Pros: We don't like this type of rentalcoùpany that tries by all means to take more money from you than the rental price.

Cons: The car was 10 years old and while th e paintwork looked like new the clutch and supsension were actually very worn. 40000Km at 10 years old means the odometer has been tampered or reset to a low mileage. upon returning the vehicle they tried to make us pay for one scratch that was already fortunately visible on the film I had taken during the pickup. The car arrived clean but dusty after 800 km and a week and they charged us for a car wash. We hadn't seen a single carwash during all the trip!!!

Cons: I was made to pay 700€ for a key that broke off while starting the car. It happened two hours before end of the rental and the staff present when returning the car was absolutely unfriendly, not understanding of the situation, accusing me off potentially having smashed the key!! Even when explaining that this was an extremely uncomfortable situation for me as well, because a key should not just break open when starting the car, having to then drive around with only the metal part in the ignition

Pros: Service was quick, it was easy to find rental agent. We got clear instructions about car drop off. The car was in good condition, we had no issues during the time of using it.

Cons: Reading terms and conditions on discovercars.com, we got to know that both debit card and credit card are accepted to place deposit. When picking up the car it turned out that the deposit for debit card is 2x higher and it wasn't in any way highlighted in terms and conditions. As we didn't plan for this, we ended up taking additional insurance to remove deposit requirement (on top of one we already purchased via discovercars). The terms should be clearer.

Pros: Car was working

Cons: Discrepancy between what we agreed in the contract what we actually got . For example we payed for : full to full fuel policy but we pick up the car with 1/4 of full and resulted in us giving away free 1/4 fuel to the agency . I booked for 3 drivers free but it’s was free only the second. I would suggest to receive your customers in order to sign the contract in a more proper space as we ended up signing it next to the toilets.

Cons: The car worked very well. The biggest issue I had with the vehicle was the air conditioning unit didn’t work correctly about 50% of the time. Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 650.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 72.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

The driver license must be written in English alphabet.

Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Deposit and deductible policy
A separate fuel deposit is required when collecting the vehicle.

Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.


Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Greece - Crete Island.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge. The supplier will hold the vehicle for 1 hour after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
