Cons: Told us the car was in a different place. We wasted 30 mins in the hot sun trying to find it in a distant lot when it was actually right in front of the office. On drop off the rep tried it on with damage which was just a rubber mark. I had to rub it off for him as he maintained it was caused by us and we would have to claim on our own insurance as we had not paid the excess insurance extra. Very dissapointing attitude.

Pros: No. I explained that I was not ok with the surprise fee for the use of my car (over 300 €) and they told me there’s nothing else I can do, but pay. So I didn’t take the car

Despite the rental conditions specified in the Discovery voucher (road services), a representative refused and claimed that this service would be provided for an additional fee and did not wish to refer to detailed conditions in the voucher. Also, this representative demanded to pay in advance for a car wash or to return a washed car (the car was not well washed).

Cons: After telling us the car was brand new in perfect condition and having us sign the contract (without an inspection) we noticed there was actually a small dent on a door and some light scratches. We went back to the desk to ask them to come have a look but they just wouldn't. We were told to take pictures as proof they were already there. It felt weird to me and I was a bit worried about having to argue with them when came the time to drop off the car. But everything was fine in the end.

However, somewhere should be noted that if in case of NOT HAVING the debit card, they will make you pay an ADDITIONAL insurance (silver package being 260e and gold package being 400e in June 2024), which ended up in paying more for insurance than for the car rental itself.

Pros: Discover cars was fine but Felirent were difficult to work with. Charged me €97 for being 9 minutes late. Provided 3/4 of a tank but I was forced to provide a full tank. Wanted me to sign for the car without inspecting it. Nonsense.

Cons: The office was small and cramped,It was a late pick up and we're told to photograph any marks or damages to car... impossible because it was dark and we wanted to get away because we had an hours journey to our holiday destination.On our return to car hire ,they pointed out that we had a damaged wing mirror which they said we had to pay for,we denied causing this damage but because we had a flight to catch we had no choice but to accept this fault!! We are waiting for an invoice from filerent !!

They told us that we had to pay extra money for their insurance in order to cover any car damage and didn't take into consideration that we had already paid a full insurance with you. For them, it was your responsibility for that insurance and had nothing to do with them. So, either you or them are stealing us money

They didnt gave us a car because of not having an "international driving licence", however every other car renal company around was able to offer us the car. In the end, Sixt was very helpful and gave us a car without hestiation. We are still pending for an answer from Discovery Cars and we expect refund from all this bad experience.

It was quick, the car was great (GTI version of the Peugeot 208). Can only recommend! Read a lot of bad reviews on Trustpilot, so maybe it's different in high season. Hopefully not!

I understand the price would have been adjusted if I had confirmed an after 20.00 arrival. That is fine as I would have had a choice at time of purchase. Also for closing the car you had to turn on again and then close it. They know about this issue and said to me, why I worried the car is rolling.
