It was easy to book the car and the check in process was fairly easy as was the drop off process. It took a few minutes to figure out exactly where we needed to be but once we were there, very easy process. The car was a basic economy vehicle but it did the job and it made a big difference in what we were able to do and gave us a lot of flexibility with our plans.

Crete is a beautiful place to visit. Cities of Rethymnon and Chania are a must. Take your wallet, the shops are amazing. Hire a pedalo on Lake Kournas and see the nesting turtles and sea snakes, (not too many to frighten anyone). The beaches at Georgeopolou and Kalyves are beautiful.

Crete is beautiful island with lots of amazing nature spots and vibrant cities. Renting a car was definitely the right decision to see different places at the coast line and in the inner land. Lake Kournas and Rethymno city was our favorite! Also with two small babies on board ☺️ The palace of Knossos is also worth of visiting!
