Cons: The rep at the counter was not polite and friendly. She too much forced to sell insurance though I already had the extensive insurance coverage from Discovercars. Additionally she tried to charge my credit card by 700 Euros, although my contract with Discovercars clearly stipulated a deposit for 500 Euros only. The person at the pick-up station was also not polite , even cruel. He does not speak English thus I could not communicate to him properly.

Pros: The car was nice.

Cons: The booking information gave the wrong address, so we arrived at the wrong place and had to wait for the shuttle to take us to the right place. The service at the desk was very slow. It took us an hour from arrival to collecting the car as the process seemed to take forever for the 3 groups in front of us to finish their collection. The car hire location was chaotic with several other businesses in the same place, an extremely packed parking area for the cars. The process was poor.

Cons: Bring up sold more insurance after I already had full coverage that I paid to discovercars.com. A reffing of this would be appreciated as I was taken advantage of and this is a corrupt practice by Autovia. It will keep me from renting with them in the future.

Cons: The car i had was run on dual fuel. I was given the impression not to use unleaded petrol but only the Green alternative. This misinformation caused a degree of panic when i nearly ran out at 22.30 at night and could not find a petrol station selling this fuel. I was saves by an attendant who explained it could run on both. and when one tank empties it automatically switches to the alternative. Please explain this properly.

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 75.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): EU.

Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
