Pros: Person at service desk was really efficient. Car I got had 50km on the clock ..basically brand new ! Price was excellent for the 2 weeks in Portugal and the return was equally efficient and simple.All the details were explained very clearly and all questions answered.

Cons: At the desk there are a lot of car rental companies sharing and it was not immediately obvious which one was PAA as there were many car rental company stickers on the wall of the rental station. Once I saw the man in the AA top it was very simple to sort everything.

Pros: The agent that met me was very polite and helpful. Went over all the car for dents etc. Explained the return procedure and fuel policy. On return the agent was a bit late but apologised and I was a bit early. Checked over the car for any other damage and fuel. Also was polite and asked about how the car was for driving and our holiday.

Great English skills and a true desire to help was so welcome after a long flight. I had to return my car and fly out a week early and the PAA went out of their way to make things easy for me.

Cons: Car engine sounded rough and the engine light was on when I picked it up and for the whole week, so I suspect it needed a service - the PAA team said "we just need to take it to SEAT to get them to switch the light off", whereas the engine sounded like it needed a proper service. Also the coolant leaked which, with their advice, I had to top up with water

Within 45 minutes they were out and replaced the car with an upgrade and we’re very apologetic even though it was not there fault. I picked PAA on there impressive reviews and I can now see why they are so thought after. I will definitely use PAA again.

We visit Portugal 3 or 4 times a year and on our previous visit in November 2021, when we returned the car to the airport we were charged 300 euros by the car hire company (MasterKings) for alleged "new" damage. At the time I was furious because I knew we were being "stitched up" so we will never use that company again. So it was good to get an honest deal and not get a nasty surprise at the end of our holiday.

Pros: Friendly and efficient staff who spoke very good English and explained everything thing you needed to know about the process. Car provided was as advertised (booked fiat punto or similar and received Ford Fiesta). The car itself was a few years old but in good overall condition except for a few minor scrapes. A/c worked perfectly. Greeted inside arrival halls and car was delivered to a car park just outside terminal building. Drop off was just outside terminal building so very efficient.

Cons: Fuel policy was ‘same to same’ so hard to judge how much fuel to put in when refuelling. No luggage cover in the boot which would have been useful when leaving bags in the car when parked. Not a negative but they take your credit card details to pay for your toll road usage which they charge a few weeks after you return the car, just to be aware.

Pros: Picking up the car was very easy. The car was as I had ordered and the online booking was straight forward. The representative that dealt with me was very friendly and approachable and answered any questions I had. I was happy when they checked over the car with me before I took and took note of any marking on the car.

Cons: Returning the care with the same amount of fuel as I had received - I dont really have a problem with that so long as it is either full or at least half full - having no awareness of how much the fuel consumption of the car was -I ended up filling the car with petrol and then giving it back with at least €30 more fuel in it. Knowing also then that I would be charged tolls. I asked that the toll fees be waived to counter the extra fuel - I still hope this will happen.

Pros: The collection point is outside, which is much easier to inspect the car than some rental places that are in car parks (e.g. Alicante) where its much more difficult to see any damage to the car. The service provided by Fernando from PAA is first class. We booked with PAA this time after great service from Fernando last year & were pleased to see he was still with them. The transmission blew on us in Lagos, and, rather than come to us with a new car, they had it towed back to Faro (an hour away) and made us come there too, late at night. We had multiple pictures of people working with us to try to troubleshoot the car, and they could not figure it out either. They also said there was nothing wrong with the car and an employee said he is currently driving it. We really should receive a refund for the car.
