Pros: Better information needs to be sent to clients about pickup spot. Waited 45 min before having to buy a Portugal sim card to call rental car company.

Cons: Procedure at airport when picking up car needs amending as there is no representative there, which contradicts details in documents provided. Why not tell hirers to ring provider for minibus pick up?

Pros: The representatives were polite and efficient. Once issue of pick up was resolved (see below) collecting and returning the car was a smooth process.
Cons: I was waiting for an hour in the airport as it was not obvious where to meet the representative. The Discover cars instructions were incorrect which did not help. It turned out I was supposed to call them when I arrived and they would come and pick me up but this was not clear from Discover Cars instructions.
Cons: That I had to pay more extra fees for out of business hours service, because our flight was delayed plus I had to spend a lot of time searching for their physical office in the terminal. So I called them a little bit after 18:00. They could hire more employees and shift between them instead of exhausting them and making them work extra hours
Cons: I have nothing to like, a reserved car, and I didn't get one!
Cons: Incredibly slow, even though there was no queue it took one hour to check the car out. Nobody there to meet us to collect the car when returning, despite agreeing a time, so we almost missed flight. We were not shown the car beforehand so unaware if any existing damage. Charged almost £400 for scratches on tyre which we think was already there. Even if it wasn't, a tyre costs about £30 to replace so we are completely appalled at being charged more than 10 times this price.
Pros: Absolutely nothing will never use again and would not recommend.

Cons: We rented a car with a light in the panel indicating that there was something wrong with the engine. They mentioned that the car was fine and we almost had an accident as the engine stopped in the middle of the highway. They change the car but they refuse to pay the 50 EUR on gas that we put in the first vehicle. Also the 378 EUR that they took for the toll payment system has not been returned and they do not answer emails. DO NOT RECOMMEND
Pros: It felt very different to dealing with a large company. It was a personal service. The staff could not do enough. They even programmed the Sat Nav into our language with our destination.

There is a Toll pass / E-toll device fee of 1.90 EUR per day and a maximum of 19.00 EUR per rental.
A Young driver fee is not applied.
Maximum rental age is 80 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the driver license is written in a language other than that of the renting country and/or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the International Driving Permit treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill).
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
When rental period exceeding 28 days, the deposit will be charged at the beginning of the rental.
If the customer takes the following extra equipment: Toll pass / E-toll device, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.
The following payment methods are accepted: Visa Debit Card, MasterCard debit card.
For the Luxury car group, a minimum of two credit cards issued on the main driver's name are required.
The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).

There is an additional charge for each driver.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
The customer must leave a 200-600 EUR deposit for taking Toll pass / E-toll device, which will be charged to their credit card and reimbursed upon expiry of the contract provided the Toll pass / E-toll device is returned in the same condition as upon renting it out.
Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request. Additional charges will be applied.
An administrative fee of 20-80 EUR will be charged for each request received from the traffic police.
