Gomega Car Rentals at Crete Airport Heraklion

Pros: The price was really good. I also took the full insurance, just in case. The process was easy and communication was great before we arrived, but also when we got there. The car was almost new, but not a model I was expecting.

Cons: The whole experience was ruined a bit because of the provided child seat. It was dirty and unsafe - it was missing the important insert for smaller babies (which does come with a new seat) and they did not install it according to the instructions. I had to wash the fabric the next day and add pillows to make it work for our son. When I called, they only offered to visit them to get a new seat - for me that was 2 hours of driving in one direction. That was disappointing.

Pros: Good service, no hassle friendly and close to the airport. Budget friendly.

Cons: Fuel policy, car was 5/8 on fuel, I prefer full to full.

Cons: Only that upon arrival, so when picking the car up, one member of staff bluntly barked at me: "We don't have water!", which is contrary to what I know their policy is, namely a bottle of water for each customer! Fortunately that person is already gone, no longer working there! So although that was slightly unpleasant, Gomega on their own initiative took appropriate action to improve customer friendliness!

Pros: The local office were in touch just after we landed and were very prompt in meeting us at the airport. The driver was very friendly and the journey to the pick up point was a couple of minutes. Drop off was also very efficient with a call in the afternoon to confirm drop off time

Cons: Having landed late at night the pre-release check on the vehicle seemed to take forever with the Gomega representative taking pictures of every part of the vehicle. This seemed particularly excessive for a car that was a number of years old and had many scratches and minor dents reflecting it's age.

Pros: What I like about gomega was the agent Yanis was helphul taking care of the problem that the car had.

Cons: What I didn't like about gomega was that I arrive at 11pm with my family and I pickup a car that the air condition was not working and the youngster agent said it was working that I just need to run the car which was not true.He should have given me another car. I had to return in the morning to have the ac repaired. Yanis was the agent on service and was very helpful.

Cons: The only thing - our car had an engine fault and went into limp mode. According to the agents, it's a known fault with that car (Seat Leon STW diesel). It did mean we had to pull over, with no air conditioning and 2 young kids in the car, causing some mild distress. However, it was easily fixed - the agents just told us to turn the engine on and off 3 times.

Pros: Very friendly, no hidden tricks or charges. Extremely honest with bumps, scratches and fuel level, even pointing out stuff I'd missed to make sure there were no issues on return. Very clear and responsive communication.

The car was in excellent condition and perfect for our trip and everything was explained really well. We forgot to write down the address to return the car to before we left, and they responded promptly to let us know where to drop it off, which went without a hitch.

Pros: They didn' t recognize the full coverage made with Discovery cars and I had to pay €140 plus the €77 that I had from the original reservation. They said they would charge €50 for a flat tire plus €100 for picking me Up. Also the credit card money of €490 was going to be blocked between 25 to 30 days, so I ended Up deciding to pay those €140 extra so they didn' t block my card for a month!!!!!

Pros: GoMega pick up and drop off were easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Like that they have arrangements to drop the car off at a different location. Insurance coverage sounded so much better than what we have had before. Luckily we didn't have to test that.

Cons: We had one small issue with the tire gauge sensor. One must have been bad. It would have been good to know that before we rented as I'm sure it was reset. It was hard to find a working air pressure system to check. Communications about it with GoMega were fine. Tires aren't covered under the insurance, but it wasn't an issue since it was just the sensor and had nothing to do with our driving it.

Cons: The GoMega office is located several driving minutes from the airport. Even the fact that we notified them we are coming earlier due to flight schedule changes by the airline company - nobody was waiting for us and we needed to borrow a cell phone to contact them.

Pros: Gomega was reasonably priced and staff was very helpful. Heraklion (Iraklio) airport and environs are confusing, and they helped out. Buying their insurance on site was helpful, they bundle with airport drop off and removes the security funds hold.

Cons: Took longer than i expected to pick up the car, because I had to find the pick up van across the street, and traffic was crazy. Worth it though.

Cons: Tire pressure sensors were always beeping and I kept constantly filling all 4 tires. Passenger side windshield wiper wasn't cleaning up the windshield. AC didn't perform 30-40 minutes after starting the car (even with internal air flow on). Almost had to pay for scratches on a car I didn't make because I brought car quite dusty and all scratches became visible (those weren't visible when car was freshly washed)

Pros: The staff was very kind, flexible and efficient. After explaining the optional insurance plans we chose a different plan and they enabled the transfer to an alternative plan. After having a slight incidence with another car they supported us effectively over telephone and whatsapp and the insurance rep arrived on site within less than an hour.

But the most ugly thing was when he show me the driver cove mirror, telling me that it was broken, which was a bad lie.
