Pros: Friendly staff. Nice car. Efficient service!

Cons: They didn’t accept by credit card’s collision damage waiver insurance letter. Wasn’t entirely clear to me why. Luckily we had no accidents and it wasn’t an issue.

Cons: Car had no oil, car had no adblue I had to add it, above 110km/h the car started shaking, scratches in the front and wait 25 for the shuttle, 8 years being there costumer and still don’t have any historic of my past in that company. Really terrible sinse Movida took over! Never again!

Cons: I wasn’t pleased that after picking up the SUV and around 10min down the road I noticed that the car in fact had a 3/4 full fuel tank. And yet the paperwork given by the staff stated to return the the vehicle with a “full” tank. I returned the vehicle with a full tank and upon mentioning it to the Drive On Holidays staff they felt no obligation to compensate me for what amounted to shorting me on 26euros worth of fuel. I rented the vehicle through DiscoverCars.

Cons: Drive In Holidays forced us to buy additional insurance, on top of the insurance we purchased from Discover Cars. They told us we could not take the car without the additional insurance (even though Discover Cars says they cannot force you to do that, but apparently they can), and they charged us more than 300 euros for the new insurance. It was a complete con and we ended up paying almost three times as much as we had expected for the car rental.

The car wasn’t full of ad blue which is crucial for a diesel car. I needed to get back, tell the crew that issue and wait for the team to fill it in. This should be done properly before pickup.

Maybe that was in the fine print somewhere, but I didn't see it, and that's a big extra cost that I wasn't expecting. I don't think it's fair that I don't get that money back after I returned the car with no problems. Why should I have to pay more because I don't have a credit card? That seems really unfair.

I don't feel the onus should be on the customer to record existing damage when picking up the vehicle. The pre-inspection should be done by an agent and customer together. I have not yet received a refund for the 70 euro deposit for the toll transponder. There is a new unknown charge on my card for 8.89 euros on Nov 29.

Portugal is known for petty theft from vehicles (experienced personally) and the sticker acts as a flashing beacon. This was my second rental from them….the first rental the vehicle had no sticker on it identifying it as a rental. No idea what has spawned the reason of installing a sticker besides advertising. For this reason alone that will be my last rental

Pros: Fast pick up and drop off

Pros: The car we received was an upgrade on what we had booked. It was almost brand new with that "new car" smell. From what we could at pick-up there was a large variety of cars that were in good condition and not old.

Cons: Whilst staff were very friendly overall the collection desk "hard-shell" on additional insurance was a little tedious. This might be construed as bullying by some less hardened clients. I have an annual hire-car excess policy which covers me for all the additional cover items they were trying to push. This extra insurance was costing more than the car rental itself! The collection point for the cars is no longer fit for purpose. Collections/drop-offs are in same place and it is simply too small

Cons: We had drop off at 4 am, nobody showed up there was no contact point to call (the phones were not 24/7, but 8am to 20 pm). We have to leave it in hotel near airport and almost missed our flight because of it. Nobody cared to get in tpuch with us to resolve it or apologize. We had to call several times only to hear they still didn't close the rental. At the time of writing we still don't know the current state of things, deposit was not returned, no contact from the company has been made.

Cons: We purchased every insurance (maybe even too much!) and still waiting over 3 weeks to get necessary documents regarding an accident that was not our fault.

Cons: Contract says support 24 hours, but is not true if you have a problem in the road as happened to me their support only apply from 8AM to 8PM, if you have a problem after 8PM you must wait until next morning for someone answer your call and get support. After you get in contact with them and they authorize you to get the car to a mechanic they will ask you pay first and keep the receipt and will refund you when you drop the car, that not happen until now still waiting to be refunded.
