Pros: The collection process was quick and efficient. My flight was delayed, but the staff kindly waited for me after midnight so I could collect the car.

Cons: My initial car had a fault showing on the dashboard, so I asked to be given a replacement vehicle. I was provided with a smaller car, and I initially struggled to fit all of my luggage inside. However, with the help of the staff, we managed to get everything in. Although the replacement car was smaller than the original one, it was brand new, so overall I was happy with it.

Pros: This company trying to Extort money from you for every little scratch on the car. When I returned the car they inspected me in a way I've never encountered before. The car was in exactly the same condition as when I received it. And yet they tried to find reasons to charge me for 2 cm scratches. Luckily for me I took some pictures when I received the car..

Pros: Quick pick-up, and free shuttle from & to the airport.

Cons: Their actual name is "AutoDask Rentals" (no wonder I couldn't find them) They seem a bit unprofessional, like a new company. They do not really keep record of their vehicle damages, so you really need to make sure to capture (make many photos!) every little damage of the car on pickup (we did not), as they do not inspect the car on pick-up, only on drop-off. The car's engine was not in the best condition (check engine light lit up during the trip, rental said they can't fix the issue)

Cons: Agent demands that the car is returned in original like-new state (car washed and vacuumed in the inside) or threatens the 120 euro cleaning fee. This is nowhere in the contract. The contract states the cleaning fee is only charged if the car is returned "dirty beyond normal and reasonable use" (including stains, odors, etc...) - words straight from the contract. Of course, a car is going to have signs of usage after 1 week of rental. The agent didn't care. This is unprofessional and illegal.

Cons: Although I brought a visa credit card with me, when we were trying to collect the car the agent for some reason couldn't take the deposit. I was then told it was a known issue for British people (I haven't been informed about it in advance). I was forced to purchase an expensive insurance so they could release the car. Even though I already purchased the insurance online. Overall it cost me an additional 148 euros on the day. The car was old and had problems with gear box and fuel gauge.

Pros: Clean car, in very good condition.

Cons: Τhey(MINOAS CAR RENTAL)charged me 450 euros for some small scratches that might have been there, due to my own naivety I didn't check the vehicle properly before taking it over, but even if there weren't any, it's something that can happen to a car when it's moving, and indeed on bad roads like this one in Crete. I am sure that they will charge them to others who will not notice them before receiving the vehicle. Fortunately, I had paid the insurance and they will refund me the money.

Cons: Someone from "Minoa's" will show up, not "King's". They will not let you leave until you receive an hour long speech about how to take care of their car. The only problem is that they will bring you a smaller car than the one that they promised you. When you return the car, be prepared to be scammed. First they will charge you 50 Euro for not cleaning the car, despite this charge not being anywhere in the documentation. Then, they will try and charge you for damage even though there was none

Pros: Great service and accommodation (especially when I made a scheduling error and needed the car one additional day)!

Cons: Only (very minor) challenge was finding them outside the airport. They don't have a counter or desk, so they provide detailed instructions on where to meet outside. After a long international flight and no phone (Heraklion doesn't have mobile phone desks inside), I had to ask a stranger if they would call the person who was meeting us. Not an issue, but did make it interesting.

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 23.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 71.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU countries.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
