Cons: My booking had been misplaced so i w2as delayed by about 30 to 40 minutes on pick -up : No apology, no corresponding offer to extend drop off time by same amount or more as compensation, and despite that was STILL charged an extra fee for an additional driver. At the least that should have been free

Pros: The car was dameged much and the gear and clutch was horrible.

Pros: Price & quality of car, as well as as generally good attitude and helpfulness of agent when picking up & dropping off car.

Cons: The gas empty when I picked it up. I almost ran out before getting to a gas station. Also there was a $40 Euro after hours charge for dropoff when I was lead to believe it was a 24 hr location.

Cons: Didn't receive the car as per the reservation, a Dacia Jogger rather than a Citroen Grand Picasso. So felt it was a bit of a downgrade especially as there was an option for a Dacia Jogger (that was cheaper) I specifically avoided when reserving, so not such good value for money.

If you don't have a physical mastercard or visa they will charge you an extra 30 EUR per day .. on a car that probably cost you 10 EUR per day. Ridiculous.

It also had faults with it and the reps wanted to charge us for every kind of add on that they could find.

Bad surprise to be charged 420 euros more as they didnt accept my crédit card because it's a visa with débit !very annoying as it is not clear on the voucher! On the paragraph "not accepted " only written another card than the Booking one ! WE were tired and stuck AT the airport didnt have the choice to pay the full insurance instead of the 1500€ deposit! Such a pity as went well!

Attendant had to leave the airport on foot to collect the cars for us and the two customers ahead of me in the queue. We did not receive an apology for the wait time and the attendent had the audacity to charge us 40 euros for his services after 8 pm. Given i had two small children with me i had little choice but to pay. I will actively discourage anyone from doing business with million car hire or discovery cars.

While I acknowledge that technically I did a damage, it is 2 times 2 square millimeters in the lower part of the plastic bumper, completely superficial, with no esthetic or functional consequence. I believe that customers should not be charged at all for such minor and insignificant issues. The company is not called MillionCarHire, but Local Cars.

Cons: There were a lot of minor scratches on the car at collection that weren't already shown on the document so I had to take photos and get the agent to come and check those off before I was able to take the car away. The agent was extremely busy at collection and I had to wait an hour before he was available. At busy times there has to be more than one agent.

Cons: Whenever we picked the car up it was very slow as the car wasn’t there, we waited 30 mins with small children for another representative to bring the car. When returning the car they tried to charge us €50 for sand being on the floor of the car. The agent called Alex said that it was in the small print of the contract that you can’t leave it back with sand in it. We were in Faro which is beachside city. I had to take the car to a petrol station beside the airport and hoover it out.

Cons: -10 days after I drop-off the car, the guarantee (1500 euro) still not refund, even everything was ok when drop-off the car ☹️ -very difficult to find "Million Car Hire" în Faro Airport, in fact is called " Local Cars Algarve " - front seats dirty when pick-up the car ☹️ - high milleage car (almost 90k kms) - you have to drop off the car 15 mins before target time (not earlyer ), or they will ask you to pay the parking ticket ☹️

Cons: After completing paper work you have to wait for the rep to go off sight to collect the vehicle which I’ve never experienced before rakes about 10 minutes. Another first was being told to make sure it’s clean before returning or it’ll cost £50 ! Yes a lot cheaper to do it yourself but when holidaying in the algarve sand in the boot and footwell is a given! Other companies used over the years have never given a warning like this before (must be a new thing?)

Cons: When we collected we were told we had to return the car before 8.30am or there would be an additional 30euro charge. We returned it early at 8.00am as requested and they then said oh no you’ve returned it before 8.30 and have to pay 30euros. We had a flight to catch and had no time to argue about how ridiculous it was to charge for returning the car early. I also had full insurance and they made me hold 3000euros on my credit card. Not a good experience at all.

They have agreed to refund it but they should have checked their rental agreement before charging my card!

Pros: The car was unsafe. It had holes in the passengers seats footwells. I believe it’s where tools are stored. They were broken and the plastic was jutting out and could have caused serious harm. The holes were visible and a carpet was thrown over them to disguise the holes. We got our feet caught in these every time we sat in the back.

Cons: Our flight was delayed by 4 hours as there was an incident on the runway. We telephoned Discover hire and Sent them 2 emails to that effect. The message was not passed onto Portugal staff. On arrival the staff were rude and unhelpful! Not sympathetic at the fact of the reason for our delay but kept badgering on about how inconvenient it was for them to come back to the airport with the car. I was told, The agent had to wake up 4 people so we could get our car! He was rude throughout

The representatives wouldn't fit the car seats in for us. - unprofessional service in every way - they asked for an arbitrary payment for scratches which we disputed - how can this be professional??

Cons: Returns. When the agent went to inspect the car he approached it from the drivers side. Instead of opening the car which would have been normal, he went straight to the passenger side and before looking anywhere else pointed out some small surface marks on the panel above the door. It was obvious he was aware of these. The marks could not have been made without either damaging the wing mirror or roof. How many others have been charged 500 Euro for the same marks?

Cons: Booking was for a Mercedes, appreciate the small print says or equivalent but still a little disappointing with the VW. After filling in the initial paperwork I was disappointed that the staff member had to then go offsite to pick up the vehicle.

Cons: Had secured a quote in England with cars seats for this to be increased by another 200 euros in Portugal by hidden extras not clearly explained. We all felt that we had been ripped off!

Pros: Nothing! Will not recommend friends or family

Cons: The local representative company (Local Cars)extremely unprofessional. We collected vehicle after dark, only discovered two days later some damage on the vehicle which wasn't pointed out. I rang them to discuss they just said it was our responsibility to check at collection. I stated that it was dark and not all was visible. Took photo's and emailed them, also got hotel management involved to facilitate within the local language. Company came back apologised said damage was there. They apologise

Cons: The car was poor and the pickup was terrible as I had to wait for 30 minutes in the car park with my wife and two young children.

Cons: It takes a while to collect or drop off the car but there is a queue and you simply make sure you leave enough time.

Cons: unfortunately we had to jump start it on the final 2 days as the battery was flat but it started straight away with jump leads so no problem

Cons: We paid a deposit and had a balance to pay, they made us pay full amount hence payed deposit twice, wouldn't accept that we paid a deposit

Cons: No representatives there when returning car even though they did say they would be. Also not made clear when booking that you need €1200 deposit on card even though you take out extra insurance
