Cons: They do not collect you from the airport as it states when reserving a car with them. We had to walk 2 miles in the blistering sun with 3 suitcases and a 5 month old baby as no one picked up the phone. When we turned up with what exhaustion they showed no remorse or care. The reason we picked surprice is they offered the cheapest deal, in hindsight we should have questioned this. As my partner did not have a credit card in his name, apparently this is an extra change of £300. Appalling service.

They said they were sending a shuttle but it never arrived. I read reviews of Surprice while waiting and it is clear not only that this has happened to many others, but that they engage in extremely shady business practices. Would like a refund of the deposit we paid since we were never able to get the car.

Would never recommend anyone to rent from SurPrice. Unfortunately it is nice to support local independents, but the multinational brands seem to be a better choice in Italy.

You arrive, want to pick up your pre-booked car and then shit hits the fan: a Swiss Master card is called « unsafe » (even though it’s valid globally) and they oblige you to take out an insurance that doubles the car rental price.,

Cons: Surprise is a scam machine. Every second person had the same experience with them and we overheard multiple conversations of being over charged while we were trying to fix the problem and staying at the car rental place for 2 hours.

I had to pay 50$ extra for a day for insurance - this should have been written before and not when I am there without much choices.

Cons: Super long waiting times. I also saw people waiting for the airport shuttle for 45min. They try to force you to buy insurance and on pickup don’t check the car for scratches but then when you drop off the car they suddenly see every tiny scratch so make sure to take lots of pictures!

Cons: First and most important: it has been 8 days since I dropped off the car and my deposit still hasn't been returned. Additionally, on the day of the pickup there was a long line and no comfort for the people who were waiting. Also, the car that had been contracted was not available, there was only Fiat Panda (a category below), so I had to pay about 80% more to get a higher category car. Last but not least, the car was very dirty! Terrible service overall.

Cons: One hour late departure. The insurance story on site was different to the website. Terribly oversized vehicle despite a modest VW van being apparently available in the car park. Our booking was for a Mercedes Vito or similar - that should have been about 1.9 m high, 2.2 m wide and 4.9 m long. The vehicle they gave us was instead a gigantic Ford Transit, about 2.8 m high, 2.5 m wide and almost 7 m long, which was unnecessarily stressful driving along the winding Amalfi coast road.

Cons: My flight was delayed. I called the Surprice as soon as I knew flight would be delayed, and they said they would wait, but the place was all locked up at 11:10pm. I arrived back there at 8:05am the next morning only to be told I was a "no show" for the night before. Apparently I didn't book a car, what I actually booked was a 1 hour window in which I had to collect the car, or lose my deposit. Totally unacceptable. Will never use again.

Cons: We ordered a GPS and when we arrived the rental agency, we found that there is no GPS in the car and no available GPS. We had trouble to set an internet package (if we new in advance that we can't have GPS, we would arrange it upfront. The result was a lot of time and gas spend in order to find our 1st night accommodation. We got a car with "insufficient air" alarm on. We had to spend time trying to figure out the problematic tire, and at the end we had to use the pump to fix it.

Then all they had left was manuals so that didn’t work and is not what we ordered. It look 3 hours for them to get us a car that worked so we had to spent 3 hours of our vacation sitting in their lot.

Starting from location which is unclear, even with Google Maps (you have to walk for not less than 30 minutes with luggage), continue with the queue for several hours to get the car and finally your experience at the desk. Poor English, low level of professionalism and absolutely not existing customer service. My car was replaced twice, my price jumped high :(

The car reeked of cigarettes and was literally not cleaned since the last driver had it.
