Established as early as the 18th century, the museum is best known for its classical Farnese marbles, but also boasts artifacts from various other eras. 
• Pompeii. Arguably one of the most famous destinations in all of Italy, Pompeii is the ancient city that was covered by ash in a volcanic eruption in 79 AD. Exploring the landmarks like the Amphitheater, House of the Faun, and Temple of the Apollo, as well as the streets and residential buildings of Pompeii, is an amazing, if somewhat surreal experience. A car trip from the center of Naples to Pompeii takes only about 30 minutes. Similar sites near Naples include Herculaneum and Stabiae.
• Capodimonte Museum. First established in the mid-18th century by King Charles III of Spain, Capodimonte has been one of the most important Italian art museums ever since. Its collections, which are primarily focused on Renaissance-era art, include works by such world-renowned Italian creators as Botticelli, Titian, and Raphael, as well as foreign artists like Peter Bruegel the Elder. The museum complex also includes the beautiful Belvedere Fountain located in front of the main entrance.

Nearest gas station

Benzinaio gas station, located at Via Calata Capodichino, 80144, can be reached in about five minutes and is open 24/7. While there are other gas stations even closer to the airport, this Benzinaio station has the highest rating among other travelers.
