The voucher clearly stated under car details "including airport surcharge €15" , but an extra €15 was then added to my bill , & I since complained to you at Discover cars re this, but in your reply to me, you ignored this comment. I had to pay an extra €15 that is not fair. this time, it was clearly included in the charge on the voucher and on screen when booking. You owe me €15.

Pros: From the moment we were dropped off at the rental company just outside faro the staff were super efficient, polite and made everything seem really simple compared to my rental from somewhere else last year

Cons: just a couple of issues with the car itself - one bulb in the front headlamp indicator didn't work and the usb for the phone connection didn't work - so I couldn't play music thru the car but I also couldn't listen to the radio and charge my phone at the same time because the stereo would flip back and forth between radio and usb on it's own, so it was a bit annoying.

No help with cases...when we got to desk car was well below standard expected. A lot of damage to car and well below standard paid for. Told agent this and basically ignored me....I knew the rental price and was expecting some add ons....however with insurance and tole box.the price had tripled to close to 600 euros.... Once we got car, no instructions no directions....

Pros: The service agent was very sweet but clearly way, way overworked.

Cons: The car was awful. Full of dents prior to pick up, the accelerator had to be pressed at least 5 seconds before the car would start moving. Even seemingly ‘just hovering’ above the brake pedal would all but jam them on almost to a full stop. A really bad car and in all my many years renting a car it was by far the worst car I have ever rented.

Cons: Hidden costs: as regards the costs while renting a car in Portugal, along with what disclosed during the online car reservation, additional costs were presented in the local counter, apparently "standard", the unavoidable one being "airport tax" of 15 euros. It is recommended that such "standard" cost be revealed and disclosed accordingly during the online reservation.

There is a unit at Faro which had the name discovery cars behind the desk agent were waited in a queue then found out it was nothing to do with discovery cars pick up point. 15€ is too much for a very short shuttle distance considering the current cost of car hire in Portugal twice the price of Spain

Cons: We paid for additional insurance on line to cover every eventuality but at the desk we were offered additional insurance of €10/day! and we’re told this was for ‘full’ cover, otherwise if we had a problem, our credit card would be charged and we would have to claim it back at some point. We didn’t budget for this cost, so we were worried and anxious all holiday. Great shame, I’m happy to pay for insurance, but would like to know cost when we book.

They stated that they would make a correction and I would get a Seat. I had no other option for a very late hour, the children were tired. they wanted to charge 2500 euro deposit or 10 euro insurance per day of stay.
