Cons: The car had a missing boot liner so had the spare wheel on show. Had to pay extra 40 euros for second driver and 40 euros out of hours. Was told would be waiting in arrivals but had to message to say no one there then told to go to P4. Had to check over every little scratch by phone torch. Did not have a toll thing in car. Collected car and started to rain couldn’t see out of windscreen have pictures to show how greasy the windscreen wipers were. Cleaned them next day thick black gunge!!!!!

Cons: Charged significant and unreasonable damage costs we didn’t recognise on returning the vehicle which was in poor condition when we collected

Pros: For the pickup it was 5-10 minutes wait for the rep but when I called he was there straight away. No complaints though as it was very busy. Dropping off was easy agent had a quick look and was happy

Cons: Some documentation not available in English at pickup. Car had lots of scratches and marks so had to spend quite some time marking these all, even if every small, to make sure we weren’t held responsible. Other companies discount marks smaller than a certain size which is a more common sense approach.

Cons: Being informed of an astonishing 800 euros charge after leaving the car in "perfect" condition according to their own agent. The car was anyway quite old and had a number of dents when we picked it up. When faced with legal action and bad reviews, they have offered to negotiate but as we have a deadline to complete this review, I am explaining the facts as they stand. We are in touch with credit card company and will inform the police if necessary.

Pros: The car I rented was clean and great to drive

Cons: Pick up tool way too long, an hour in the baking sun with no lotion on and very tired/hungry passengers. Also charged for damage to the car after return, despite no damage being present when checked. Only informed via email even though myself and the rental clerk both checked and found no damage. £130 for a small scratch that they definitely did themselves. A total con. Be careful with these guys.

Pros: the car ran well and was inexpensive. agent when I dropped off was courteous and efficient.

Cons: Agent at pick-up was rude and lacked basic skills of courtesy. Car didn't have a USB port. I was not given the option of a transponder for the highway tolls system - the agent told me " Its nicer to drive on the small roads anyway because they go through the towns instead of around them." Actually it was a pain the butt most of the time. I had to sign about 6 forms rather than the usual 1 form.

Cons: The car was in need of a service with very ponderous gear change. Needed to do handbrake starts on hills despite being an automatic car.

Cons: Represeentitive nor there on return and had to ring. Car did not have a motorway toll chip so had to find post office to pay and could not use motorway for last couple of days. With public holidays still not sure if i payed everything as even though because it had not been processed.

Cons: Had to call rep and airport and wait a little while Biggest issue - no A22 tax device in the car so had to go to the post office each tome after travelling on A22. This is a burden for those hiring the car and should be made much clearer before accepting booking. Whilst it’s a pain to manage in the holiday, it makes no sense on return to the airport - you can only pay the taxes after 48 hours so unless you know someone in country who can pay for you, you are stuffed! Simply not a good service!

Cons: The fact that I had to pay an extra 10 EUR of tolls which I clearly was not responsible for at the time. In other words, when I collected the car, it had unpaid tolls from the previous person/people who rented it, and I ended up paying the unpaid tolls (about 10 EUR).

Cons: Administration on th parkinglot in the burning sun. Employee did barely speak English The state of the car (damage/tire profile/ broken headlamp).

Cons: Car was old and under powered and to prevent leaving a 1200 euro deposit i had to take premium insurance and 8 euro per day.

Cons: There was no box in the car to pay automatically fot the toll on the highway. I had to go two times to the postoffice to pay fot the toll. The postoffice was closed in the weekends and i was leaving on monday early in the morning so it was not possible to pay for the toll. So Discoverhire will charge me the payment of the toll on my creditcard en will also charge me 15 euro's for doing this. PS: why is there no app fot your mobile phone what you can use to pay for the toll?
