Pros: Newish car, family were happy with one supplied, they weren't pedantic on cleanness of returned car

Cons: Price was not as advertised, more expensive so the site was misleading. So Discover Cars was not accurate, car was not what we ordered and not in great shape bodywise.
Pros: The car was pretty dinged up but the agent was super fair about marking it up so we didn't have to worry about getting charged on back end. It was fine that it wasn't immaculate as we were a big group on vacation and didn't need perfection.

Cons: The agent told me about cleaning costs, the money paid for the toll costs, the payment to cover the risk of damage or blocking 1100 on my credit card. It felt like I was bombarded with information, all of which was with the aim of taking more money from me. Not a nice start to our holiday!
Pros: Communication with Carla and Lara on headquarters. They really helped me and my fiance out in regards of what happened with the four tires during our vacation. BIG SHOUT OUT TO CARLA.
Cons: All four tires on the car had to be switched out at mechanic 3 days into trip, and Drive on Holidays (Carla on the phone/email) took the cost of _second hand tires_ as supplement. We got to keep the car, yes, great! But the next day we had an air-leakage and woke up to a pretty flat tire. Carla again was a superstar for the second situation. Communication with Carla in OP DEP was an angel and Drive on Holidays have her to thank for us being super happy with our trip over all.

Pros: Rude staff, couldn’t wait to have you out of the office. Particularly aggressive tone when asked a question about a process, verging on threatening at drop off. No at all clear what the customer is supposed to do upon finding the car rental car park at the airport - no signs or staff to advise. Simply had to join the queues of people at the small desk and wait for advice that a bus comes to collect people (after a dismissive wave as if to say “why have you joined our queue”

When i objected, he threatened to give me a fine of 50 eur ;) Then i have asked to speak with the manager and this solved all problems - the smile came back to his face and the "my friend" conversations started ....

Cons: I collected the car in the dark at night under dimmed lights and noted this. Unclear what I was being charged for, and the worst service I ever received on giving back the car. No transparency on how I could be charged €1,000 for a tear on a tyre. It started off at €3,500 and then when I objected €1,000 with no proof as to how a hire company could justify that for two tyres. Any answers to questions were delayed even though I was anxious to return to catch a plane. I will be following this up.

Cons: The delay in being collected from the car park at Faro airport and taken to the rental office was frustrating. On collection the windscreen was filthy and difficult to see out off when the sun was low in the sky.
Cons: Abysmal experience. We did not receive a car because they would not take my Amex. For a company that only accepts credit card, not taking Amex seems like a fatal flaw. We offered to pay for any fees associated but they declined. I had a number of debit cards but they declined. I asked to speak to the manager who was incredibly rude and told us to leave....we therefore had to pay a taxi. Additional to the issues; the shuttle point is poorly signposted and we had to wait ~40 minutes for it to arrive

Cons: Everything. I feel scammed by them - they charged almost a thousand euros for damage I did not do to a car which was probably not even worth that amount. The car was very old. Moreover, when I received the car it was in a TERRIBLE condition and felt very dangerous. Took a while to start it now and then. The car was hired out cheaply and then I was charged for "damage". A great business model!!

Cons: My most recent experience with them was excellent as the car was not well presented and was low on oil. They exchanged it with a bramd new car at my home address. First class !

Cons: The car was missing maintenance, had an change engine oil warning light, tyre pressure was not proper, and while driving the engine warning light came up. Engine was not accelerating at all on a motorway.

If you have no credit card or the name is slightly different eg husband / wife shared bank account then they will not accept it and charge you £140. So corrupt. I offered to go and get £2500 out of bank but they refused. Do not use this company

Cons: I didn't like their policy on how they protect their car from damage. It was very bad. You could: pay a HUGE deposit on the car and risk losing it all should you get into any sort of accident or damage, or you could purchase their costly car protection. I showed them where I purchased your insurance protection, they said they wouldn't recognize other car protection services. There was a reason the weekly car rate was so cheap!

Cons: They did not allow me to share in the initial vehicle inspection. They performed it independently and then asked me to sign. When I Pointed this out they waived it aside and further requested my signature. The vehicle had many areas of damage to bodywork and no percent shelf! They made me apprehensive about signing and worried about the vehicle return. In the event it all went smoothly and no issues.

Cons: There were hidden costs on pick up, eg extra insurance for 230E, plus the bond was 3600E.I was never given a copy of the terms and conditions for the comprejensive insurance, with such a big bond I think this should be required. In the end we didnt have any damage to car but if we had it would have been very distressing given the latter. Im not sire if what we experienced is the industry norm in Portugal. Its not the norm elsewhere

Cons: The pick-up service was really bad, there is no system in place. The last arriving are the fist ones to be taken. There was a lady on that day directing people to the car park, she should be giving order number of collections to avoid that. Once I got in the van first I was the last one to do the check in. The big caos. I have complained to them. I wasn’t happy at all. More than 1:30 to get the car.

Cons: Being charged an extra 30€ on arrival because it was 8pm. My flight was due to arrive at 7.45pm. It was physically impossible to be at car rental office before 8pm. I think i should have been made aware of this extra charge when booking.

Cons: 1) was forced to pay full insurance because I didn’t have a visa credit card (I had a visa debit & other credit cards). I would like to make a formal complaint about this as I think it was essentially stealing (thought this type of behaviour had gone) 2) meet and greet claim is very misleading and in danger of being a complete miss selling (man with a clip board sending you to a transfer bus that we then had to wait for the third one before being transferred over to the agent.
