Pros: Good car, good price. Our check-in process went pretty quickly after we got to the counter.

Cons: The check in process was long. York shares the office with several other rental agencies and some of them don't seem to treat customers well, so there were at least 2 very dissatisfied customers in front of us that made the process very long. Also, the shuttle is shared by those several agencies and the information for contacting the shuttle is confusing.

Cons: nobody spoke English. Purchased insurance through website and they demanded I purchase their insurance or I wouldn't be able to rent the vehicle. Car was dirty and smelled like smoke even though there were a dozen no smoking signs with fines attached. Everyone at the rental agency was smoking. Took 45 minutes to pickup the car and only 5 to return.

Cons: No one spoke English, they would not except our insurance cards. We both have full coverage. The car look like the upper doors had been beat with a tire iron. they made me buy things I did not need. Picking up and returning car was a complete Nightmare.

Cons: Communication was not clear saying one thing and doing another. They did not give us a completely full tank of gas when we started the rental, told us at the beginning not to worry about bringing back the car with a full tank of gas. Once we returned the car we made sure it was over 3 quarters full anyway. They demanded we fill the tank fully. So we went to the 7/11 station and did just that and brought it back. They should have told us at the beginning to bring it back with a full tank of gas.

Cons: All the hidden fees, I prepaid for a truck, but I ended up with a compact car. I feel like I was forced and couldn’t get out of getting the additional insurance and prepay for tolls which equal up to $251.00 extra. I will not rent from this location again.

Cons: That I felt pressured into getting the toll package when I only used about $10 in tolls. Also I could not use my own insurance and had to get extra insurance which cost me an extra $275 + for tolls and insurance American I’m from Canada I would greatly appreciate it if I could be reimbursed for that money somehow.

Cons: when we agreed to rent the car; we chose it because the price was affordable, which was $267.90 for the total amount due. we were not given the car unless we paid them $389. this was ridiculous because what am I to do , I'm stuck there. I had brought my insurance liabilities with me that had been used in every car rental I've used for years and they wouldn't accept it. this is totally unacceptable because the price you agreed to on the website should be the same final price!

Cons: Flight was delayed and did not land until after office closed at 11:00pm. Original pick up time was for 10:00 pm. Contacted site ahead of time and told a note would be made and a $25 fee would be required. This does not make sense considering it is one less night the car would be used but already paid for. The next morning we picked up the car at 7:00am and told our original rental was not available so we would have to upgrade at our expense. Agent was rude and nasty.

Cons: The company you fronted the transaction for is a bait and switch operation that would not accept my auto insurance coverage, required me to pay for electronic toll reader though i didnt need it and wouldnt accept the extra liability coverage provided by my MasterCard (CapitalOne). So in order to rent the car at 1030pm at night off the airport I had to get ripped off and pay for their insurance coverage and other fees no other rental car company I have used has ever enforced.

Cons: Hidden fees, paid more than the price agreed upon online, strange insurance requirements, long wait to pick up car, inconsistent branding (NextCar instead of York) which led to questions about authenticity, additional undisclosed security deposit, and just not a great experience. I've rented cars for over a decade and this was by far the strangest experience I've ever had.

Pros: York Car Rental is a scam. Rental agents upsell insurance rates and state that it says it on the Terms and Conditions. However, these Terms and Conditions are also NOT given to the customer until after the reservation is booked. So coverage becomes 300-500 more than the quoted price and nowhere is this stated anywhere on the registration on Discover Cars website. So, in my opinion Discover Cars perpetuates this scam from York Car. 3 additional customers left York Car Rentals besides myself.

I also reviewed your terms and I was misled and lied to regarding the insurance aspect. I was forced to take on a $250 basic insurance charge even though I had my own insurance. It clearly states in your terms and conditions that if I provide proof of my own insurance I dont need your basic insurance coverage
