Surprice at Crete Airport Heraklion

Pros: The quick service and pickup/dropoff. We also got the deposit back right away.

Cons: When we went to pick up the car. The woman who showed us the car slamed the door in another car. Leaving a mark (we photographd it immidiatly)

Cons: The car was old and dirty

Pros: Worn out tires,

Cons: They are idiots

Cons: The car condition was terrible. I had to change the car. The tires were so old that was dangerous to drive.

Pros: Fast and easy

Cons: The car was a old broken down car that was reapired after an accident. Sestbealts were missing sides, steering wheel was worn down with the top almost gode. The car was struggling to get up hils in sekondløjtnant gear. The paint on the roof and hood was burned off by the sun. The radio did not work, as there was no antenna on the car.All in all a car in a very poor condition. And the price compared to new rental cars dowtown was very high. A new car and bigger could be rented for less.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: They charged me extra insurance because refused accept my credit card. Also, car was too old... more that 220 000km.

Pros: I found the company name relevant : I was indeed surprised by the price being over the agreed cost

Cons: Being scammed

Pros: The check -in operator.

Cons: Too long a story, the word count here is not enough. How can I report it?

Pros: I liked NOTHING, they are despicable

Cons: The service is despicable, the airport staff very agresive, especially a guy named Antonis

Pros: I wrote all the remarks up

Cons: Wrote up

Pros: sufficiant staff on pick up and drop off

Cons: Car was very old with a lot of damage also inside.

Pros: The car was as ordered

Cons: The fact that the gentleman tried to insist I payed an extra €330 for full insurance, even though I had taken full insurance when booking. He eventually relented.

Pros: Unfortunately, nothing. The staff strictly followed their policy without showing any willingness to help or offer an alternative solution.

Cons: The staff showed no flexibility or customer care. They made no effort to find a solution, even though there were reasonable alternatives that could have been considered.

Cons: The agent at the desk tried very hard to sell me another round of insurance with surprice despite me being fully covered. He then threatened me that if there's any damage, even a scratch in plastic, I would have to pay with no upper limit. I showed him the document that I was covered by discover, but he said it don't matter.

Pros: Return was really quick

Cons: You have to film every scratch on the car in order not to be scammed

Pros: Not much service provided

Cons: Pick up and drop off staff unhelpful and rude. I was told to wash the car before returning it. Adding second driver expensive.

Pros: Price

Cons: Car condition

Pros: great value for money, really nice people. quick effivient service wikll def. buy again

Pros: Heel vriendelijke vlotte service

Cons: De auto was oud en had weinig power in de bergen.

Pros: The company staff was very helpful.

Cons: Old model of the car.

Pros: Surprice explained that they are the provider, not the agent

Cons: The first car had to be swapped (for a much older model with 265k on the clock), and even though i made a special trip from Rethymno to Heraklion (3 hour travel, about 130km) to swap cars, they insisted that i fill up the car and were not helpful, understanding, but unfriendly instead.

Pros: We booked intermediate elite car - mentioned was volvo V40, but we have received very old 10 years old fiat, with lot of broken parts as gear, seat. We are travelling a lot but this was the worst car we ever get.

Pros: Staff was very helpful and service was good

Pros: Good service when the car unfortunately failed.

Pros: The shuttle takes about 5 minutes to the car rental site. Easy take and dropp, nice personel.

Cons: The car had already lots of scratches.

Pros: Agent Maria was very nice. Explained all the details about car and options

Cons: There was a little bit of upselling of insurance. But then it may be due to the spectrum of clients they get.

Pros: Fast and easy drop-off and collection, car in good condition, clear set of pictures of the car's condition. Car had Android Auto, an unexpected bonus.

Pros: Excellent

Cons: Fast

Pros: Expecting a sign for Discovery cars

Pros: Very efficient and polite

Pros: The guy that checked us out was nice.. was REEKED of smoke

Cons: It was hard to understand the whole insurance process and IF there would have been a dent or a scratch.

Pros: Fast and efficient.

Cons: Car was not in perfect condition.

Cons: le responsable du site n est pas tres aimable !!

Pros: Friendly, efficient and good value. They gave me a slightly larger diesel car than the petrol I'd booked which saved me money on fuel and suited me fine. I know some people find that upsetting but not me! The car had a couple of small dinks in it but these were notated at pick up.Their system for recording and evaluating damage is firm but not oppressive unlike many companies now. Also there was no overt pushiness on selling their own insurance. Altogether, I had a great experience.

Cons: Nothing

Pros: It was an old car, 235000 km on clock, but I expected that for the price. Everything worked ok. Staff were friendly. Bit like Ryanair-follow rules and its fine.

Cons: Car rental area area at Heraklion airport is chaotic for all companies based there. If I was arriving after dark I would definitely choose a meet'n'greet service

Pros: The service during both the pickup and return of the vehicle was good and efficient

Cons: 1. We followed the instructions in the reservation regarding the pickup point outside the airport, but it turned out not to be the correct location. A shuttle from the company arrived, but instead of taking us to the pickup point, it directed us to walk there on foot. 2. "At first, we received a car with a malfunctioning air condition. We had to return to the office in order to replace the vehicle – the car should have been inspected before being handed over."

Pros: Very easyJet pick-up and drop off the car.

Pros: Very helpful

Pros: ???

Cons: The car was old and so many marks on vehicle, which had done 98,000 miles.

Pros: Nothing. Rude personal. This company shouldn't be let to offer services.

Cons: Very old car, lot of kilometers (> 200 tsd)

Cons: The car was quite outdated (still had cd player and no usb) and made funny noises while driving

Pros: Quick service.

Cons: Quite a lot of dents and scratches on vehicle. Some of which they wouldn't take pictures of when I picked car up. Had to take pictures myself which I think is quite poor. Passenger door had to be opened from inside due to previous poor repair. Tried to tell me i didn't have full insurance even though I showed them my voucher with full cover

Pros: We have used Surprice several times before. So we were confident about the vehicle we would receive. On this occasion the vehicle had many scratches, minor dints around the vehicle and feel that the vehicle wasn't cleaned thoroughly before our collection. The rear parcel shelf was missing, which they did rectify upon our query and found one from another vehicle. If we hadn't mentioned it they wouldn't have given is one.

Cons: Generally the service is good, we just had to wait a while before someone came to hand over the vehicle.

Pros: Friendly staff.

Cons: They asked me for additional insurance.

Pros: the price was good, people were nice

Cons: the car was terrible, worst car I ever rented, the condition was not good, was not easy to drive. i rented for half the price cars that were in a very good condition. this was a nissan micra old and rough and was like a carriage.

Pros: Very good value for money.

Pros: No service provided

Cons: Just selling additional insurance for 10 times market price

Pros: I have only debit card that’s why I have to pay more 400€ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cons: Very things good. But the credit card problem

Pros: Rien

Cons: L'arnaque en elle même

Pros: The price is competetive, the service is very well-organized and the deposit was returned quickly.

Pros: *Surprice… or rather Surpriced and a bad surprise.** Arrival at 11:30 PM: already a **nighttime surcharge of over €30**. We thought, “OK, that’s the rule.” But at the counter, it was a cold shock: **aggressive staff**, terrible welcome, customers treated like cattle. And then, the **real surprise**: they push you to take extra insurance to avoid a deposit that almost doubles the rental price. Ridiculous..The car, with 50,000 km, was quite worn out: position lights not working, passenger windows

Cons: Fortunately, the return—done away from the airport—was handled by staff who were much friendlier and more professional. A nicer ending… but it doesn’t erase such a disastrous start.

Cons: Quality of car in poor condition and old

Pros: You get what you pay for - so no surprice there. Beaten car but returned with the same level of beaten and then deposit back no problem. All in all good, nice and understanding staff as well

Cons: So slow. My deposit still not refunded

Cons: Terrible experience – never again with Surprice!!!!!!!!! Not recommended at all.. Yes, you pay cheeper, .. I only paid 220 euros for a week, but then when i got to their office. Surprise.they tell me my card is not enough for them, and it has to be a credit card on my name. They gave me two options: 1. Cancel the reservation without getting your money back 2. Paying extra 280€ for another insurance. More then the renting value. I didnt have the choise to pay it. I have never paid so much f

Pros: Slow pick up

Cons: Car was old and with many scrapes and dents. Inside handle was broken off and left very sharp so had to be careful opening passenger door. Parcel shelf was broke in half just holding it together. Sounded old and not a pleasant drive

Pros: Car was clean

Cons: Everything

Pros: Nice lady returning the car, the front desk people were really unhelpful and rude.

Cons: Bad in general. Got a car 15 years old without a functioning radio. It felt like a former destroyed taxi car from the island

Pros: Our flight delayed for 5 hours i called to the office and update they were very kind and usually.

Cons: Not only there also other companies but I think that when you do full insurance by discover cars they want to sell you again and again full insurance by themselves.

Pros: It was an awful experience with Surprice car rental. The car was not ready and we needed to wait for hours! The car condition was terrible. Stuff incredible rude and non empathetic even though we were a large family with kids and it was their fault not having the car ready.

Cons: It was an awful experience with Surprice car rental. The car was not ready and we needed to wait for hours! The car condition was terrible. Stuff incredible rude and non empathetic even though we were a large family with kids and it was their fault not having the car ready.

Pros: tey tried to gave me a car that was not in good condition for my long trip.

Cons: they don't made up stories about changing the car.

Pros: FRIENDLY & HELPFUL STAFF

Cons: OLD AND "PROBLEMATIC" VEHICLE

Pros: Very quick professional service .really friendly staff

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Nothing - just one big scam.

Cons: When I went to pick up the car discover wouldn’t take my danish Visa cards. My options were to pay full insurance in the amount of €550 for full insurance ore provide another credit card. Funny that the €550 for full insurance wasn’t a problem to pay for on the Visa cards. We ordered a Volvo v40 ore similar car and got an old piece of shit fiat tipo. I will never rent a car through discover cars again. This is bad business.

Cons: They gave us a car which was 15-20 years old.

Pros: I was forced to pay extra 330eur for full insurance despite, it was payed already during the order in internet platform. Without that i would get a car at all :( crazy...

Pros: It was a decent car

Cons: You have to know the tricks of upselling if you want to avoid excessive fees. #1: Have a physical credit card with you on the name of the person who rents the car with sufficient funds for 1k€ deposit which will be return upon return of the car #2: If you have car insurance via broker, bank or any other institution - you don't need to purchase extremely highly priced insurance from Surprice. #3 Film everything with your smartphone once the car is presented to you. Every scratch ...

Pros: The car was in very good condition; personal very nice, supportive and helpful.

Cons: Ola Kala!

Pros: Very friendly and pleasant people

Cons: Faster and efficiënt

Pros: Nothing good to say about Surprice.

Cons: The shuttle-station was very hard to find, we had to ask other rental sites for directions. Then, after getting to the rental site, in the Surprice office, they refused to use any credit cards we offered them to take the security deposit. They simply took a quick glance at the card and said this won't work. I offered 5 cards, and none were accepted. Not even tried to take the security deposit! They then told that we have to pay an extra 300€ for insurance to take the car. We cancelled.

Pros: Freundliches Personal.

Pros: Very competitive personnel

Cons: Could be better conditions of car

Pros: Enostavno vračilo

Cons: Depozita ni bilo možno plačati s kartico, čeprav je plačilo zavarovanja šlo skozi?!!! Prisiljen sem bil plačati 420€ zavarovanja ali ostati brez avta

Pros: Proximité aéroport, rapidité des transactions et voiture correspondant à nos attentes

Pros: Efficient and friendly service. Inexpensive rental.

Cons: The car had 100,000 km and had quite a few dents and scratches. The front bumper wasn’t sitting correctly which gave the impression that the car had been in an accident. No Bluetooth. However, the car drove well and for the price we paid it was ok

Pros: Electric key did not work, air condition out of order

Pros: Clean car

Cons: Old car in bad condition

Cons: Accidentally booked a day earlier than planned due to time zone differences. Told by a very rude staff member nothing can be done and then drove off! Out of pocket and very unhappy

Cons: Tried to sell me an expensive insurance. Drop-off place should open earlier the 07:00 as many people have an early flight.

Pros: Polite and informative, answered questions fully. In english despite being their second language.

Cons: Purely being fussy I prefer petrol cars to diesel.

Pros: Very efficient and friendly staff.. Car was well valeted. I like their 7/8 fuel policy.

Cons: Initial car we had was faulty. (But it was swapped very quickly when we returned it.) Both cars were high mileage. (over 250,000)

Pros: They haven’t made giving back the car too hard, and were communicative about it.

Cons: When we arrived their agent tried to scare money out of us by saying that the insurances we booked in advance are practically invalid here and if we don’t pay for an insurance at their office and if something happens we will run after our money. Thus we spent a good 1,5 hours there trying to assess if this is a scam or not, and left with a really bad taste in our mouth. Also the car they provided was in a rough shape in general, aestethically and mechanically alike.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Avoid this company. They refused to give me the car because my legal digital license (accepted in Greece) was not "good enough." Staff were unhelpful, showed no empathy, and left 6 people (including 2 kids) with 7 bags stranded 100 km from our destination at 10 PM. They blamed their insurer, ignored the fact I had my own coverage, and offered no solutions. Totally unprofessional experience.

Pros: Snelheid en kennis

Cons: Ruitenwisser vloeistof reservoir was leeg bleek onderweg.

Pros: The staff was very helpful and professional

Pros: Price and kindness

Cons: The interiors of the car were in a pitiful condition: clean but almost destroyed

Pros: THE SERVICE WITH ATHE AGRNT AT PICK UP (NOT WITH THE MEN THAT GIVE US THE CAR)

Cons: We ordered a Ford Kuga and received a Nissan Qashqai (this is not a problem because the book does not commit to a specific vehicle but to a group. The problem is that we received an 8-year-old vehicle. Without the ability to connect to media and we had to use and watch only on the phone, which became problematic on all trips. In addition, it was not possible to hear the radio because there was no antenna in the car. In addition, the shock absorbers no longer function well and feel very bad

Pros: The representative of Surprice was really professional, provided his insurance options and proceeded without even blinking when I denied that (had insurance already). I was grateful for such a professional approach as I already have had unpleasant situations in the past. The pick up was quick. I was told to photo the car and all the potential scratches. The drop-off was a formality. The hold on my credit card was relieved immediately (even though the agreement stated a long period).

Cons: The stand is not on airport premises but outside of it (and finding it with a heavy bag is not an easy task). Turns out it's only a front - you have the bus hailed and you wait for it. That took a bit too long than I expected. The actual place is 1.5km from the airport. I have specifically chosen a provider with on-premise pick-up to speed things up. The car rental was really cheap, but I wasn't expecting getting a car with rattling noises due to it's truly high mileage. The rest was great.

Pros: Nothing to be honest. Worst car rental company I have ever used.

Cons: 1. Wrong pickup (meeting point) instructions. 2. Absurd procedures where you are asked to leave a signature on every receipt without justification. 3. They require a physical card for payment (not deposit) despite no such information before. 4. The car was in poor condition. Windscreen sprinklers were not working, the steering wheel was loose, and CarPlay stopped working after 2 days. 5. I paid extra for a petrol car, and yet I was given a diesel engine one.

Pros: None

Cons: - Very slow when picking up - Tried to find reasons to charge more during drop off - Car is very old

Pros: Nothing

Cons: They were beyond obnoxious, and scam artists. The worst experience I have ever had with a car rental, hotel, airbnd, we are actually usually easy to please!

Pros: Great staff. Asked for recommendations for restaurants etc and they where ever so helpfull

Cons: The place to pick of the car was not walkable to and from the airport.

Pros: efficient staff and quick service

Cons: the information for the return adress was wrong

Pros: Unacceptable level of pressure from Surprise on customers to buy insurance from them when they know customers already have paid for full insurance. All the customers in the office the same time as me were confused thinking Surprice were suggesting they had no insurance. I told them I already had insurance and didn’t need to buy it again. I was told that if I broke down the road-side recovery I had would not be valid ‘Do you think a UFO will pick you up?’ he said annoyed that I refused to pay x2

Cons: The pressure applied to customers by Surprice to pay almost double the cost of the car for insurance (when they have already paid for insurance) is almost criminal. Very sad - never used ti be like this

Pros: Everything was great. Really appreciated Tasso’s kindness and help at check in

Pros: Very pleasant, quick and efficient

Cons: The car I got was not so clean

Cons: Shuttle to go and come back to the place. Difficulty to find on arrival.

Pros: Everything was as expected!

Cons: Slightly tricky to find, but after a quick call I had no issues.

Pros: Upgrade and direct unblocking reservation on CC

Pros: Friendly and helpful

Cons: Cars with many kilometers

Pros: Friendly and helpful.

Pros: Quick and easy

Pros: Efficiency and friendly

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very quick pick up and drop off.

Cons: Car was dented and scratched on every panel, seats were torn and stained, air conditioning didn't work.

Pros: Quick service!

Cons: Agents trying to convince buying additional insurance to that of discover cars'.

Pros: They were quick and efficient.

Cons: No complaints.

Pros: Very easy drop off

Cons: No charger socket in the car, poor evaluation of the gas tank, had to argue with the agent about that.

Pros: easy for the return

Cons: I've bought a private insurance and I have to get another one at the counter for only a part and the price don't reflect the reel cost of the car

Pros: Clean car.

Cons: They told us to get an insurance of EUR 152 and still hold a deposit of EUR 1100, or otherwise we had to pay EUR 264 or EUR 416 for full insurance extra. Definitely not nice, as this is not mentioned at discovercars.com. People didn’t really speak English very well so we kind of felt scammed.

Pros: Nothing good.

Cons: All is bad.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Car connectivity not working

Pros: NOOOOOO! Doesn't accept French début cars for imaginary reasons. I had to take taxi instead of driving a rented car!!

Cons: Dishonest personnel: they try to upsell non necessary insurance that was omitted to artificially lower the initial price.

Pros: The agent who helped us with the pick up was very helpful and friendly

Pros: Very fast and convinient! Good service!

Pros: Quick and kind

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Good service overall.

Cons: Could have reminded me that we don’t get a discount for missing a day of the rental

Pros: Agréables, disponibles et professionnels.

Pros: The car was damage. The light for servis filter had lighten half of the time.

Pros: value for money and rental agents

Cons: Surprice asks for car cleaning before the return

Pros: Very efficient

Cons: -

Pros: the help desk was kind and try to help us

Pros: Nothing in particular

Cons: They took 7 hrs to give us a new car as the previous one completely broke down

Pros: All stuff were very friendly and polite.

Cons: The car was old with a lot of scratches and flaws. A fuel level wasn't in order. Driver's seat belt doesn't retract properly.

Cons: We had to wait 1h45 in the heat in a long queue to pick up the car when we landed! No apologies, no explanation, no water offered while waiting.. and I am 7 months pregnant.

Pros: After landed, It was difficult to find the Surprice desk as It was out of the airport. At the desk just checked my reservation and I have been accompanied by a their bus at the main Surprice office (2km from the desk) where finally I picked up my car

Cons: See above

Pros: fastnes

Cons: We are writing the official complaint regarding imposing of additional insurance, not accepting debit car and overall bad condition of the vehicle offered.

Pros: Personnel at the drop off were very kind and did a good job.

Cons: The pick up was terrible. Older man (probably 60 years of age) who did the most terrible job ever. It was almost as if he wanted to fight with us. He was trying to scare us and more or less told us we were idiots for not paying 310 euros for insurance, even though we explained we were covered by DC.

Pros: This rent a car company should be de listed now from discover cars.com. I received the oldest car I have seen all my life, having more than 200.000km on board, everything was falling apart inside, the car was good to be sent to junk yard immediately. They refused to give me a decent car upon pick up. If needed I can backup everything I write with documents of the car and tones of pictures. The people at the office when dropping off were decent.

Cons: Instead of giving me a decent car thr lady at the office insisted 10times that I should buy their insurance of nearly 600eur altghouy I said I already had insurance. The total value of the car was less than the insurance they were proposing... Just unbelievable how these companies exist.

Pros: Quick, straight forward and friendly

Cons: Car was technically ok but but dated, lot of miles + 100,000 km and plus 10 years old

Pros: Pretty bad. The car was very old, with 150.000 km, and had many damages. The receipt of the company made no mention of them. I had to take pictures of the different damages, because the company didn't want to consign them in the contract

Cons: Pretty deficient because the reasons noted above

Pros: Friendly & efficient

Pros: No hard sell - I had my own CDW Excess Ins. No "funny business" when I returned the car - I'd taken a video @ pick-up.

Cons: Nothing really, the car was ok which was fine because it was very cheap - excellent VfM

Cons: The car had air conditioning not working. When I have asked replacement, they mentioned that they don’t have a spare car. Furthermore, they asked me to come to their closest location promising a replacement but the local office was not even informed that I am coming and no replacement car was given

Cons: Surprise company cancelled the car because we don’t have credit’s card (only visa debit card) or they asked us to pay more then 300€ euros ! They made the same cancel with other french peoples

Pros: Scammed us 200 euros of extra guarantee stating our credit card issued in France is a debit type

Cons: They tried to lure us in taking an insurance while we already had one with discovercars.com and they knew it.

Pros: Charged 70 euros for bringing the car. Ack 3 hours later.

Cons: Had to pay additional insurance as they wouldn’t accept Amex

Pros: Car price was good and they have regular, free shuttle service to the airport.

Cons: We had to wait 1.5 hours for our car to be 'cleaned' which delayed our plans considerably. The car we received was quite beat up on the outside (lots of scratches, dents, etc.) and the staff was extremely thorough during return to make sure none of these cosmetic issues were caused by us. When renting from them, be sure to take many, many photos/videos of the car before you take it off the lot otherwise you may incur a costly fine.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: The first car offered, a Fiat 500L, was very old, had a terrible automatic transmission, and the staff seemed very unhappy when we asked for a different car. The second car offered, a Peugeot 308, was in very poor condition - there was damage everywhere, but at least the transmission was fine. There were cars in much better condition, so I have no idea why we got this Schrott even though we booked it months in advance. I feel myself cheated and will never book a car again using this service.

Pros: Pretty poor nothing to like, its a scam. Avoid at all costs

Cons: Does not accept major cards or digital payments. Sells insurance separately.

Pros: Fast

Cons: The car was terrible

Pros: Shuttle from Heraklion airport to location a few 100m away.

Cons: Poor service. No damage check of the vehicle. Rental agency reps told me to just take my own pictures of all damages. Contract had a drawing of the car with just 1 damage marked. Rep refused to add extra markings to that drawing. Rep was also in disbelief that I had full insurance via Discovercars. Rep was also not aware we booked a children’s seat.

Cons: They dont have photoes of the car ! If I didnt take my own photos they would probably try to charge me for a scratch that I didnt do

Cons: Very sketchy insurance policy which was clearly their way of making money off of you

Pros: Price was fair

Cons: They tried to charge damages that were not due, We had to solve a problem with battery by ourselves

Pros: I didn't like anything.

Cons: Very bad experience. Child seat status was bad, and they didn't want install it. I felt like I was bullied by the agency, once I didn't buy the extra insurance from them. Will never return there!

Pros: De auto en de netheid.

Cons: Beter aangeven van de locatie waar je opgepikt word

Pros: Perfect service at perfect price!

Pros: So friendly and efficient. A very positive experience.

Cons: We were forced to buy insurance because we don't have a credit card. The instructions to find the rental agency were incorrect.

Pros: We had some trouble with the car, but the staff were great and helped us each time.

Pros: Not much

Cons: I felt like they look for any opportunity to up charge to the extent of looking over the with a hell of a lot more interest and concern when dropped off than on collection.

Pros: They brought me to the right place

Cons: Confusion about the price. But they were friendly

Pros: can't complain about anything

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: After paying for full coverage with you, Surprice said that this insurance wasn’t valid in their country and I had to pay a further £275. They said I had to pay it or if any minor scratch happens on the car I’d have to pay that price to get it fixed, even though the car was full of scratches already. They gave us an old Fiat Qubo which had poor, squeaky breaks, a dodgy gear box and no aircon. The car advertised on Discover Cars was a Fiat Tipo or similar with aircon.

Pros: Very low price. Trustworthy and reliable service. No hidden fees, no rip-off. I could pick up the car at 11pm night for small extra fee.

Cons: Car had many undocumented small body damages (which were difficult to find at the dark pickup location) - had to spend 15 minutes taking photos.

Pros: Superb 4 mins from the airport Very quick

Pros: I dont really knows.

Cons: Hard to find their office. I have booked peugeot SW nad at place i was informed that they dont even posses that cara. I got skoda fabia :( did not have time to search for other car rental so i took what they had. Good that i cleaned up the car, i was not informed about 100euro penalty for not cleaning inside od the car. Happy that it ended.

Pros: Close to the airport

Cons: cooperation. It seems that the local service is completely separated from the online service. It did not feel good. I needed to pay extra insurance instead of a refundable deposit (€1000,-). Even though I paid for the insurance online.

Cons: The car was quite old. From time to time it had a problem with starting up, driving up a hill was a challenge.

Pros: Excellent and kind staff

Pros: Good car rental company and good service! Many thanks!

Cons: I like it!

Pros: Friendly, fast, helpful

Pros: The car we eventually got was in good condition.

Cons: The customer service. When we arrived, we were told we needed to wait at least an additional thirty minutes to get our car as a customer had not returned it yet. We had to ask for them to switch us into a different car category, this was not offered. When we returned the car, we did not realize that returning it in the same condition we received it meant that we had to return it with a completely cleaned interior and exterior. Other car rental agencies only charge a fee when damage has occurred.

Pros: Fast and professional

Cons: Although I booked the car via discover car, they Still tried to sell me their insurance coverage and I had to refuse their coverage

Pros: L'état de la voiture

Cons: Assurance beaucoup trop chère pour une voiture aussi abîmé déjà. 2 fois le prix de la location.

Cons: At the desk , the lady told me ( not asking ) to pay the assurance that I didn’t ask . And insist too much for that.

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: -

Pros: They supplied me with an automatic car like i asked. I received a Nissan Micra 2011, for a week it was enough. Normally you receive a newer car in a better condition

Cons: When we arrived at the airport the rental office was not so easy to find, afterwards they picked us up in a van. We waited outside in the sun for like an hour for service. And when our turn finally arrived they were rude and lazy

Cons: Bad car, air conditioner was not working during hot hours, old car, slipper covers under seats which caused problems while driving

Pros: I didn't rent the car and I loose the reservation money.

Cons: They confirmed the modification of the rental period but they keept the same amount of money. It blows my mind: 1 day less, same money. They didn't find the foul.

Pros: fast to check out & get back to the airport

Cons: location is terrible, hard to find & dangerous to drive in, street is very narrow. Very pushy about added insurance

Cons: Hard sell for high priced insurance. Saying many things aren’t covered by excess. Car was much older than expected and not in great condition. Rear bumper moved slightly. Had warnings in Dutch to add water to radiator (when topping up noticed no lid of washer water bottle) and later for fuel filter

Cons: 1.Demand for additional car insurance. 2.Money which is reserved on credit card will be returned up to two weeks (too long)

Cons: Car AC was not 100% efficient

Cons: They were agressive in the way they spoke to us. We had to pay extra because we didnt have a credit card. The car was not very powerful for the money we spent, very disappointing ! There was no water in the engine to clean the windows with either!

Cons: i had to wait long to get the car the cars AC didnt work good and i was hot and the break also did not work well

Pros: There was some guy at the rental company Surprice which want me to sell some suplimentary insurances even i choose full insurrance in the first, the car was not in the same class like I was requested, when I ask why the car is not ao big, they give me answers witout arguments, in the end we manage using the car selected by them, the drop of the car was ok, no incidents, now I just wait to give me back the deposit warranty -1000e

Pros: Quick and cheap

Cons: Terrible car in poor condition, poorly maintained, brakes worn out, clutch almost gone, and couldn’t use air conditioning when going uphill.

Pros: Fast service.

Cons: The car was a little bit dirty. The seats were stained. The pick-up location is not correct in the description or in the emails. It was not clear at all where to find it. The main office is not mentioned in the description, but it would be helpfull because maybe we could find that faster than the pick-up location.

Pros: Nothing special.

Cons: When we picked up the car, Surprise told us that the interior could not be "dirty" at drop-off. It was really not dirty, only some sand and dust at the feet of the driver, because the mat at the feet of the driver was not usable (completely worn out). They didn't accept the car "because it was dirty". We had either to pay 100 euro or to let the car "vacuum cleaned". They said this was an agreement with Discover cars, to put the price at a lower level. They were very rude and unfriendly.

Pros: Good personal. Fast arrangement. Cars a bit old but no any issues.

Cons: All is perfect

Pros: Was east to book.

Cons: The customer service when we collected the car was truly disgusting. I have never experienced such a shocking service.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Everything

Pros: It is fast and easy.

Cons: The car was total garbage, it was kind of an old Corsa from the late 2000's and we had nearly two brake failure that could have ended very badly if it was for my driving skills.. plus 240€ for this kind of car is WAY overrated.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Old car with high mileage. Not possible to submit a guarantee with the dibit card.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Everything

Pros: Loved the flexibility of the agent. Accepted debit card for paying deposit when credit card failed (problem with PIN).

Cons: The fuel tank was empty (seems to be the same issue for most car rental companies in Crete). Of course, I also had to return an empty one. But it is not very convenient to look for a gas station immediately after leaving the company.

Pros: Quick and friendly

Pros: Nothing

Cons: No release of preauthorisation payment on car return.

Pros: There delivery and collection service to our home!

Cons: The car was very good.

Pros: Λειτουργεί εκβιαστικά η προκράτηση των 900 ευρώ

Cons: Θα ήθελα να μην προκρατούνται χρήματα

Pros: Nothing

Cons: As above. Poor service and ruined my holiday

Pros: Provided an alternate European car, a Fiat Tipo, at greater cost however, instead of the Nissan beater they offered instead of the reserved Citroën.

Cons: Did not have the reserved Citroën 3, and claimed an older beat looking Nissan would suffice. Charged €39 for 3 hour late return...10pm instead of 7 pm.

Pros: bon service, mais je devais avoir une I20 Hunday,il m'a été remis une opel corsa de dix ans d'âge

Pros: once I found the place, everything was efficient and professional

Cons: finding the kiosk at the airport was an adventure, took over an hour and I was close to giving up and renting from someone else

Cons: No reply on my mails, no phone to call, we were charged double the money and you did not returned our payment.

Pros: The car

Cons: There was no shuttle at the arrivals to meet us, we spent 15 mins dragging our suitcases around to try and fine their shack. Then when we did we had to wait in the heat for another 10 mins until a minibus arrived. Then we had to load our cases into the minibus ( no help offered and we’re not that agile) and rode for another 5 mins to the office. We then had to unload our cases (again no help). The ‘same to same’ fuel policy meant we had to fill the car up on collection and leave unused petrol

Pros: Staff were welcoming and professional on arrival and the best thing was we were able to return our car quickly with no issues

Cons: Ordered and paid extra for a Citroen C3 (or similar), got a 2004 Opel Astra (don’t see how this is equivalent). Very old car, first generation automatic that I would need to remove my foot for it to change gears. Crete is mountainous - it really struggled to drive up. Had to really accelerate up a steep road and ended up skidding slightly. Would not use this company again.

Pros: Quick, friendly, also quick to replace the car after it broke down.

Cons: Unfortunately, our car broke down due to an electrical issue.

Pros: .. .they were service oriented and helpfull

Cons: the car was a piece of junk didnt pass gears properly and got stuck on first gelar every second drive. aircondition worked well but you couldnt change the direction of it so back serta would get some coolness but mainly it was simply unsafe.

Pros: Wonderful customer service, fast and very friendly!

Cons: We didn't get instructions on how to put the manual transmission in reverse. Had to pull over and dig up some youtube videos. :)

Pros: RESPINSBLE

Cons: Car menteinec

Pros: Everything was Easy

Cons: Baby seat hired was awful. Full of food and dirty, we had to clean it ourselves. Car was not what we expected, it was about 15 years old, 160,000km and the air conditioning was very bad.and did not work. Scratches and scrapes all over the car and repaired by their DIY can of white spray paint by the looks of things. Pick up location annoying to get to out of terminal and then have to get transferred to the car rental location.

Pros: Friendly, easy, flexible.

Cons: Just the instructions to locate them.

Pros: Clear and straight information about terms and conditions without hidden costs, very helpful staff (we forgot small bag with battery chargers in the car and they help us to find it and give it to our friend)

Cons: Norhing to mention

Pros: Staff nice and easy to reach when needed

Cons: Received smaller car than booked

Pros: Efficient

Cons: Nothing

Pros: All in all they were nice and efficient

Cons: The car itself was not ready, and had a big scratch on the side.

Cons: 950€ guarantee for 3 days of rental the car? It's very expensive.

Pros: Quick, easy, friendly. Overall great

Cons: We were given a lame excuse as to why we could not use an American Express card... when we actually could use it without any issue. The inside of the rented car, the doors had exposed metal panels, which does not seem an issue in itself. However we were thinking if you were traveling with kids, and not being attentive, those panels were HOT as hell. Greece in summer, a car left on a car park... I let you imagine how those panels would heat up. Not the car rental company fault, more the model

Pros: Friendly and quick agents, efficient shuttle bus service.

Cons: The car we got was rather old and there were some small issues with the car's interior and fuel tank.

Pros: Efficient and trustworthy

Cons: Can't think of anything. They even changed the flat battery half way into the rental

Pros: Great service at a great price

Cons: Nothing

Pros: They were very friendly

Cons: They wanted me to pay again extra for insurance, which I already had done.

Pros: At the end of the rental, they picked up the car from our home, for a cost of 22.50 euros. We did appreciate having a car that used diesel fuel.

Cons: The first car given to us had a faulty gas gauge. The second car also had a faulty gas gauge. We do not know how much extra fuel (diesel) we gave them because of the faulty gauge, but approximately 12 liters = Approximately 20.00 euros. This was based on filling the tank and watching the kilometer mileage. Also, we had arranged for a delivery of the car to our home and Surprice canceled this service at the last minute. We then had to hire a taxi which cost us 40.00 euros.

Pros: The car was in need of a cleaning and a service.

Pros: Initial rental price: condition of car

Cons: Exaggerated charge for a tiny scratch on a fender; huge mark-up on petrol; inability to tell me when security deposit would be returned

Pros: Fast and good value

Cons: Bit of a banger but some of the roads in Crete are very rough so rental cars have a tough life

Pros: Fast return of the car

Cons: Condition of the car: ripped off leather around the gear, very bar gear......nets in the back seats, ripped off.......battery in car key could not be replaced.......lights were blind...they car was old and consumed a LOT of petrol!!!! I would have expected a car like this 10 years ago but not in our days. I rent cars all year long.

Pros: Friendly, checked car with me, good car and clear about conditions.

Cons: Finding the desk that is away from terminal and across a road and not easy to see. 5 mins walk but not easy to find with bags. Then you get a van 5 mins from there to main car place to get car.

Pros: The People in alikarnassos more that willing to help

Cons: The People at the airport kiosk treat you like garbage! Give me your money that's the car get lost now! Awful

Pros: Very helpful and kind staff!

Cons: No complaints, overall a great experience!

Pros: Friendly staff. Location of rental desk which was near airport. Ease of return

Cons: Slow service on pick up
