Klass Wagen at Faro Airport

Pros: I have used Klass Wagon Car on a number of occasions through Discover cars and until now have had no issues with the service or vehicles provided

Cons: The almost fraudulent way that staff insured I took out their excess car insurance. Refusing to take my credit cards as only my middle initial was shown along with my full first and surname. Which is common practice in the UK.

Pros: The car was good although ended up paying much more than I would have from bigger rental outfits

Cons: They quoted a price beforehand and than refused to let us have the car at that price, it reminded me of timeshare salesman of old

Cons: Used klasewagen on 5 occasions now with same details on same card, this time rejected as middle name an initial, WHY? Is it a scam to buy their insurance which Amazingly gets over the problem, using the same credit card? A load of old bollocks!! I am amazed that discover cars are not more accountable for this behaviour

Pros: Absolutely terrible service. We booked the car for two days for less than 20€ and upon pick up they *forced* us to book an additional insured that costed us more than 80€. We had a credit card with full name om the driver's name and they still didn't accept it and they wouldn't talk to the bank. We ended up spending 4x the initial price for the same service. Pros: Despite the problem with the first vehicle, Klass Wagen exchanged to a new one promptly, even upgrading to the next tier.

Cons: The first vehicle had mechanical problems and stopped working due to a lack of oil after about 15km.

WITH YOU.... was useless and I would have to book more with them AND leave a two thousand euro deposit AS WELL. I left with no car as I would not agree to deal with such cowboys. Z-

Pros: I would never use Klass Waggon again. They used blackmail type tactics to try and get you to sign up for insurance. Myself and two other people cancelled their cars at the pick up centre. I have no doubt that had I finalised the booking and took the car that I would have lost my deposit which was hundreds of euros more than I'd ever been asked to pay before. The whole experience was intimidating and absolutely unprofessional. I have hired over 40 cars without anything like this happening!!!!!!

Cons: The very hard sell to provide a 'zero deposit zero risk' at a much inflated price. When this was refused the attitude of the agent was very unhelpful. It subsequently took 1.5 hours to complete the booking in process. The car we ordered was not available so we had to accept an alternative. We would not use Klass Wagen again.

Pros: The way I was treated as a guest, who has been there several times by a new "manager" whom I'd never met.

Cons: I was threatened not to come back, because i choose not to use the Klas Wagen website. I was told my future reservations made on Discover Cars would not be honored. It was obviously a bluff, because I picked up another rental car this afternoon.

Cons: Pick up was terrible and wait time not good. Too many people and not enough staff to sort them. One mini bus definitely not enough when numerous planes arrive at same time.

Pros: The drop off was short and sweet - huge contrast to the pick up. Also the rep didn't seem to be ultra picky on the car verification - as some mentioned they'd pick out every minute detail.

There were many employees when I arrived but most of them sat around doing nothing because only two were able to handle the rental paperwork. It took more than an hour for me to get my car and I only got it then because I started yelling at them to hurry up.

Cons: Even if it has a German name, Klass Wagen is a Romanian rental company. In Faro (PT), the staff is Brazilian. Nothing against foreign companies and staff but if they try to hide their Romanian origin, it's more trasparent if the customer is aware of it. Road assistance for any problem is not included, possibly in charge of the driver.

Wanted to sell their insurance, all sorts of problems, ended up putting the wrong pin in my credit card and locked the card. Asked her to use the manual card machine before I put in the pin wrong, more excuses someone else was using it. I had no other credit card, she asked me for a ATM card to put the extra €140 insurance, then it wasn't a problem taking the car, all she was concerned about

Deposit return will take 2 weeks so unable to comment on this at the moment.

Cons: The car collection process was very long, and I was one of the lucky ones, first off the bus at car collection point.

Cons: Lack of transparency regarding insurance fees. They essentially strong arm you in taking the insurance by making it clear that the deposit will be challenged if anything’s wrong with the car and it’s a messy process so if we don’t take the insurance on top of the fully covered insurance bought when checking out originally, you’ll be at risk of extra damage costs. The process was stressful given you arrive and hope you’ll have a stress free pick up as you’ve paid for all your costs up front.

Pros: Klass Waggen's staff were extremely professional, explaining all details of the rental. The car provided was as described, in the original rental contract and at a competitive cost-effective price. There were no hard sell tactics, just hassle-free professionalism. The shuttle service from and to the airport was efficient and fast. Highly Recommended and will book with Klass Waggen again on my next trip to Portugal!
