Pros: Just what I needed for my trip

Cons: They didn't accept the additional insurance waiver I had pre purchased. They still took a CC deposit.

Pros: Pick up speed, drop off speed, frozen money return same day

Cons: They still offering insurance even if you already have it

Pros: Honestly. Rented many cars with different companies. Italy car rent. Was the best experience. They didn’t have the car I asked for. So I got an upgrade which I didn’t want. But definitely will recommend this company to anyone going to Italy! Good value. And the fiat tipo was a nice car to drive!

Cons: For drop off had to call them how to do after hours drop off. And it toke me 3 calls and on hold for 15 minutes. How ever once they picked up. The lady was super nice and was very helpful! Her name was Laura in the Venice airport location. Very nice person and explained it very well.

Cons: Received a smaller Seat Arona instead of T-Roc, could barely fit in it

Pros: Car was clean and did not pose any trouble.

Cons: Furthest one from the aiport, as mentioned price only looks low, agent not helpful (at pickup acts as if do not know english, at drop off english skill rises).

Pros: Good value for money, but car condition should be better.

Cons: Car condition was really bad. It was battered and scratched on all sides of the car.

Pros: The rental process was smooth and trouble-free. Staff were friendly and everything went as expected.

Cons: I specifically chose this company because they advertised the Fiat 500, which was the main reason for my booking. Despite reserving the car two months in advance, I was given a Fiat Panda instead. This was very disappointing and not what I was hoping for.

Cons: It was a busy time for pick up they had one person working the counter. When we picked up the car no one wanted to check the car. She was busy smoking. We dropped off - no one was there to check the car. No customer service

Cons: They tried to charge me for a small bumper scratch 340 euro, but after i provided pictures proof that scratch was there and not done by me, they cancelled the charge.

Cons: Nothing, I returned the car with 5 days in advance, due to an emergency, being forced to fly back to my home, but no refund from them, even thought I wrote them in the same day when returned the car.

Cons: The car was not cleaned, there were extensive damages to the vehicle, not on the handover document.

Cons: for the second time in ten days, I have rented a car with Italy car rent and I have not received the type or class I had requested.

Pros: returning the car took less than 5 minutes. Fantastic.

Cons: Checking out the car took over 1.5 hours, terrible communication, long lines, unfriendly and unhappy agents that constantly left the desk to smoke. No other car rental companies acted this way, no lines for their customers.

Pros: They helped find an alternative car.

Cons: Contract allows the hire company not to hold a car beyond 1hour after booking time.

Pros: The pick up was fast.

Cons: The car was scratched up and the pick up paperwork noted all the various damages to the car but when we returned it in Palermo they accused us of one of the scratches which definitely was not ours. This is a horrible tricky strategy to make more money.

Pros: you were supposed to meet me in the airport, but you didn't. eventually i found your office outside. it took an hour. there were 15 people in line. i asked the person at the front of the line how long they had been waiting and they said '2 hours, but there weren't as many people in line when they started waiting.' so i waited 15 minutes, nobody came out, nobody went in. so i went somewhere else and got a car from them. i want my $53.59 deposit back please.

Pros: Fast and efficient! It was so hot, but the staff remained friendly and helpful

Cons: Given a 9/10 overall as we struggled to find the kiosk on the airport grounds. The documents say 'In terminal' which it isn't and we walked all around to try and find it! Little/no signage for Italy Car Rent and there are loads of car rental companies all over the airport! Instructions for returning the car do say "P4 Rent a car" - but it would be useful to clarify that it's not "P4 short stay" as that's what you come to first!

Cons: Almost impossible to photograph a car in an underground car park. Could not possibly see ever fault on the car. Drop off information was incorrect on website

Pros: Efficient, friendly, generous, offered a choice of cars which resulted in a free upgrade.

Cons: Be aware that the rental desk is actually in the rental car park (P4) in the airport complex, not inside the airport buildings.

They suggested me insurance though I took discovery car insurance - Im pissed with the fact it is not mentioned in your site that it is not the rental conpany insurance,. I waited in the sun for almost a hour after searching for the agency for almost 40 minutes with an handicap child. We got a normal car when rented a SUV then had to wait more for the SUV It was written full to full tank on your site, we got it empty

Cons: They did not explain that the car didn’t predominantly run on petrol, but on methane instead, prior to pick-up: This led to a very difficult situation where we could not locate methane at any petrol stations and could have been stranded. It was completely irresponsible and reckless of them not to share this information beforehand. We were then charged for a superficial chip less than 1mm in size at drop off.

Pros: They made us pay before explaining that the car was smaller than the one we had booked. They refund us inmediately 900€ deposit, but no refund yet 497€. We couldn’t rent a car with them.

Cons: It was a full to full contract but it clearly wasn't full as when we filled it up we left it with 200 miles more than we started. We weren't to know until turning the engine back on that we had overfilled it.

Cons: They have charged me for damage that wasent done by me. They Didn’t give me automatic car as requested. Picked up a new vehicle because service light was and got charged $881 for a scratch at the bottom of the car that I didn’t do. After picking up another vehicle I had found 4 scratches that were not identified in the paper. That means I would’ve been charged for those when returning the car. Unacceptable

Cons: As mentioned above plus ... collecting the car in a dark car park. Impossible to see if any scratches etc. When returning the car there was no option to receive confirmation the car was ok. Signed electronically (will take a photo in future), asked for a print out, told no, it would be emailed, still waiting.

Cons: Pick-up took ages, literary an hour. There was one agent waiting for multiple renters, and the process was fully manual. It seems there is no data transfer between the information I gave Discover and what Italy receives. The Italy agent then let me know that the insurance I purchased from Discover was not valid, and that I would need to purchase an additional €270 insurance from. Upon return the agent could not provide me with any assurance that I would be given my security deposit back.

Cons: Didn’t like staff trying to sell me waver, regardless of me having one already. That was one of the options during booking. Couldn’t find a car which far away from office. Car was either scratched or dented in many places, although only minor scratch to one of the rims was initially marked on the paperwork. Do we’ve lost another hour checking and photographing the car in the presence on rental firm staff member. I thought that my waver would eliminate this process. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I arrived with my credit card which was perfectly fine and I used it before and after the whole trip, suddenly the clerk told me that the payment was not going through and there was a problem with the card. Only after he convinced us to add 220 euros of extended coverage insurance did they agree that my friend would use his credit card, instead of mine. That's how they raised the deal we pre-ordered, by another 220 euros!.

Our flights were delayed they stayed late for us they change the name on the reservation because we couldn’t find the correct passport. Just went out of their way I would definitely recommend them. Cons: They should have seen the contract you offered me and let me know that DiscoverCars was wrong and misleading.

Cons: Bad tires, we slipped easily when it had rained. And I had to sign off on the car before seeing it. It had a lot more damage then I signed off on. Luckily there was an employee that I could address about this and he wrote down the damage we showed him.

Why schould we as your customer be so frustrated in the “Pick up situation” in the late and dark evening

The car had some issues - probably with fuel pomp, giving strange sounds during the ride, it was very stressful and frustrating. Child seat rental was much overpriced.

Asked to move to a manual standard category. They refused. Asked my money back. They refused. Finally got a cabrio the last 2 days but payed it for 5 days. Risky businesses with ITALCAR

Cons: The car although "or similar" was not at all as booked. We booked an estate with sat nav. Collected a hatchback without sat nav ...... Having checked the website this equates to us paying for things which in essence we did not receive.
