Nico Rent a Car at Miami Airport

Pros: 1st— the have the old address in the voucher so it took us an extra half hour to find the new place

Cons: The mandatory 3 insurances they charge you. They should be up front with the right price so if you have a budget to adjust to it.

Cons: Bait and switch tactics. I reserved a car for 280 but ended up costing me over 600 due to hidden fees that were not disclosed when I booked the car rental.

Pros: For an economy car Nissan paid $ 420 for a week of use! Although when booking the price was $ 170! The car was provided with electronics problems and with an oil error in the engine, the car was twitching all the time and the electronics were flashing, we called the operator and talked about the problem, we were told that it was okay to change the oil! why didn't they change it before they gave us the car? The company address is different from the pick up and drop off address.

Pros: The customer service representative’s were a pleasure to deal with and the pricing was very good . This is my first time renting in Miami from Nico and would use them again and recommend them too.You should always remember wherever you rent from to bring ALL your insurance coverage information so you don’t get charged extra. Nico asked for it and we had it ready for them and had no problems . Our deposit of $500.00 was returned very quickly.

Pros: I did have a camera fall out of my pocket in the shuttle car and they did hold it in there office for me until I could come back a few days later so 10/10 for that.

Cons: The extra insurance and fees that weren't up front on the website quote. Car cost was $391 but ended up costing $778.84. Additionally the deposit of $139 I paid thru the discovercars website was not subtracted from this amount. I have not been able to get this resolved so at this time I would not recommend this website or car rental place for future business as it stands.

Pros: The worst car exp I have ever had. Waited 30 min to be picked up in the Fl. Heat. Had to share the shuttle with another family. After waiting over an hour, I went to them and said I need service immediately. I was with my 74-year-old mother and she was exhausted. They reluctantly helped me. Only then to find out I need a $1 million car policy. Or I would have to rent their policy for $60 a day. My insurance would not cover that. We were left stranded. Disturbing!!

Pros: The service provided by Nico Rent a Car was shady. Followed the directions to find the pickup spot "pole 5" waited there for more than 20 mins due to lack of information on the voucher. Called a few numbers and finally got a hold of someone to pick us up and was told, you have to call once you're at the pickup spot. Who knew that, since it wasn't mentioned in the booking voucher. The driver was very pleasant, who was also the agent.

Cons: A $200 rental quickly turned in $800 due to hidden fees not mentioned during booking. I was told I had to get their insurance since I was from out of town. If I remember correctly, $89 a day. Left without a car and took Lyft from Nico Rent a Car to destination.

Most Car Rentals run shuttles from the airport to their location at some frequency (every 10 -15 mins). There were tons of other shuttles picking up but not one NICO shuttle.

A complete bait-and-switch, upon entering the establishment, they said they had a "new policy" that said I either needed to purchase their insurance or show proof of my own car insurance. As a result, instead of my original proposed payment of $350, they attempted to charge me over $1,000. I would NEVER use this car service. I literally left and will NEVER return.

Pros: The front bumper was falling off and the lt rear tire had a slow leak and the tire pressure was down to 22 pounds! I did tell the young man that gave me the car and he said( It was ok! He checked the tire pressure and it was ok and the sensor needed to reset) By the next day the tire was flat! Thank god I had my AAA card and got air in the tire. So imagine how our vacation went!
