As soon as you mention that you don't want to take up THEIR offer, your credit card is bad, it needs to have the entire name embossed. If you opt for Your offer, they try to make it less attractive stating that they need to hold the Eur2500 deposit for 90days. Not my first rodeo, so basically got a lift back to the airport and booked with Avis Budget. Get rid of them.

As soon as I arrived, they tried to convince me to rent the car through them, with their own insurance, and vigorously explained the risks of going ahead with the conditions agreed with discovercars. When I declined paying their insurance, they actioned the clauses to prevent me to take the car, and they did not accept the credit card with abbreviation. Left without the car and any refund.

Cons: I arrived at the car rental and was told we couldn’t use our credit card as it was not in the main drivers name. We were only told of this rule after booking with discover car. The car company refused to amend the booking to have the card holder as the main driver and instead said we would have to pay $145 to change it. This was an error on discovery car as this was not told to us before paying for the hire. We had to walk away from the car rental without a car which has ruined our holiday.

Cons: Instead of picking up the vehicle, you are sat down with a salesperson who aggressively upsells you on an expensive liability package before you get your car. The agent asked if I'd ever been to my destination before. When I said no, he told me that I'd be driving on gravel roads, which I later found to be completely false. He also stated that it was impossible to adjust the return date for my vehicle. Overall, the misinformation, inflexibility,and aggressive sales tactics soured the experience.

Cons: Agents are pushy in terms of buying insurance and selling extra service. Find out that he wasn't telling the through about toll road to sell out transponder.

Pros: Car was very new and clean.

Cons: They wouldn't accept my visa debit card for the deposit. However, if I took out their full insurance for an extra €175, it was fine. It didn't matter that I already had the full insurance from Discover Cars. So I was forced to pay more and have double insurance or I wouldn't be able to take the car.

Pros: We were given a Citroen c3 with the rear driver side light pack very loose. Uncomfortable with it, we called and spoke with Mateus in tech dept who told us to bring it in. Tercio Veras tended to us when we arrived and was very efficient in getting us a replacement vehicle. Thank you Mateus and Tercio!

Cons: When we initially got our car, a Citroen c3, we noticed that rear driver side light assembly was loose from the car however the agent told us to take a video as proof that it was already in that state when we received it and sent us on our way. She did not offer us another vehicle or suggest we bring it back for repair. We then spoke with Mateus in tech dept. He told us to bring it back and we were given another car. We should not have been given that initial car in such disrepair.

Cons: Shuttle from airport to Klass Wagen took almost one hour. Car is inferior than the one that I rented.

Cons: The policy they have of having to purchase their insurance if your credit card shows up as a debit card in their system, which is ridiculous. You can cancel a credit charge just as easily as a debit. The car cost double because of that and I will never rent from them again. I will also make sure everyone I know is warned to not rent from them. I was also given an unwanted upgrade. I rented a small car for a reason and was very unhappy to receive the car that I did.

Cons: Additional money requested, we tried to deny the offer, but there was no other way to rent the car than just pay more.. :(

Pros: Its hard to say anything good about Klas wagon after they left a bad taste in my mouth. They answered emails and the Brazilian that helped us get to the airport was great.

Cons: I don't know who's at fault here, but I paid double from what I was told by discovery cars! They sit you down and purposely add charges etc because they know you need a car. I showed the agent my voucher and what I was supposed to pay and he said no that's wrong. I paid over $1200 ??? It was supposed to be 600? I will be sending a formal email today with receipts as I just got back into Canada last night!

Cons: I’ll begin by saying that this was the worst experience I’ve had with a car rental company in 20 years. From start to finish Klass Wagen in Lisbon was awful. I wish I could write more, but my full review is on their website.

Pros: The car was well presented, clean and met all of our needs. The young man who met me at the drop off on Saturday, 5 August 2023 was very efficient and professional.

Cons: I am very unhappy and disappointed with how my family and I were treated by Klass Wagen. On Saturday, 22 August, 2023 we arrived at Lisbon Airport and picked up our baggage immediately. There was no delay. We made our way out to the shuttle bus pick up area and waited for the shuttle bus to arrive. Eventually I had to make a telephone call to ask the shuttle bus to pick us up. I was told 10 minutes but it was at least 45 minutes later that we were picked up. I require more space to finish.

Pros: Good prices. Car return process was smooth and the agent was great, asking us how everything was in a most sympathetic manner.

Cons: The rude and aggressive upsell of insurance at the start. Having to wait for our car "to be washed" at pick up (potentially because we didn't buy the insurance). The car was a little old, and the gears didn't work very well, but we understand the tradeoff with price, so this is a more minor matter.

Pros: The car was 200ft away once I was done with paperwork.

Cons: Took 40 minutes to have shuttle take me 2 miles from airport pickup to office drop off.

Pros: This was a terrible experience. I have now seen many reviews on TripAdvisor telling of similar experiences. Klass Wayon Tried insistently to upsell me - to pay their cover insurance. The agent said they didn’t have a good relationship with Discovercars when I asked why she wasn’t satisfied with the package I booked with Discovercars. She made me feel insecure with Discovercars as a trustworthy company. And when I dropped the car back they ‘found’ a scratch and held my deposit.

Cons: If Discovercars could help me rectify was seems like Klass Wayon’s business protocol. Or advise me where I can put a review that would effectively tell the public how this company operates.

Cons: The car didn’t correspond. I rented a VW T Roc cartegory and I’ve got a Kia Stonic. It’s not the same kind of car … The agent try to make us buying the insurance even by lying on the fact we need a police report to get refund by DiscoverCars insurance. Also not all the damages were written down on the initial report. So at the checkout we needed to show the pictures we took (fortunately) to proof it’s not us that have done some bodywork marks.

Other car rental companies allow it by charging a big deposit that they refund at the end of the rental if no issue with the car. The rental was supposed to be cheap, for this price we would have gone to a big Hertz or Europcar and got the car from the airport and not take 10 min to go far from the airport to get it.

They didn’t care and were very rude. They had 3 people working but only one person would check cars in. They told me the insurance I purchased through discovercars.com was no good and made me purchase additional insurance directly with them.

Pros: The representative was friendly and explained well everything. But still we paid a lot more that we expected.

Cons: We had the worst customer service ever. We had an accident with a motorcycle. Police, ambulance, all the works, so it was very traumatic. I needed them to send a tow truck so we could have the car repaired, the bumper needed to be fixed. The line was very bad, and even if we had the police explained to them where we were, he wanted me to download WhatsApp.. which I could not do! The car was finally towed by a friend of the policeman and he kindly fixed it, without the help of Klass Wagen.

Pros: Overall, I would recommend Klass Wagen as a value rental. However, if you have a problem on the road with your car, you may have difficulty like I did. I spent several hours playing telephone tag and never did get any help. They need to update their contract maintenance association. It was useless for me.

Pros: The agent was very nice and the car was bigger than the one we expected to get. It was also easier to drive in and out of the Klass Wagen location than to try and drive in and out of the airport parking lots (as is the case with some of the other car rental companies at Lisbon).

Cons: It did take a little longer to pick up the car, even though we were about 15 minutes later than our pick up time. We waited for about 20 minutes to talk to an agent once we were at the company office and then about another 20 minutes because the car was still being washed. It ended up working out because our check in time was later in the day but might not be so great if we were in a rush.
