Discovery Cars at Faro Airport

Pros: Easy to find once left airport and good communication. Not the cheapest but service was good. Car had a few bumps/scratches but this did not affect the use of car. We walked around the car with the representative and everything was marked off before we left the depot.Drop off of vehicle was out of hours, but really easy to do and find. Overall a good experience all round.

Pros: Shuttle guy and team were friendly. Charges were clear and fair, Only 20 euros to add another driver and 1.80 euro to add toll charge device. We were charged 20 euros because our flight was delayed as we arrived after 8:00, this was reasonable as my friend was charged 50 euro for this.

Cons: Overall very good although I did order an Intermediate SUV, Seat Arona or similar but got A KIA ceed with a scratch on the side. This is not an SUV. I didn't complain too much because I only paid 120 Euros for 11 days which is an excellent price.

Pros: Except the fee everything is fine.

Cons: It's too expensive. 1/3 of the total cost of the car rental is too much.

Cons: On returning the car, we missed the entrance as it wasn’t easy to see when driving.

Cons: Why I was charged 15 Eros for airport tax when I didn't pick up or drop off on the airport..it was suppose to be a free lift from the company to their premises off the airport. Not really free .

Cons: No full tank of fuel for start and little information about road tolls.

Cons: It was a shakedown for money on collection, our credit card "wouldn't" work for the security deposit but was fine to charge for the toll tag. We had no issue with our credit card at any other point and had the credit limit

Pros: The car was very well presented and the agent demonstrated all of the minor scuffs and scratches on the vehicle, even though it was late in the evening. I felt re-assured and this was mirrored by the response when I returned the vehicle in the same condition.

Pros: In a rush at drop off agent very helpful.

Cons: Google maps takes you to the rear, no entry.

Cons: Pick up from airport wasn't very clear where to wait.

Cons: The fact that they were totally in-cooperative when we returned the vehicle.

Pros: Efficient and helpful when I had a mishap with the first vehicle. No fuss replacement and dealt with effectively.

Pros: good paperwork, upgraded to better level of cover which gave peace of mind.

Cons: Car had a number of scuffs etc, had done 131k km, it was acceptable though.

Cons: Being off airport it was a little longer to get to the car but that was worth the cost saving.

Cons: Accused of damaging the car on bottom of front bumper, we challenged this but they had our credit card details! Agent was argumentative and told us we had to pay €300 for the damage. I questioned how he knew it was €300 he said “I sent a photo to my boss” We picked the car up in the dark and yes we did checked the bumps and scratches already on the car but didn’t think that we would have to kneel down to check the bottom of the bumper!

Pros: Telephone call prior to arrival to confirm car was available.

Cons: The provision of a different car to the one I booked.

Pros: All was as I had been told to expect, where to go, how the pick up was to be handled, first class.

Pros: The staff were very polite and helpful. The car was in good mechanical condition and was perfect for our needs, good value for money.

Cons: My car had lots of small chips, scuffs and dents when I picked it up, this meant that I had to take a lot of photos on pick up to avoid any damage charges. The pick up point could have been better signposted.

Pros: The follow up to the mistakes made re the size of car IE, the delivery of another car and the repayment of VAT and Airport tax . Sebastion and Elizabeth were helpful. Dan needed authority to change car. He needed a manager to be accessible.. He made sure our concern was given to the morning shift.

Cons: The Mistakes. Wrong sized car and deduction of VAT and Airport Tax which the booking form clearly stated was not to be applied. The frustration and inconvenience at 12/30 in the morning.
