Masterkings at Lisbon Airport

Pros: A few small bumps and scratches on the car were pointed out to us at pick-up. The agent was careful to record all, with clear reassurance that we were in no way responsible for them. Car to be returned with fuel at similar level, no need for fuel receipts.

Cons: I had no complaints at all.

Cons: A number of warning lights came on towards the muddle of our 5 week vacation

Pros: This company is unethical. I declared an incident Dec 18, 2025 both by phone and email and they were appalling. I needed to involve consumers affairs in Portugal just to force them to accept the receipt of my email.

Cons: Voiture livrée avec moins du quart d'essence donc obligé de trouver une station service pour prendre correctement la route. Arrivé à l'aéroport à 18h, pas de navette ! Impossible de joindre l'agence par téléphone, le numéro sur le contrat est à Faro (agence fermée) et j'avais pris la location à Lisbonne. Après 1h1/4 de tentatives de coups de téléphone j'ai pris un taxi (prix 20 euros) pour me rendre à l'agence. Aucun geste commercial de leur part

Pros: We got all the information we needed before leaving with the car. A change we needed to make was willingly made.

Cons: One small confusion on arrival at the airport. We thought someone would be present to take us to the pick up location. However, we had to make a call to the office first. This was not clearly stated in the email we got.

Their system seems to need to go through a lot of steps though to get you the car. A more streamlined way of the desk agents filling out customer information is needed.

Cons: Don’t know where the screw up was but finding the proper phone number for the pick up and waiting for it and then being charged and extra 30 euro was a bad experience. They blames discovery cars and shrugged their shoulders. This wrong info should not be made the clients fault but it was. A bad experience all the way around. I will never use either company again.
