Drivalia at Porto Airport

Pros: Good quality vehicle

Cons: I believe that a possible scam was being used ! I was charged a maximum amount of money for damage I believe was not my fault (I cannot prove that) but the initial pick from the airport when the driver didn’t get out to find clients but drove straight off making us ring again and wait causing delay . The agents overzealous checking of the vehicle (including looking down the length of the car on both sides to see if the body was true) I’ve rented cars for years never seen that b4 !

Cons: They tried to charge me over 650€ for a dent that was already in the car. From what i understood, this is always the method

Pros: They are scammers, they take bad pictures and at the car return they will point things that were on it already. I have been scammed, they charge a fortune on my deposit for things that have been in the car already.

Cons: Hours of operation 8am- ,we had to wait nearly an hour before being picked up at the airport. Also the drop off time is after 8am,which meant we had an pay 40 euros to have a representative start work early in order for us to return our car.. I did mention that to your staff Amanda

Cons: Good car however agent tried to make us pay for a scratch on a wheel. They were insisting we scratched the wheel. However I had taken photos of car when I picked up. I showed their manager and they agreed scratch was already present on wheel. They should have marked this before I picked up car to prevent such a poor experience for me.

Pros: Excellent gentleman agent at the Porto office, very professional and excellent customer service. Excellent car substitution from SUV to Sedan.

Pros: The car and the people working there were amazing!

Cons: More than 300€ for a small mark on the door is almost a robbery, I had insurance but still it does not sound fair.

Cons: The car had a number of dents and scratches. Although I knew I was not responsible for them, it caused me to have a lot of unnecessary angst about an easy return of the vehicle without any disagreement on its condition.

Cons: I didn’t get the car I had booked. I specifically wanted a really small car and there wasn’t one available. I would want a guarantee if I were to book again because it adversely affected my holiday. This might sound trivial but, to me, it was a big thing.

Pros: Their business is not rental car but insurance. They created an history about not having contracted the full insurance in order to charge a little scratch they found after 2 rounds around the car with magnifying glasses.

Cons: They don't want to rent cars. They want easy money finding scratches and charging using the argument that you didn't have total insurance. Ridiculous. Never again!!!

Pros: The service agent was polite but wasn't pleased when confronted with by us on providing a lower quality car.

Pros: It was very fast to handle the rental contract and they were very thorough with explaining everything. With it being my second trip, they were very courteous about switching to speak English instead of Portuguese since I am not fluent at all.

Pros: The agents were very nice. The shuttle direct to nearby airport hotels was really quick and helpful. Checkout was speedy.

Cons: There were lots of random charges for the tolls. They charged my card for several different small amounts and it was difficult to understand why. They had no water in the building when I picked up the car, so the car was really dirty. They cleaned the windshield before I left, but it didn’t feel like a great start. 40 minutes into driving, the check engine light came on (apparently this was typical for the car, but I was not told).

Pros: The car was great. The rental process was quick, professional and efficient.

Cons: I didn’t realize that when I bought the full insurance package and give a deposit for tolls that I had to pay for damages and tolls and then make a claim to the insurance company for reimbursement.

Cons: I was charged for "damage" that might have been there already when I picked up the car as it was impossible to observe without getting nearly down. to the ground. The return inspection looked at places that the initial inspection did not cover. I feel possibly cheated.

Cons: They knowingly gave me a car with an empty tank of gas and said "you can just return it empty." They also forgot to include the charging cord for the car and this led to a lengthy conversation between agents when I was trying to return the car, looking for the cord in the back office. In general, they weren't very friendly either.

Pros: SADORENT had the best price so far for the kind of car we were needing. The service at pick up and drop off was very polite, professional and accommodating since we request a pick up office different than the one we picked when we initially made the reservation. They helped us with no hesitation. I don’t know what it’s like when you have situations, but I like their services..

Cons: Rent-a-car companies off site from the airport are obviously less expensive, I just wish they were at the airport. the shuttle drive from SADORENT was about 8 minutes away from the airport.

Pros: When returning the car. The agent realized the contract was shortened and refunded the difference in a different location drop.

Cons: The agent was not helpful in checking the car out. The voucher was not able to be found from Discover. It appears that there needs to be more communication between the two companies. The process was very slow and involved way to may details that were completed on line but, none of the information was available to the agent.

Pros: good quality / cost ratio, new car ( not Audi Q2, as expected but... )

Cons: have to stand ca 45min on a sidewalk to wait for the shuttle bus to come, took nearly 1,5h from phonecall to abfahrt

Pros: A great experience. The staff were very friendly and made sure that I picked up and dropped off my car as quickly as possible. They were very clear in all terms of the rental. I highly recommend renting from them.

Cons: We payed quite a premium for an automatic vehicle (as compared to a manual), but I suppose that is a market issue :) It wold have been nice to have less deposit (2000 euro is a lot of money to have frozen).

Cons: when car was dropped off the person in charge was licking his fingers and looking for dents or scratches so that we could pay more, eventually he did ,insisting that we have to pay for a scratch that is not noticeable.Then he did the same with the rims of the tires. I always book with europcar and never did the people who work there lick their fingers to find scratches. This year we decided to try this company and we are very dissapointed.

It would also be nice to be directed to a space nearby where I could spend more time getting acquainted with the car before driving off. It would be nice to have a copy of the return sheet when dropping off the car.

Pros: Nothing. When I booked a car I planned for CDAR but got EDAR instead. Also, the information provided by the representative is inaccurate and misleading. Drop off location at Lisbon airport was told to be opened 24 hours. Instead the guy has closed it at 9 PM and left.

Cons: The company has provided absolute junk car. It was supposed to be an automatic transmission. In reality it could no stand on a steep slope without hand brake and it one could not go up the hill after stop without hand brake application. Even on the flat surface transmission is very slow to adjust to the driving conditions and has to be switch for manual operation. Another terrible thing about SADORENT is that it mixes two different car classes CDAR and EDAR.

Cons: There was no desk or representative at Porto airport!
