Pros: They provided a replacement vehicle when the AC stopped working. But they gave us a more damaged car and this also led to the experience described below.

Cons: The pick-up agent was not waiting at the airport. We were charged €570 for a 6 cm dent on the driver's side door. We had no idea it was there. It was not deep and the car's paint was completely intact. It felt like they were just looking for any reason to charge us more. We had never encountered such an intense, almost microscopic, inspection. They even checked if the spare tyre was still in the car. While they have the right to be thorough, it felt like an excuse to take advantage of us.

Pros: The process was quite straightforward and smooth.

Cons: When we picked up the car, the agent really tried to sell us more insurance when we were already fully insured. He said that it would be difficult to claim back money from discovery cars if we had an accident that did not include a police report. We didn’t have any accidents, so I don’t know.

Pros: The pick up and off service and the car we choose that was the same they gave us

Cons: They “ forced “ us to spend other 180€ of insurance because of their internal disposition. So if we damage the car we didn’t have to pay every scratch based on the centimeters. When we give the car back they tried to say we damage the car even if the scratch were all old and dirtiness. In fact we had to convinced showing them the video made when we picked up the car.

Pros: Appena arrivati al desk mi hanno detto che dovevo pagare 150€ in più per l’assicurazione completa sulla carrozzeria e così ho fatto.quando ci hanno consegnato l’auto, stavo per fare le foto, e mi ha subito bloccato dicendo di fare le foto solo ai cerchi perché tanto avevo l’assicurazione completa, beh quando sono tornato mi hanno incolpato di alcune botte (tipo grandine) sul lato sinistro dell’auto, e dato che non c’erano foto dicono che sia stato io, mi hanno trattenuto 75€ comunque.

Pros: ACARENT is an insurance scam. They charged me 900 euro for damages that were already in the car. They did this to another customer when I was picking up the car and to someone else when we were dropping off our car.

Pros: We liked that a personal shuttle picked us up from the airport. But he was late and not standing where other drivers were with a sign so we were lost and waiting for quite a bit.

Cons: We do not like they provided us with a car with multiple scratches, dings and dents and then charged us at the end of the trip for one scratch. Scammers.

Cons: When we dropped the car off there someone spent a long time checking one part of the car but there was no damage caused by us but we had to wait and check the car for 20 minutes.

Pros: As mentioned above, the clerk was really understanding and helpful to rebook me with an automatic transmission when I overlooked that in my initial booking. The return process was also seamless.

Cons: The time to actually pick up the car was lengthier than I expected - there was only one clerk and she was swamped with a long line; people waited at least 20 minutes. The address for the drop-off location was also wrong in the booking so we had to stop and ask for directions since it took us to a location several minutes away.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1000.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 72 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 69.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit. Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher. A digital driver's license will not be accepted — you must bring your physical driving license.
Deposit and deductible policy

Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Greece - Crete Island.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes.
