One Switch Rent a Car at Orlando Airport

Pros: There was nothing to like as I arrived not knowing that my reservation was cancelled. Their lot was filled with cars and I was told there are no cars available.

Cons: There was no service to speak of. I was curtly told to go elsewhere without any attempt at resolving the situation.

Pros: Got an upgrade and a good clean car.

Cons: So much hidden fees…. ans didn’t get any help for paytoll advice

Pros: We at least got the car we reserved, for what that's worth. It was clean, the people were generally nice, if somewhat unhelpful. I think it would have been an even worse experience if I didn't speak spanish, though. The shuttle driver was cool, though, and dropping off the car was pretty easy and straightforward.

Cons: Requiring customers to pay $10/day for a SunPass, since if you don't pay for it, they charge you $28.50 for each toll you pass through, regardless of whether you can pay the toll in cash or not. This is essentially blackmail. I didn't like that they didn't answer their landline to send a shuttle to the airport, and I didn't like the fact that they charged $4.00 to my credit card a week after I rented the car without explanation.

Cons: Our reservation was $160. They were going to charge us $399. When we booked the car there were no additional charges listed. Upon arrival, NextCar charged us $100 for the toll pass. They were not going to let us use our own insurance despite us having adequate coverage. They needed us to provide the declaration page. When we said we’d cancel then our insurance was adequate. Customers before and after us were upset with all the up charges, we were too.

Cons: Was scammed on tolls options. Did not provide a working sat nav and did not care that they did not work. Nobody helped when we had issues.

There was no more shuttles for the rental car when we arrived. As much as I called to notify that I would be late for reasons beyond my control, they did not separate the car that I requested and for which I was willing to pay. Cons: They charged me $40+ dollars to activate the toll transponder when I stated I had my own. I am a Fl resident and in Fl the sticker is not even $20 to purchase. The amount of people that were there when I arrived that cancelled their reservation was unreal due to their LIES AND SCAMS. My $95 rental turned into $291 apparently they only give Fl residents 50 miles a day and if you want unlimited then it’s $20 PER DAY. They didn’t accept my insurance to charge me more. I need my money back for lies.

They up charge you like crazy…it’s sad because you book online thinking you got the best deal in Orlando to pay double for what you booked for. The staff is extremely disrespectful as well. My car rental was suppose to be $157 and I end up paying $349 since they said they said they only had an SUV size and we were supposed to get iintermediate.

The price quoted on the Kayak website was much lower than the actual price due to crazy amount of additional fees that were added when I actually went to pick up the car (at that point I was stranded at this rental company after taking about 2 hours to even get to the point of signing for the car).

Cons: It was advertised at a certain price and when we arrived we learned there were mandatory additional costs we were not aware of (liability insurance) and the actual cost was significantly higher. Also the car we received was in terrible shape. We felt lucky it didn’t break down on us during our trip.

And finally when we got there I ended up spending $400 more for the car because af all these fees I even had my ow rental car insurance and they still charge me insurance I asked for a breakdown of everything and they supposedly can’t give it to you beacause the “system” doesn’t give it to them.

On top of all of this, impossible to get a hold of the facility. I have called 10+ times and no one answers, and I am unable to "leave a message d/t full inbox" Never will use again.

Require you to show your insurance declarations page, which I’ve never experienced before. Will not take anything else. Had dents and scratches over the entire exterior, had maintenance lights on, key fob didn’t work, engine idled roughly and even stalled on us once.

Pros: After reading several bad reviews I can honestly say I was a little hesitant. READ the directions and have your insurance available if you deny the coverage. As far as toll roads, if you don’t get the toll service just simply use no tolls when punching in directions. Be patient and enjoy your vacation.

At one point she tossed the keys across the counter and waved in the direction of the car we were to receive and said, "it's out there." The car was not ready for rental as it was not cleaned/inside or out. She said, "I'm not washing the car." Finally after our pleading we were able to get the car washed but not sanitized inside. Cons: When we got in the car, the car dash read "Car not ready, Maintenance Required." Luckily we did not take the car. We did receive another car, but when returning that car, the cust. rep asked us if we picked up the car in Miami. We were not given any documentation when we returned the car as to what the final bill was or confirmation that we returned the car.

I booked fully intending on having my husband drive, but because I was the one listed on the booking, they were not going to allow a change. The only thing I was offered was to add a second driver for an additional daily fee. Also, it took over 45 minutes to pick up the car and my family had to stand outside in a hot parking lot waiting. My last disappointment was the daily toll road fee. Poor explanation.

The person at the front desk looked at the ccv number on the back of my credit card and when I returned home I had fraudulent transactions on my card and had to cancel it. I know that it is them because they are the only ones who took the ccv # and you need it for online purchases. Very shady place. When I tried to raise the issues with the vehicle

Pros: This place originally told us the price of our car rental would be around $189. Thats what we were quoted online. We get there and they tell me they don’t accept my insurance. (I was not informed of this on the website. It is not made known) and i have to buy theirs (which is extremely overpriced) and that i HAVE to pay for toll coverage (which i didn’t at the place we ended up going with and it was much cheaper anyway) Anyways, our total there would have ended up being over $600 PLUS a $400

Cons: Security deposit. So over $1000 to rent a mid sized sedan for a WEEK. It was the sketchiest place i’ve ever seen and they clearly tried to scam us. We cancelled our reservation and they said we can get a refund of our $30 as well so at this time I am reaching out to do so.

Cons: Pick-up instructions were unclear. Our flight was delayed due to blizzard conditions; making arrangements to pick up our car "after hours" was a hassle. Arrived late at night after traveling for 12 hours with our three-month-old baby and couldn't find our car. The driver stopped answering his phone while we were trying to find him. By the time we got through to someone, we'd already found a reputable car agency with an actual staff, equipped to handle late arrivals. Absolute goddamn nightmare.

Cons: The representative took too long. I arrived at 10:30 and had to pick up the car at 11:00AM and I ended up leaving at 2:00PM. Also, they never pick up the phone and was very rude just saying "You can just cancelled if you don't want to wait for me"

Cons: They didn’t work with my insurance and I only found out about that when I got the voucher for the rental. They had a list of the four insurance companies they work with printed off and laminated at the front desk as if they have to tell people that all the time. Then I was forced to get insurance at $40 per day because that was the only rate they had.

Pros: Only the car cleanliness was good. The audio in the car was disabled and during the entire duration of the rental, we could not listen to any music.

But they ended up charging me double the amount even though they were at fault for not keeping their word. Cons: After being bussed to the rental car agency, we were told we'd have to buy their insurance (at a ridiculous $24.99/day) since they wouldn't accept our Amica insurance. We then had to find transportation back to the airport, where we rented from Dollar, who did accept our insurance. In addition to the inconvenience, we lost our deposit of $38. If you want to salvage any of your reputation with me, a refund of the $38 would be a good start, but I would be surprised if this review goes anywhere.

Cons: There was *nothing* good about this experience. It's clear to me that One Switch is set up to scam tourists out of hundreds of dollars. I have never been more aghast at the underhanded practices of a car rental company, and can not believe this company hasn't been shut down. I have reported these malicious gouging practices to Orbitz, the Orlando Chamber of Commerce, American Express, and the FL legislature.

Cons: They would not accept my auto insurance (Allstate) which was hidden in fine print in the contract after I had already paid (not shown on the website when renting). They only accept Geico, State Farm and Progressive. They made me pay an extra $27/day for their insurance. For that I could have gone with a reputable brand. Also their rental “agency” is a portable building in the back of an airport parking parking lot. When we got off the bus at the “agency” the other passengers told us “good luck”

Cons: Handover poor and greeting from driver. Hugo the boss was ok. I had a slow puncture from pickup with no spare wheel. I was told I would have to pay as out of contract. This left me in a position of trying to sort out the Problem myself. I told Hugo I was leaving the car and getting a taxi home. To be fair it was fixed the next day st no cost to me but this did cause me and my family stress on the night.

Cons: We did not know what to do when we got to airport as info details supplied on voucher incorrect. I spent £17 calling agent to find out how we were getting picked up. Due to 2 families getting car at same time we had to wait 45 mins to be picked up. They only pick up one car at a time , no shuttle bus that I was aware of. They pick you up in the car you are hiring. The car was amazing but after long flight it was a bit stressful.

Pros: Good price, friendly, no hard sell to upgrade, pick up at airport by representative so no queue, great car, no fuss on return. Hugo was great.

Cons: We bought a recommended toll pass for $10 a day...as was recommended...didn’t need it but that’s all down to experience. Again no hard sell.

Cons: We were late due to events on the flight over and then getting through customs was a nightmare. We were unable to use our mobiles until through passport control by which time we were late. Tried explaining to one switch who were NOT even in the slightest bothered. We would like to know why they don't check when flights are due and then can see for themselves if they're delayed.

At first, all appeared okay, until we tried to call for a shuttle after paying roaming fees and being bounced around and forwarded to 4 different numbers. They insist about using their insurance and refuse to use our car insurance or credit card insu

Cons: At 11pm we still didn't have our car despite our flight arrived at 8pm. They refused to rent to us without purchasing the additional insurance even though we had it covered in numerous ways. The car ran out of washer fluid the 2nd day. The place was sketchy, they were in a room the size of a walk-in closet that was hard to find in a hotel and not on the first floor. They had an accent that was difficult to understand. It looked very fly by night. The process of picking up the car was pure hell.

My flight was delay from detroit due to the snow storm, the company text me but I could not see the message because I was inside the aircraft and when I arrive there they had rented my vehicle to another client and the representative tried to charge me the eouble of the price to get a vehicle.
