Pros: I rented a car in a very low rate. The desk was not inside the airport but with the instructions and Google maps I found it easily within 3 min walking. The car rental companies are all located just across the arrivals. At the desk I got a free upgrade to Citroen c3 in a very good condition. They offered me an insurance at the desk but I have my private insurance with my credit card. The fuel policy was like to like. The car was clean. I would go back. Overall was a good value for money.

I orded a car in Cretes and paid for a full coverage expecting to receive a car with no issues. When I arrived there they tried to sell me a full coverage for a big sum of money and I showed them that I already paid for it but they insisted that I'm not protected. Cons: Normally Discover Cars is okay. But, RiteCars at the Heraklion Airport refused to even look at the photos that we took of the car, before we took picked it up. They charged us for damages anyway. I would not recommend them.

Cons: We booked VW Tiguan but we got Toyota C-HR. I think it is not the same category. RC offered us another insurance. We didn't accept it while we paid for total coverage. But they reserved from the bank account 1800 EURO if something happened. By the return of the car the lady was checking the car with the flashlight. I believe it was missed on the checks done when I collected the car but found when I returned so that I could be charged money and you make more money from the rental of the car.

Toyota CHR is an excellent car, but the windows are small and tall, our little children (4 and 5.5 years old) couldn’t see anything during the ride.
