Pros: Price. Very small advance payment with a full payment on collection (as opposite to other car rental agents like Rentalcars.com, which I hate!).

Cons: Drive on Holidays check in (collection) process. We were waiting for 90 (!!!) minutes in a queue to collect the car. The process is so slow even though I completed check in online in advance and submitted all documents. I hire car very often in many countries - this was by far my worse collection experience so far.

Cons: When we arrived at the delivery post there was a disorganized and confusing queue. The representative was hurried and spoke half Portuguese and half English. They charged us more. We should have paid 100 when we arrived but we paid 350. I do not recommend the service.

And yet the paperwork given by the staff stated to return the the vehicle with a “full” tank. I returned the vehicle with a full tank and upon mentioning it to the Drive On Holidays staff they felt no obligation to compensate me for what amounted to shorting me on 26euros worth of fuel. I rented the vehicle through DiscoverCars.

The car wasn’t full of ad blue which is crucial for a diesel car. I needed to get back, tell the crew that issue and wait for the team to fill it in. This should be done properly before pickup.

Maybe that was in the fine print somewhere, but I didn't see it, and that's a big extra cost that I wasn't expecting. I don't think it's fair that I don't get that money back after I returned the car with no problems. Why should I have to pay more because I don't have a credit card? That seems really unfair.

Cons: At pickup, there was no inspection of, or record of the existing damage to the car which was small dents and scratches. The agent told me to take a video of any damage. I don't feel the onus should be on the customer to record existing damage when picking up the vehicle. The pre-inspection should be done by an agent and customer together. I have not yet received a refund for the 70 euro deposit for the toll transponder. There is a new unknown charge on my card for 8.89 euros on Nov 29.

Pros: It was really bad. The car was old, with a lot of mileage. The return was tumultuous because they didn't accept receiving the car before 8 am, and would only receive it if we paid 33 euros; there were countless people returning their cars at the same time

Cons: The office needs to update it's address with google maps. Office should open at 7am instead of 8am. At the present time they charge a fee of 33 euros to drop the car off before 8am.

Pros: Pick up and drop off shuttle to and from the airport was timely. The team at the rental car location were all very helpful. The agent who did the initial check in was knowledgeable and friendly.

Cons: The pick up location in Lisbon was very difficult to find. We took a taxi to get there. Driver was having trouble and tried to phone but the phone was not getting picked up.

Cons: the car i "booked" was not provided then when asked why even after seeing the CAR I BOOKED on the floor at that same garage I was told its a sliding scale and they are the same. but not to be out done a 33 euro charge was added when I returned the car and I wasn't told about that when I signed up. it was horrible and awful .

Cons: Service wasn’t the problem. As a vacationer in Portugal the rental company sticker on the back of the car helped target me as a foreigner. Portugal is known for petty theft from vehicles (experienced personally) and the sticker acts as a flashing beacon. This was my second rental from them….the first rental the vehicle had no sticker on it identifying it as a rental. No idea what has spawned the reason of installing a sticker besides advertising. For this reason alone that will be my last rental

I had gone on discover cars website to find out what to do. It explained I had 28 days to file a claim. I explained that to the supervisor. His response was without a police report they will not take back. Went to the nearest police station and they told me they couldn’t do anything. I missed my flight cost me another $2700 cdn

Pros: Nothing. You guys left me and my family stranded at Lisbon airport at 1am in the morning. Why would you even take the booking at night if you don’t work that late. You know full well that planes get delayed and luggage can take time to collect. I will never use a small rental company again. Sticking to the bigger companies. Europcar had to bail me out after I took an €80 taxi to our destination.

Cons: Couldn't locate keys on pickup so was delayed an extra hour after getting through the lengthy lineup and process. Rental car had only 1/4 tank of gas on pickup. Dropoff location changed during the rental duration and when I called the info # they gave me the old address which added to the dropoff time.

Pros: I was charged 153 euros more than tue amount mentioned on my rental voucher (Booking number DC-5824251) And inspite of mailing and calling multiple times, even from Drive On Holidays, I still haven’t received my money back. Please get back at the earliest and help with this.

Pros: The car we received was an upgrade on what we had booked. It was almost brand new with that "new car" smell. From what we could at pick-up there was a large variety of cars that were in good condition and not old.

Cons: Whilst staff were very friendly overall the collection desk "hard-shell" on additional insurance was a little tedious. This might be construed as bullying by some less hardened clients. I have an annual hire-car excess policy which covers me for all the additional cover items they were trying to push. This extra insurance was costing more than the car rental itself! The collection point for the cars is no longer fit for purpose. Collections/drop-offs are in same place and it is simply too small
