation

Pros: Agents are awesome

Pros: Service as expected.

Cons: A bit long for the pick up.

Pros: Quick in returning and closing the contract,

Cons: unfortunately for the collection of the car we waited 1 hour in the queue despite the time indicated in the reservation. However, they were kind to offer popsicles to those who were waiting

Pros: Once attended all good and efficient. Just a massive queue of 90 minutes.

Cons: Email response non existent. Not reachable via phone.

Cons: We rented an electric car. There was no guidance given as to how to charge, how to pay for charging, or any app’s that would assist us. Other rental companies provide a card to access the chargers. It took me a while to find an app that would let us pay for charging.

Pros: Drop-off speed, condition of auto

Cons: Pick-up speed

Pros: Cars very clean, the assistance was very nice!

Cons: The pickup time was a disaster, about 45/50 minutes waiting in line. After that the car they provided me had the wheel tire pump missed, 15 more minutes to find one from a different car.

Pros: Excellent staff especially Ruben and Fabio

Pros: Fast drop off. Fair priced.

Cons: Long wait at pick up. Need to purchase insurance even though I had it already.

Pros: Great People. Very friendly and trustworthy.

Cons: Always there to help.

Pros: I have been in Porto downtown office and airport office

Pros: Fastest check out ever

Pros: A reliable company, but there was a problem with the fuel level. It was full, but I had to fill it up again and prove with a stick that it was full!

Cons: A reliable company, but there was a problem with the fuel level. It was full, but I had to fill it up again and prove with a stick that it was full!

Pros: There was a little queue while picking up the car but except of this, the full service (pick up + drop off) was great. Best experience I had with a car rental company. I defenitely recommend Drive on Holidays!

Cons: Problem with the 2500 euros depot. Bloqued my credit card

Pros: clean car

Cons: extremely long wait time to be served on arrival (+2 hours). extremely long wait time once served for car to arrive. car categories are awful and not representative of whats advertised. fully get that you arent guaranteed the specific car you choose but their alternatives are not similar at all. i didnt like that they were not willing to find a solution for a new car when i called them up either.

Pros: Everything about the operation is reassuring, and gives confidence they are not trying to make a fast buck

Cons: Nothing

Pros: They did not try to upsell me their excess insurance

Pros: staff was very friendly and helpful efficient checking the car on return

Pros: Very helpful staff

Cons: Drop off took too long ...only had one person to receive the car ...had to wait about 30 minutes...not ideal specially when you have to catch a plane .

Pros: Fantastic service. Very helpful

Pros: car was fine. Agents were also nice. Shuttle service ok but not enough shuttles

Cons: terrible experience. Waited for 90 minutes to pick up car (systems weren't working). Long wait also when returning car (first the guy checking it, then the queue at the office, then another long wait for the shuttle)

Pros: Clear expectations

Cons: Slow service and required me to "add blue" to the car because it was out when I picked up the car right away. It was midnight, took an hour to find a car. Very dissatisfied.

Pros: Accommodating Efficient , respectful staff listening to our concerns . ,

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Everything was clearly explained.

Cons: Very slow service

Pros: Helpful staff, great car.

Cons: Pick up process a little confusing - tickets to be got not clear, numbers shown not understandable.

Pros: Quick and easy. No upselling

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Correct information! Certainly about the return address.

Cons: Incorrect information!!!

Pros: The service was slow due to language barrier.

Cons: The first car that was given to me was like a Roman aged car. Just radio block inside with no camera or Apple car play.. that is absolutely a key feature for a rental in a foreign country.this car was old, didn’t smell good .. so we demanded for a newer car and that was decent.

Pros: Everything. Great customer service!

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Too class service as always. Highly recommend.

Pros: see above

Cons: see above

Pros: Good car and great agency - Staff is very helpful

Cons: Some staff members can be kinder than others - but in general they are all good

Pros: Got upgraded and given a choice for the car given our preferred category was not available

Cons: We got in a fairly long line so ended up spending about an hour on car pickup

Pros: No problem, good car condition, excellent price

Cons: Too low tire pressure (1,6/1,7), unblocking the deposit for motorways only after four weeks

Pros: Great customer service

Pros: Excellent, very friendly

Cons: The counter of car check out is always closed and yu should stand in general line just to pay the tolls

Pros: Easy pick-up and drop-off outside the office hours, a new car, no pressure to buy an insurance

Pros: Great staff and good agency

Cons: No comments here

Pros: Très courtois et gentil. Très bonnes explications. Et les gens de la navette sont aussi très aimables. Merci

Pros: Everything was completed as I had arranged

Cons: It is still located in an area that is not all that easy to negotiate. Thank goodness for GPS. The bright orange colour of the building certainly helped.

Cons: We have our own annual insurance policy as we make numerous trips throughout the year to Lisbon. However on this occasion we noticed that someone had slightly banged the drivers door & the key lock cover came off. The charge for this was €1100 !!!!! Extortionate by any means. We will be able to claim through our insurance but this would not be the cost of the repair to a FIAT PANDA!!!!!!

Pros: Value for money

Cons: Making a disabled person stand for in excess of an hour both at drop off and pick up

Pros: Muito satisfeito com o serviço

Pros: Excellent staff and fair prices

Cons: No comments here

Cons: They indicated that 3rd party liability only applied to personal injury not to physical damage, therefore the Discovery Cars insurance was not sufficient and I needed to buy their liability insurance at an inflated rate. The Discovery Car information sheet on the rental states that 3rd party liability is covered, with no exceptions noted. Discovery should make it clear in its information exactly what 3rd party liability insurance covers.

Pros: Everything good apart from pick up

Cons: Pick up. Left waiting 20 mins at airport for shuttle then charged after hours fee because arrived at 8.10pm

Pros: Ease of car collection and return. Fair treatment.

Pros: Best car rental we’ve ever had

Pros: Very friendly and helpful. Professional service!

Pros: Very friendly and knowledgeable

Pros: Fast and easy

Cons: A lot of scratches on the car We take a lot of photos and videos before to go because we are afraid for the return but everything was OK .

Pros: Clean car

Cons: Extra charges and lack of interest in helping resolve conflicts in voucher and paid costs

Pros: Excellent Staff at the Desk and on the Phone

Cons: nothing

Pros: it was fast, clean

Cons: at my first pick up booking there, not the last one, the agent tried to charge me for adding another driver which was free when I booked, and tried to push other fees and extras insurances

Pros: Efficient service

Cons: Nothing

Pros: short waiting for the shuttle and friendly and fast handling. Car in perfect condition.

Cons: nothing

Pros: Everyone was most pleasant and helpful

Pros: They are very efficient

Cons: All was good

Cons: I was charged 12,95€ for VIA Verde activation even though I did not use it. A 0,75€ got automatically charged at a highway of which you cannot pay in cash, there are no actual tolls, it is a highway sensor that charges you automatically on your car's VIA VERDE. However, in case your car does not have one, it would charge you via other means. Yet, the car rental charged me 12,95€ for service activation plus 0,75€ against my will.

Pros: This company is absolutely horrible. Terrible customer service and very challenging to deal with. Both pick up and drop off. Will never use again and will not recommend.

Cons: Customer service. Illogical behavior. Rude, cynical and arrogant.

Cons: The man that checked me in for return of vehicle wanted to charge me extra for fuel, when I told him I had refilled tank on the way to drop off.

Cons: Too far from airport, and the distance was hidden when purchasing

Pros: Taxas justas e segundo motorista grátis

Cons: O reservatório do limpador de parabrisa estava vazio

Pros: Had an hit and run, they switched the vehicle seamlessly. Amazing staff

Pros: Drive on Holidays are the best, large inventory, friendly staff, best price. highly recommended!

Pros: Very efficient & great customer service. I will definitely use this company again car was clean & in good order

Pros: Great car condition, price, positive service

Pros: EXCELLENT INSTRUCTIONS ON PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF. EASE OF CHANGING MY RENTAL CONTRACT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY RENTAL TERM.

Pros: Have used Drive-On Holidays (part of Movida) on two occasions now at LIS. They have relocated to a brand new facility which is about 5-10minutes away. It is very customer friendly and purpose built with the customer in mind. Pick-up/Drop-off are colocated which makes the process easier. There are dedicated desks for both ends of the process. Staff were very courteous and helpful and nicely presented in their orange 🍊 uniforms! The cars have received have been spotless and newer than expected!

Cons: The pick-up at the terminal can add a little time to the collection process depending on how many others are waiting. It’s a similar scenario with the return so that needs to be factored in to the arrival. On a plus side the location is close to a Prio Petrol station (by far the cheapest near the airport) where you can also wash/vacuum the car should you need to!

Pros: Agent very helpful

Cons: Was there for one hour

Pros: Excellent staff and high level service

Cons: Last car I took was very basic car with no parking sensors, but it did the job for the purpose of use

Pros: Very helpful staff and good agency

Cons: A little long queue for the representative in the reception

Pros: I like the easiness of how things work

Cons: N/a

Pros: We regularly rent with this company. Shuttle service is quick. Price was very reasonable. Service is pretty efficient.

Cons: There are never enough staff on the counters, for checkin and returns. There are staff around but not dealing with the customers.

Pros: Ease of car rental

Cons: Over all time taken from start to finish

Cons: Car pickup and return was a bit slower than we’ve experienced before.

Pros: the same model of car that was shown

Cons: it took almost 2 hours to get the car!

Pros: The staff... Fabio Cunha helped me alot.

Cons: The car had an oil light... shortly after i got a blue light... I had to take the car back. If it wasnt for your amazing staff I would have left a bad review.

Pros: Drive on Holidays is the best service we ever had since renting cars …. Over 25 years!! Great company

Cons: The CAT was a full EV but didnt include the charging cable which made the charging super difficult.

Pros: Very efficient friendly staff

Pros: I’ve used drive on Holidays many times, but since it changed ownership, it has improved 💯.

Cons: The agent at airport at meeting point was assisting other guest with reservations and made us wait a very long time. Otherwise all was good!

Pros: Except the one thing about the waiting time, everything else was perfect! Very professional staff!

Cons: The waiting time is too long

Pros: We had an 8 hour delay in our flight arrival and they were incredible in accomodating and honouring the reservation. The Lisbon staff were amazing.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We didn’t realize we had selected and all electric car, and our agent was able to quickly resolve and switch us out.

Cons: I noticed the fine print of where to meet the agent. In a new airport that was very busy, there should be a more definite meeting spot them in front of the ice cream shop. Once shuttling to the car rental, the line to wait was extremely long. I think almost 40 min. Before we spoke with someone.

Pros: nothing

Cons: nothing

Pros: Good service

Cons: It took 1.5 hours to pick up the car due to super long line. They should hire more staff.

Cons: Pick up and drop off were a shambles. Huge lines and unhelpful/rude staff. Hidden fees that were not disclosed. Will not be returning.

Pros: Online check in but system needs improvements

Cons: Line and time spent at pick-up were really bad and unacceptable

Pros: People very nice and profissional

Cons: Time to pickup the car / van and front desk

Pros: carro em excelentes condiçoes

Cons: muita demoara na fila

Pros: Great prices

Cons: Wish they had explained the ad blue as we were surprised when adding gas Also the vila verde wasn’t fully explained

Pros: Nice people, long long pick up time... bit the car was perfect!

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: The dishonesty of your website, the hidden fees

Cons: On collecting my car I was told that I should have taken out the insurance with them and not Discovery for a better deal

Pros: nothing

Cons: everything

Pros: Pickup and drop was smooth.

Cons: 1. Having opted for comprehensive insurance, further options were offered at the time of pickup. That was confusing. It should be offered at the time of booking. 2. Car had existing scratches. It will be better if it is stated in delivery note for peace of mind. There was NO DISPUTE.

Pros: Lucio at the rental counter was, (despite coming down with a cold) welcoming, happy and extremely helpful.

Pros: Friendly

Cons: 2 hour wait at pick up

Pros: Very good service provider

Cons: It was fast, complete and especilly there were no surprises at the front desktop.

Cons: The pick up process was too long we spent over an hour in a half waiting to speak to someone. It was one line for all customers when we already had a reservation in-line

Pros: Fast and efficient.

Pros: Efficient

Cons: No problems

Pros: Good prices, honest, human.

Cons: The wait time for picking up the car

Cons: 2hour wait to pick up the car wasn't ideal - there were only 4 desks manned!

Pros: Professionalism

Cons: We had to wait for over an hour to get checked in and the shuttle service was slow

Cons: i waited for 2 hours to get the car. this is outrageous.

Pros: The shuttle service to location was efficient. Facilities at the pick up location were good.

Cons: Time taken (very long) at the rental desk was not satisfactory. They really need to have more staff deployed for processing, particularly at peak times.

Pros: Fast, Friendly and Feasible

Cons: Nothing

Pros: The price

Cons: The waiting was long to pick up...wasn't able to get all the things I requested like gps..waited over an hour in line...had a half full tank brought back full no compensation for that especially with the gas price there...had to go back in line when returned to pay toll fees...the GPS was very important the only reason we were able to do our trip was because my cousin had to use her phone as a GPS. Also at that airport you should have an agent inside when passenger are coming out of customs easi

Pros: Straight forward & didn’t have any hidden fees or mandatory car wash upon return.

Cons: Second time using the website. We like it & will continue to use it.

Pros: Upon return the agent advised me to go to car cleaning spot in a gas statiin nearby to clean the sea sand from the back seat to avoid 50 euro fine. 3 minutes to get there 1 euro and 3 minutes to vaccum. The easiest 50 euroes I have ever made..

Cons: On pickup the didn't mention their clean policy when returning the car and I almost paid 50 euro for some sea sand dirt on the back seat.

Pros: Car clean and in normal condition.

Cons: When we arrived at the delivery post there was a disorganized and confusing queue. The representative was hurried and spoke half Portuguese and half English. They charged us more. We should have paid 100 when we arrived but we paid 350. I do not recommend the service.

Pros: Everything was perfect, I really don't understand why so many people complain about this company?! It was a very, very pleasant experience, one end to another!

Cons: No complaints!

Pros: When I pick up at Lisbon airport the representative was very helpful

Cons: When car broke down I call rep she was very helpful and sent help and a taxi to take me to the closest airport to get another car but the rep gave m a gas car instead of a diesel car when I told her I wanted a diesel car she ignored me and kind said that’s what we have as of now

Cons: Ripped us off!! On top of fee I paid to discover upfront for $400 euro the supplier Required nearly 60 euro/day insurance, a one way additional fee of nearly 200 euros and early drop off fee of 40 euros despite 2 people being there and the place open but empty!! I am so angry and disappointed!! Feel robbed on my European vacation!!
