Surprice at Faro Airport

Pros: Car engine and wheels need to be cleaned. Tires were worn out.

Cons: They wanted more insurance. I explained that I took out Full Coverage. They made me feel that it was wrong and that I should have taken Full coverage from them, instead of Discovercars.

Pros: The pick up from the airport was quick and signing the documents for the car was quick

Cons: The guy who checked out the car & gave me the car keys was rude. He told me I had to wash the car before I bought it back or he would charge me 90 euros. I had to speak to the man who went through the paperwork to clarify this information which proved to be incorrect. When I returned the car he tried his hardest to find some damage on it. Spent ages looking at his pics & the car until the guy driving the minivan spoke to him. He behaved as though he was doing me a favour letting me have the car.

Cons: Drop off was a total SCAM!!! The agent went around the car and pointed out a very small mark on the front spoiler, bottom of the front bumper. Said that it was not there prior. Looked at the video taken the morning after pickup and did not see this mark. Took a video of the same area upon drop off and could not see this mark. Had to get down on hands and knees to photograph the area he was pointing out. The spot would be rubbed off during a washing, no dents observed.

Cons: There were far too many hidden fees that we only discovered at the counter when picking up the car. The car we had reserved in advance was not the same size as the one we received. We had three golf bags and two suitcases, but were given a small car that barely fit us. Additionally, we paid €40 for the option to return the car before 8:00 AM, but we were far from the only ones dropping off cars at that time, which made it feel like nothing more than a money-making scheme.

Cons: Scammers. Charged me 300€ for miniscule 3mm scratch which was one of 20 imperfections on low quality car. They obviously never repair the car,but keep milking unsuspecting customers. They have a hyper detailed pre rental inspection , listing the dozens of flaws with car..I now realise in retrospect this is to bamboozle customers with litany of problems so who can tell whether my so called damage was not on it previously. Scoundrels.

Cons: We had a check in time 09:50, and were told by Surprice to return car 2 hours before, but when we arrived at 07:30, although there was a girl who could recieve the car, she told me that before 08:00 there would be €40 charge. We waited till 08:00, a major minus point for customer relations.

Cons: I didn’t like what I fet like was a clear attempt to extort money from me when I returned the car by your agent showing me the tiniest mark on the paint work which he said wasn’t there previously. I would have had to pay €280 except I thankfully had a photo of the damage when I picked up the car. So much so I reminded the agent what I said to him when I was picking up the car. I said “god bless your eyesight becuse I can barely see that”. Just take photos of all existing damage

The petrol was 1/4 full which meant that I had to stop as soon as I got on the freeway to fill the car up. At one point, the car started to spit out water whilst using the air conditioning. I messaged on the WhatsApp help line and no one got back to me. I will not be booking with Surprice again. Their office is also further away than expect

They worked it out for me so I had to take the full insurance but was still not that expensive, and they were really polite and helpful explaining it all, and even gave me a free upgrade as I was now paying so much more, but it did clearly say no amex on my rental, so was totally my fault, I just hadn't noticed!

Cons: Late for drop-off even though I paid an additional £25.00 to drop-off early. This was very poor service, considering the proximity to our return flight departure timing. The rep I dealt with in the office was good, but the overall manager was overly short, rude and abrupt with two other clients whilst I was there, and this set a very bad impression.

Cons: Misleading car pick-up location. The instructions make it sound as if the car located in car park P4 at the airport, whilst in fact the vehicle is not at the airport. When youy arrive at P4, you have to wait for the shuttle to take you to where the car is.

Cons: The ride to and from the airport by the shuttle. We had to wait for a long time before the shuttle came. Children were seated in the shuttle without seatbelts, because the driver wanted to fit as many as possible. The driver drove too fast and it did not feel safe.
