Noleggiare at Catania Fontanarossa Airport

Pros: I rented a car in Discover Cars for 179 euros (I paid online) they told me I have to pay 30 more euros when I pick up the car. But when I arrived they told me, they can’t see that I already paid, and I had to pay 330 euros for the car!!! I feel like it is a scam!! I do not recommend at all this Discover Cars and Noleggiare!!!

Cons: I was rear-ended by a vehicle that wasn’t keeping a safe distance, and without even confirming that they had filed a claim with the other party’s insurance, they charged ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS to my credit card. Of course, they reply to emails in the same abusive way they imposed these charges. The accident was not my responsibility—nor would it be anywhere in the world. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!

Cons: Upon arrival at the Catania airport, we encountered communication difficulties with the desk staff of noleggiare, and the explanations provided were unclear. Eventually, we were double-charged for services that had already been paid for in our original reservation with DiscoverCars (additional driver, one-way rental etc).

Cons: The car wasn’t in the same class as requested, wasn’t cleaned and it eventually broke down 4 days before returning. Was a nightmare to arrange recovery using the road side assistance service. Lack of responsiveness from the rental company to assist me with the return/ replacement

Cons: I didn’t like the fact that it was extremely difficult to find knowledge artist office both when we had to pick up the car and especially when we had to return it. We had to park illegally in the airport and I had to run around to try and locate the office of Nora ❤️ Jada. You need to put up signs all the way to guide people to where to return the car. It is super frustrating!

Pros: Never again. Had a number of conversations with Discovercars about the issues listed but little satisfaction. Discovercars should not be listing them. By the time we have used Noleggiare on 3 occasions this trip we will be over 800 euros out of pocket.

Cons: Horrendous service. We pre-booked a car seat for our son, we tried 6 or 7 different car seats, none of which, the seat straps were sufficiently tight enough to protect our son. Another family had the same issue with no help from the staff. They refused to help and at one point shouted at my wife.

Cons: Unfriendly staff. Agressive tactics of selling extra insurance at a completely rip-off price. The car was practically new (~6000 km) but already in a lousy condition (fluid dripping from under the hood, weak A/C, faulty bootlift, so it had to be opened manually and with some effort). Overall a really bad experience, would not recommend.

On the drop off the car they said everything is fine, but one day later I have been charged 59 EUR (although they hold a deposit of 400 EUR) arguing this is due to the fact I have drop off the car >1h later. The 59 EUR they say represent one day of rent, but one day was less than that. I have address Discover cars but they haven't done anything. Is been almost 30 days since the renting and the deposit was not reimbursed.

Cons: Problem z wynajmem. Nie mogłem wynająć na zasadach wcześniej ustalonych musiałem zapłacić więcej. Kaucja płatna kartą jak w opisie lecz resztę zapłaty nie można było zrealizować gotówką chociaż nie było informacji że nie można.

Cons: We had to drop outside the hours. Make sure you take picture of all the scratches at reception of the car and drop off. They wanted to charge us for scratches on wheels which were already there prior pick up. Was able to get it cancelled by providing picture that was there prior pick up. When I flagg to the agent those scratches at checkin of car, he said it was noted in the folder, which seems was not..

Pros: Everyone was pleasant and efficient. The gentleman who assisted when returned our car, went above and beyond the call of duty in helping us transition out of the rental.

Cons: The pick up line was brutal. No shade, and a very long line. After a transatlantic flight, a sunburn was the last thing we expected while picking up our call.

Pros: Web check in is a very nice feature. Car was good, new, clean and well equipped with driving assistance features (rear camera, navigation, blind spot notification...). Margot was very efficient and friendly whne returning the car.

Cons: They were not competent. In the end, noleggiare said I should have cancelled my booking then rebooked rather than pay an upcharge for a vehicle that was supposed to fit 2 bags but did not fit 2 bags. If that was the solution to the problem, that is what o should have been told to do. Discover cars encouraged me to pay the upcharge and dispute it later. Wrong.

Cons: Similar to Toyota aygo meant that we you will receive an Indian car. They did not even know the kind of fuel the car was taking. On our arrival they tried to present our booking as invalid and charge us with a more expensive one.

Pros: Very kind and knowledgeable personnel, the lady at the front desk, as well as on the phone were very prompt and willing to assist. Speaking very good English. Thank you!

Pros: They pretended at the desk that my debit card is not accepted because is not embossed and because of that we had to pay full insurance which almost doubled our cost. This was not indicated in the instructions when we reserved the car on Discovercars. More than that, the representative of Discovercars told me at the phone that we will lose our money if we didn't pay full insurance.

Cons: Noleggiare hides this condition regarding embossed card in order to force people to pay full inaurance. It is not ethical. I will make a complain on confconsumatori.it

I was inform to get in touch with customer service to get thw money back, but customer servixe just didnt give a s**t and did not reapond for a week. When they did, the response was short and didn’t explain the situation. I didnt get my money back. Wrote another email, but again- noleggiare did not respond.

Cons: Incorrect information given about damage to the car that was done to the car prior to picking it up. The representative said damage to the front wheel had been recorded onto the system and there was no need to take photos of it to show when dropping off. However, this was not true and caused issues when dropping off the car.

Unfortunately, the agent who gives out the car had already left home so we were just given the keys and had to find the car by ourselves. This was not easy because it was dark and there are thousands of cars parked across CTA airport of different parking lots so first we had find the proper parking lot. And it would be useful if we got at least some basic info about the car we rented

Pros: Stay away!! My rental car showed a number of serious damages at pick up , which I had to check and sign off in a bad illuminated parking. At drop off the staff pointed to a one cm scratch, told that this was new and he would charge me 230 EUR. After my protest he instantly increased it to 280 EUR and he told me to go. It’s a scam. They don’t respond at all to my emails as I need the paperwork/invoice etc.

Cons: The car had no wiper fluid and the windshield was both dirty inside and outside, a very dangerous condition for driving. I wonder if the car had been cleaned at all, let alone sanitised. Besides the clerk that at pick up was serving me picked up a phone call and dealt with the prospect over the phone asking for information without proceeding with the procedure to give me the car. This happened twice. Very rude. Then she babbled about the system not working. It took forever to get the car.

Cons: the car was brand new but it was extremely dirty from outside because of the rain that took place several days before our pick-up. however, there was a car wash on the parking of the car rentals, so i suppose they usually wash the cars they lease. :))))))))))))))) nobody gives u a chance to read your rental agreement. u are only asked to put ur sign on a computer without seeing what you sign. only after the whole procedure is completed you receive your rental agreement. :)) voilà @Veronika CS
