Drive&Go at Porto Airport

Cons: First car provided had issues with the media system with random and frequant phantom touches which made it impossible and slight dangerous to drive, given it could change car settings at its own volition. Second car had no Android connection and its air conditioning turned off in the 2nd gear. ALSO, company is actually called "Free Rent", which made searching its name quite hard on Maps.

Pros: They are efficient

Cons: When one gets to the airport it takes bit to the pick up point if you don't have phone that works in Portugal.

Cons: The shuttle wasn’t readily available and had to walk over to the office from the airport which took about 5-10 mins. Difficult if you don’t have you eSIM/sim card set up with your phone after having arrived. They did message, but was unable to revive the message. Minor confusion.

Pros: They overcharge for insurance wanted to charge me £1200 for a cheap car.and the staff are rude and not helpful, had to walk from the airport to the the car park as they don’t pick up customers.

Cons: I don’t recommend this company. They charged me an £100 pound for cleaning the car it was done the week before, do not take this company rude people and not working by the law.

Cons: At the arrival, the agent told us our french credit card was not a "debit" card as they needed and we had no other option or to fully cancel the car reservation (and losing the deposit) or to pay an extra 200€ insurance...which we did so at the end, the "good deal" we had with Drive&Go turned out to be NOT such a good deal !

Pros: DriveGo is a convenient and user-friendly service. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, there’s a downside: they charge a fee for the toll device, even though there’s no option to opt out due to legal requirements. This is something that needs to change in the near future. If you plan to use DriveGo, be prepared to pay around 2 € per day. On a positive note, the new location is easily accessible and worth walking to instead of waiting for a shuttle.

The car that I was given - Citroen C4 spacetourer - was far from being economical in terms of petrol consumption. It had an intense odour (to 'neutralise' smoking odour?), which is particularly unpleasant and concerning when travelling with a baby.

Cons: Dizia no voucher que haveria um telefone no aeroporto para ligarmos para a rent a car à chegada. A informação esta incorreta, o telefone não existe, ficamos perdidos no aeroporto e temos ligar do nosso próprio telefone gastando uma chamada internacional. O carro foi entregue com os pneus da frente completamente carecas para um aluguer de duas semanas, o que é extremamente perigoso uma vez que um dos pneus poderia ter rebentado, provocando um acidente e custos para mim.

Pros: We were unlucky to have our car busted by a thief and the agency helped us tremendously. Got us a brand new car immediately and made the whole process of using the insurance a breeze. All in all amazing customer service experience.

Cons: The shuttle car was marked with FreeRent logo. When it came to the airport, we missed it for the first time, as we were expecting a Drive&Go shuttle. I had to call the office, and only then I was instructed to look for a FreeRent van.

Cons: There are no signs of where to wait for the shuttle bus. I had to call them to get picked up and they took a while to pick me up. Returning the car was a nightmare, they don't have any parking spaces, it's all done on the street, where a street market is held, with lots of traffic and cars parked everywhere. I had to park the car behind other parked cars. When I arrived, 2 staff were busy processing new clients and I had to wait a long time for another staff to arrive to process my return.

Pros: The depot is not at the location shown on Google maps, they have moved. When we arrived at the depot the que was out of the door with upset customers wanting to get on their way. But there was the usual hard selling of insurance. The whole office seemed disorganized. When we eventually got our car, it was in poor condition, rear door was badly dented, car had lots of scratches, high mileage over 76 thousand kilometers. Inside was dirty. Car was not showing insurance sticker.

Cons: 1-there was a mix up with the car rental company's address, as they had changed premises recently but the old address was still on the Discover Cars website and voucher, so I went to the wrong location; thankfully I called them and they then came to pick me up and drove me to their actual premises (1.5 km away); 2-instead of blocking the rental deposit off my credit card the car rental company actually charged me the deposit amount (EUR 1 615) - thankfully they then refunded me 2 days later

To my sadness I didn't even get an explanation why and what happened. Simply nothing happened.
