Differental at Catania Fontanarossa Airport

Pros: The drop off was very easy. Staff was helpful and kind in the pick-up phase.

Cons: There was a 30 minutes waiting, one more person in the desk could have been necessary.

Pros: Our experience with Differental was excellent from start to finish. A special thank you to Marco and Katryn for their kindness and professionalism. They made everything easy and stress-free, especially when our plans changed and they quickly helped us adjust our return time. We travel often and rent cars worldwide, and this was one of our best experiences. Thank you to the whole Differental team. We will definitely use your services again and recommend you to others.

Pros: Vehicle quiality.

Cons: Being informed only a few hours before my flight that the company did not have the baby seat required for my baby’s age was a major issue. Although the team sorted it out the following day, this meant we had to travel one hour back to Catania (and the night after arriving to Italy, travelling one hour to our hotel) with my baby without an appropriate safety seat, which is unacceptable. It should be raised at least one day in advance to give us the chanse to cancel or bring our own chair.

However, upon arriving to collect the vehicle, I was informed that my card was not valid for the security deposit. As a result, I was unable to receive the originally booked car — a Jeep Renegade. I was instead offered alternative vehicles such as a Fiat 600 or Nissan Juke, both of which are noticeably smaller. Cons: I had the most negative experience since I use car rentals (7 years alreadg) I have a non EU driving licence but I never had issues in any continent of this world nor country (last year I also rented a car via your website on Sardinia) but this time they did not want to accept mine or my cousins non EU driving licence and insisted that I have to provide international on (as per the law I can drive as a tourist for at least 15 days). I’ve been charged 80€ for nothing!!!

Cons: Differental is a new company so not many people knew where to find the office. We were told the car should have been cleaned inside and out before return. I've never been asked this before! If this is really the case, this should be made very clear at the beginning. There was also damage to the alloys that had not been recorded prior to our booking. Thankfully we took photos of the damage. Always take clear photos/video of your car before you leave.
