Drive on Holidays at Faro Airport

Cons: very unprofessional, poor customer service, car was damaged and dirty. They did not inspect visually with me,looks they care more about blocking deposits for damage and highway fees.I bought insurance and their response was you have to contact Discover Cars.We have nothing to do with if you are involved in any kind of demaged cause on?in the car.Very poor and unpleasant company. Will never rent cars again from them and would not recomend either.

Pros: Lady at check out was nice, but did not help us resolve our issue.

Cons: Asked for a manual instead of automatic. Employee made a big deal out of helping us, but provided a much smaller and cheaper car without asking me first. Only after signing for the manual car it was obvious that the manual car was too small for us. We didn't want to change back to automatic again. Why not be clear upfront? Also, the much higher deposit was kept by the company, although the cheaper car needs a much lower deposit. Very unhappy. Car was too small and paid too much.

Pros: The car was in good condition, drove well, it was easy to find and easy to book.

Pros: Friendly and efficient staff, quick and easy processing and no attempt to sell extra insurance or claim any damage.

Cons: Vehicle was dirty and was quite battered... but this was possibly reflected in the very good rate I got the vehicle for.... so overall no complaints.

Pros: Good clean brand new car

Cons: Coerced into getting insurance through them. Was told our insurance purchased with the booking would not be valid if it was essentially a hit and run when caused us to panic agree to their insurance as well. Also in so many words told to give a review on the spot when returning the car to get confirmation of the rental agreement ending. Also didn’t receive any emails or information to confirm collection of the car.

Pros: Lovely modern office with helpful staff who were clear about what they were doing at each stage of the hand over.

Cons: Lost my licence plate underway, which was resolved btw, whereby I had to call (myself) a lot of different phone numbers. In my view, this could have been resolved in a more customer friendly manner, i.e. ''We are going to solve it right away''.

Pros: It has been simple and they are improving the speed of collection by getting my details in advance

Cons: I have clearly asked the agent what would be the fees for the usage of Via Verde System and I was told that I only had to paid for the usage. However, when I returned the car, I was made aware and had to pay an activation fee of over €22. This miscommunication has cause pain to my wallet.

Pros: Excellent Very friendly staff, very efficient check in and check out

Cons: Excellent

Pros: Always friendly, usually super efficient (especially the minibus turn round which is outstanding). Have been using them on an off for years. Very good when you need a bigger car than the bog-standard Fiat 500 🙂

Cons: Seems a bit overwhelmed at pickup as long queue had built up and lots of people seemed to have issues. Car had not been thoroughly cleaned as it was likely in and straight out again, we had to get them to remove some sticky muck from the central console, and replace the keyless fob battery which triggered a low battery warning on the days, so took and age!

Pros: Pedro Lopez was great. He explained everything clearly. He was excellent.

Cons: We arrived at a busy time. Despite the number of staff serving customers, it took a while to be seen

Cons: 30 euro charge to return before 8am, when the car rental agents were all in the office anyway, and customers sat outside and waited

Pros: Good service and. Lose tomairport

Cons: They hold 75 euros for potential toll use for a long time. This is too high in my opinion

Pros: Efficient and well explained of all the options available.

Cons: Car different to that requested but not a major issue.

Pros: Polite, helpful and efficient

Pros: Great staff

Cons: Pickup takes too long and uses a bunch of paper that other companies do not, especially as a regular customer.

Cons: Only the delay. Booked car for 13:00 Arrived by 14:00 Car not ready, had to wait, finally left at 14:45

For safety we filled up and had to give back 15L ! We need ourmoney back! €30!

Pros: The staff are great to deal with.

Cons: The car wasn’t as good as I’ve had before. The tyre pressure warning light was on. The drivers mat was in such poor condition that it constantly got stuck under the pedals. Plus the petrol tank wasn’t full as stated on the paperwork.

Cons: unclear rules on payment

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Everything with this company was hard work. Didn’t even give me the correct address for dropping the car off. Almost left me and 4 children stranded in Portugal at midnight. Pros: Hassle free efficient car hire

Pros: Not enough informed

Cons: Not clean

Pros: friendly and efficient with a no nonsense check in and check out. Car in very good condition.

Cons: This is not a dislike, just a suggestion . As cars now have lots of "features", it would help if either a car manual or some simple instruction material on use of on board computer screen and things like cruise control and where to find the catch for the petrol and the bonnet was left in the car. It tool 20 minutes and a lot of searching to figure out how to open the bonnet and fill up the washer reserve. And I never did manage to use the cruise control on a long motorway journey.

Pros: They provided a literally new vehicle.

Cons: There was a hidden cost which I could not see online before the day of the rental. They set up an extremely high excess wave limit, then introduced me another c.200 euros can eliminate this excess amount. I had to choose to pay 200 more since they allocated me a new car, any small dent would be blamed and claimed if I did not buy this option in.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Personal transport from airport to Office to pick up car

Cons: High credit limit on credit card required to book the vehicle

Pros: Everything was very easy from pick up to drop off! Everyone spoke English and was super nice & professional. They are located about a 5-10min shuttle ride from the airport. Easy to find the van at outside the airport where they said they would be & dropping the car back off took about 15 minutes at most. Highly recommend & would definitely use them again.

Pros: I loved everything!

Cons: There is nothing to complain about. Good job guys

Pros: The dropp of exceeded expectations. A completely different reception than when we picked up the car. Perhaps our email to their support had been taken seriously.

Cons: When we were done with all the papers, we got the key to the car. I then drove the car outside the car rental office to check the condition. We then discovered several scratches and other damages. Went back into the office and asked a clerk to explain the damage report on the contract which was in Portuguese. He had no interest in this. Then asked him to come out so we could inspect the car together. He then said I could take a video of the car. Taking pictures of a black car in bright sunshine

Pros: Professional and fully explained

Cons: Fast and thorough

Pros: Very friendly

Cons: The high pressure sales pitch to buy extra insurance

Pros: Staff didn't try and force your own insurance on us as we had paid for extra cover through discovery

Cons: We were half an hour early bringing the car back ie we arrived at 4am rather than 4:30am and were told we had to wait until 4:30 before they could deal with the paperwork. In the end they did it at 4:20.

Pros: Pick up procedure was efficent

Cons: That they have kept 70 euro of my money from 26th January until todays date having been written to and phoned twice asking for return to be made and lies told regarding repayment.

Even a car dealership couldn’t get the information to register. I should be reimbursed for it!!! I bought a SIM card for my phone so I had navigational aid.

Pros: It was efficient.

Cons: They still encourage you to take their insurance plan although I had obtained the Full Coverage option.

Pros: They weee easy to work with and return was super simple considering it was offsite . The rep was amazing

Cons: Pushy to take additional insurance even though i had insurance thru yourselves . Trying to force a lower deductible premium on the $1500 deposit.
