Pros: Everything was straight forward to deal with

Cons: They charged me 475 in total for a deposit, and now they are telling me that deposit was only 175 for fuel and tolls, and 300 euro was not a deposit but a insurance (even though i didn't want one from the beginning) and that these money will not return to me.

Cons: Late picking us up from terminal.Attitude of the staff.Time it took to complete hire having pre booked and paid.The insistence of taking out further Insurance having already done so on booking (declined) condition of the car.Having to photograph all the damage on the vehicle not listed on the contract in vertual darkness and while the car was wet.Having to wait a further 10 minutes while the car was being cleaned,not that you'd have noticed,it was filthy.

Cons: Disappointing service, when we dropped the car off we weren’t told the shuttle bus was not available, so we stood there for over 10 minutes along with others waiting for the bus . When we asked about the bus we were told it was in the garage and it was a 2 minute walk to the airport. Considering there were multiple cars available we weren’t offered a lift to the airport. It wasn’t too much of an issue for us as we didn’t have small children or a lot of luggage. Road was very busy. Not good!

Cons: They tried to convince me to pay for another insurance which would have been 16 euros /day extra. Kept telling me that I don’t have an insurance even though I was showing the agent the documents I was sent by discovercars. Also they charged me about 20 pounds extra on the spot instead of what I agreed to online
Cons: Disorganised at the airport. No proper designated collection point and when I called the office to ask they gave me the wrong information. When I questioned this after we finally found the bus, they said "normally......." so if this is the case normally - why change?

Pros: The car was nice and new and had a satnav built in which was great. I don’t think it’s very well maintained though as it didn’t manage to even accelerate up a hill.
Cons: Pricing. Quoted €78 with a deposit of between €240 and €400 ish, but when we arrived, we had to either pay a deposit of €1500 where damages were deducted (a scratch would have cost €400), or pay a non-refundable €150. The €78 car ended up costing me €263. You also have two more deposits to pay, tolls and fuel, so the total hire was over €340. Although, I will get some of that back I assume.

Cons: This is the first and last time I will use Discover Cars or Turisprime. There was no car there when I arrived. When it came 15 minutes later I was greeted with “I’ve been here since19.30! It’s going to cost you 30 euros for being late.” My flight didn’t even land until 19.35 and with the number of flights and checking due to Covid it took over an hour to get through security. They had my flight details I don’t understand what the problem is with this. This was just the beginning of the issues.
Pros: Dealt quickly with handing over the car.
Cons: Very unclear how to access the shuttle service. No obvious meeting point. Phone number listed in rental voucher was out of use. The price paid at the desk was higher than the price stated on the rental voucher because of "taxes". Taxes should be stated in the voucher when purchasing.
Pros: Pleasant staff
Cons: Was waiting half an hour to be picked up because after I called to be collected from the airport and waited 20 minutes, called again and the guy said he had come to collect then waited for 10 minutes then left again. He was in an unmarked van and made no attempt to find us, speak to us etc, just sat there waiting for us to somehow know he was there. Then he left! Where did he think we would have gone? He had to come back again and get us.

Pros: Cost was cheaper than the alternatives. I emailed Turiprime during our hire period to flag the engine warning light problem, asking if they could provide a replacement vehicle or explain what we should do in a breakdown situation and received no response…..
Cons: Vehicle had numerous dents and scratches, smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, had an engine warning light on (and performance impacted as a result, leaving us worried about breaking down all holiday, especially nervous during the return trip back to get our flight home), and the front windscreen washer didn’t work (poor visibility in dry dusty conditions, so needed to manually wash the window several times from the outside during our hire period to maintain safe visibility whilst driving).
Pros: After being picked-up, in person-service was very friendly and staff was availabile to solve any issue with my booking.
Cons: Right at the airport I was 1 hr to get the shuttle bus and it was by mistake that I was picked-up. I was at Faro Airport, and I called the numbers provided in the voucher, but they were from Lisbon and after one attempt, they did not work anymore. Local numbers were not available. Information about where to find the shuttle bus at the Faro Airport was from Lisbon Airport.

Cons: attempt by Turisprime at pressurising us to take out there full insurance package at around £170 saying without it the car is totally our liability for any breakdowns, punctures, damage if not our fault caused by a third party etc and being told the cover offered online by discovercarhire would have been worthless if we'd have paid it to the extent we hardly used our rental car and use Uber most of the time instead
Cons: That'll be a list: Employees were mean, if not rude. I have never had worse customer service in my life. Apparently the insurance wasn't included even though the discover car hire voucher clearly stated that it is. There was an extra charge for using the motorway that wasn't mentioned upfront. I wouldn't recommend this hire company even to my enemy.

Cons: i purchased the car insurance with the car online thinking it was with the same company only to be told not and a bit of scare tactics were used to try and sell me another insurance. it should be made clear on the website where you are buying g the insurance from.

Cons: The agents, in both case at pick up and drop off, were rude and with a bit of attitude. In particular at pick up, because the amount of deposit was different with the voucher at the moment of booking, I asked for explanation and the lady at the desk replied to me: this is my rule that’s why is different from what you find with an online broker . I think if customer get different information online and then at the desk, it’s quite appropriate to ask for clarification.

This is a flight we get regularly so being charged 30 euros extra every time is poor. I will not use the service again when your competitors do not charge this fee.
