SilverRent at Porto Airport

Cons: The deposit is a lot higher than they mention when you book it and what is in the voucher (a few hundred euros!).

Pros: it did not have the same specifications that we paid for, and it was not worth this amount, it was a Fiat Tipo, and this is not the first time this hashappened to us with Discover Car Company, it is the second time in a row that you do not implement what is in the contract, and what surprised me the most is that when I asked the representative who works in the office to change the car and that I do not want the Fiat, he answered me with complete impudence! These are the only cars available to us

Pros: The know they are advertising different from what they are giving. The vehicle has vibratation on high speed.

Pros: I got a car "upgrade" because someone had just picked up the car I was supposed to rent

Cons: Just one person at the desk, at pick up I had to queue and wait quite long despite being there ahead of scheduled pick up time.

Cons: Completely empty fuel tank. I booked Full to Full. They are blaming me for a small mark on the wheel which I refute. When picking up the car, it had 37355 km on the clock and plenty of marks and scratches. On return they claim that I had made a small mark on the wheel. It was not even a scratch. I refute this claim. They have charged my credit card an exorbitant amount without even advising me what it is for. I accept that some might be for toll charges but they have not provided any receipt.

Cons: They wanted to charge me €40 for being 2 hours late to collect the car. That was more than the cost of the car for the whole weekend. Ridiculous A bit tricky to find them

Pros: Easy to find and good price at the beginning.

Cons: I booked Compact Elite SUV VW T-Roc, but got VW Taigo. Car had no cruise control (just speed LIM), in spite it was stated it has at booking. It had 130km in tank instead of full (It turned RED after 40km) and I lost around 20EUR (10 litres) at drop-off, because it was difficult to manage the right level. The windshield wiper was terrible noisy and ran out of window at driver side. I had to pay extra 24EUR for device for toll roads, which was stated as extra when booking.

Cons: The company didnt warn us about crossing border fine which they took from our bank without our consent. They told us the rule was written on our voucher but when we showed them it wasnt they told us to leave and laughed at us. Disgraceful behaviour.

Cons: Wasn’t easy to find the location. Then took over an hour to get the vehicle. Then they didn’t have one the size we wanted. Then they only offered a small discount - luckily we were with another family so could put our luggage in their car - otherwise we would have been stuck.

Cons: No shuttle bus Car advertised as BMW X1 or similar. Got a Fiat Tipo Cross. Not similar at all! When questioned, the gentleman who processed the booking said they don't even have BMW X1, it's just advertised as that so people book the cars! The car we got was a nice new Fiat and was ok but we paid around 50 euros more than we should because it was falsely advertised.

Cons: Fuel policy that I contracted for was "full to full". However, when we picked up the the car is was only one-sixth full. It is very difficult to gauge consumption for a hire car so I returned the car with a one-third full. That is, twice the amount of fuel than when I picked it up. There was no offer of compensation for the difference.

Pros: Possible to rent the car at the airport and drop it off in Porto downtown at their 2nd office

Pros: Profissionalismo, simpatia e disponibilidade. Recomendo fortemente.

Cons: They sold spec as a BMW and we got a Renault! The sold as full to full and we received a car with 3/8s of a tank so had to fill up on motorway at a premium.
